Chapter 38 - The Straw Hat Revenge Fleet

Swordshadow twirled his newly earned achievement window, grin spreading.

"So if you think about it, this passive skill's actually busted, right?"

He leaned closer to the camera, excitement crackling through his tone.

"Everyone else gets one-off loot — Devil Fruits, named swords — but this? This is permanent, a full-body buff!"

He tapped his chest proudly.

"From my years of gaming, take it from me: gear and active skills come and go, but a good passive? That's forever."

[Wait, when he puts it that way… it does sound OP.]

[Yeah, passive scaling builds are always broken late-game!]

Laughter and mock complaints filled the chat again — a familiar mix of jealousy and admiration.

Swordshadow basked in it.

"Alright, family. Got a thousand points. Let's open a chest — see what we get this time!"

He found a quiet alley, purchased a Greenwood Chest, and ran his fingers over the smooth grain before placing his palm on the lid.

The light flared—white swallowing the screen.

When it cleared, something cold and curved lay across his hands.

A snake-like blade, bending in several sharp ripples down its length.

[WOAH! That's a kris sword—Malay style!]

[Exotic drop, baby!]

The notification blinked:

[Congratulations! You have opened a Greenwood Chest and obtained a Fast Blade: Unnamed.]

Swordshadow grinned. "Heh, even the sword's dancing. Guess the circus theme's here to stay.

I'll call you Little Snake, then — Fast Blade Little Snake."

He admired the eerie shimmer along its spine before tucking it at his waist.

The Fallen Crew

Back at the Buggy camp, the atmosphere was heavy.

Mohji, Cabaji, and Richie the lion all returned battered and humiliated.

Word of Buggy's defeat at the hands of Straw Hat Luffy spread fast.

For the first time, the whole Buggy Pirates sat slumped in silence.

Swordshadow stared at them, at the smoldering firepit and broken cannon shells, and spoke quietly to his viewers.

"Family… something clicked just now.

Look at Luffy — that straw hat, the earliest debut, the freedom, the laughter. It's obvious: he's the main character of this world.

Wherever he goes, the air gets lighter.

And us? The defeated? We get left behind with our regrets."

The mood of the chat sobered.

A million people watching in the early-morning dark found themselves thinking of real-life losses and stalled dreams.

Then Swordshadow straightened, voice firm again.

"But so what?"

He clenched his fist.

"The old Buggy Pirates failed because they didn't have me.

Starting today, this crew rises again!"

Buggy blinked, then slowly stood.

One by one, Mohji, Cabaji, and Richie followed, hands stacked together.

"I, Captain Buggy, swear we'll make that straw-hat brat pay!"

Their shout shook the air — half comical, half genuine.

A New Visitor

Crunch, crunch.

Bootsteps echoed down the dirt path.

A towering woman emerged from the trees, spiked club over her shoulder, freckles dotting her round face.

[NO WAY—Alvida?!]

Swordshadow froze, instantly recognizing her from whispers and bounty sheets.

Buggy squinted. "Alvida? What are you doing here?"

The woman smirked. "Heard you got flattened by that Straw Hat kid too.

Doesn't feel good, huh?"

Buggy's smile stiffened. "Tch. Watch your mouth, woman."

"Relax." Alvida waved the club lazily.

"I'm not here to fight. I'm here to propose an alliance."

"Alliance?" Buggy's eyes narrowed.

She grinned wide.

"Let's form the Straw Hat Revenge Fleet.

You and me — the East Blue's strongest captains. We hunt him down together."

The phrase hung in the air like gunpowder smoke.

Buggy's expression shifted from suspicion… to gleeful excitement.

"Straw Hat Revenge Fleet, huh?

Heh heh… I like the sound of that."

Alvida's grin sharpened.

"Before we go chasing him, though, we need power. I've caught wind of a Devil Fruit somewhere nearby.

Help me find it, and we'll make sure our revenge actually counts."

At the mention of treasure, Buggy's pupils gleamed like gold coins.

A Devil Fruit — rare, priceless, irresistible.

He smacked a fist into his palm.

"Deal! Let's find it. If it's treasure, I'm in!"

Swordshadow's camera caught the moment:

two clowns shaking hands under the dawn light,

and in that handshake, the birth of something absurd—

a patched-together fleet of losers,

ready to challenge destiny itself.

[The "Straw Hat Revenge Fleet" arc is about to go wild!]

[Buggy x Alvida crossover, let's GOOOO!]

And somewhere far across the sea, unaware of the storm forming behind him,

Luffy laughed under a newly sewn hat,

the threads glinting like fate itself.
