Luffy turned and met a handsome face behind round lenses.
Slicked-back green hair, black suit—the butler stood in the doorway like a wall.
Blocking Luffy's hand, the man angled toward Kaya.
"Miss Kaya, your condition is delicate. Best not shake hands with people of the sea—germs and all."
"Klahadore…" Kaya hesitated, feeling it rude.
The Straw Hats didn't mind; Luffy just scratched his head and laughed.
"Ahaha—sorry about that, Miss Kaya!"
While Luffy apologized, Zoro's gaze narrowed. The butler lifted his wrist to nudge his glasses up.
Plenty of bespectacled folks push their frames.
But with the wrist?
Little Fisherman looked too, eyes tightening.
[Guys… who pushes glasses like that?]
[Right? I've seen finger-pushes, not wrist shoves.]
[That motion's off. Creepy, even.]
They didn't dwell on it. At Kaya's invite, the group entered the villa. She even asked Klahadore to arrange a lavish dinner.
She invited Usopp, too—but one glance at the butler made him wilt.
"N-no thanks… I've got things to do. You all eat."
Forced smile. Shoulders shrinking.
Chat sighed.
[Ugh, this is me in school—crushing on the class goddess and backing off at the door.]
[Don't bring back the pain, bro.]
Viewers drifted across channels.
—Net-Addict Girl had joined Isshin Dojo under Koushirou, grinding basic sword drills. Talent? Meh. Progress? Slow.
—Sword-Shadow Flow sailed with Buggy, course skewed away from Syrup Village.
—White-Robed Drunkard kept sweating through drills at Loguetown.
His chat suddenly pinged a finding:
[WTF, Old Thief, how are you LV7 already?!]
[You were LV6 this morning—sneak grinding?]
[Traitor! Grinding off-camera!]
He chuckled. "Trying to surprise you, that's all. At this pace I'll push LV10 soon. And no, I won't drop my free attribute into Body yet—I'll grind up naturally, then pop the point on top. Double win, right?"
[You just want to flex in front of Tashigi.]
[Hands off my Tashigi, you fiend!]
He grinned—then froze, eyes narrowing.
"Someone said Little Fisherman met a weird guy? Huge hand… wrist-push glasses?"
Chat confirmed.
[Yeah, name's Klahadore. Just a butler, but way too controlling—blocked Kaya from even shaking hands.]
[And that wrist thing… tch.]
White-Robed Drunkard frowned. "Klahadore… wrist push…" He shook his head. "Probably overthinking it."
He slashed Seijū forward in practice—when a figure strode past, arms full of files.
"Tashigi, ma'am!"
She paused and turned, approving his pre-dawn grind. "Good. Keep working like this, and you'll be worthy of that Great Grade blade, Seijū."
He nodded… then eyed the bundle in her hands. "Ma'am, are you headed to…?"
Normally a raw recruit wouldn't pry. Normally Tashigi wouldn't answer.
But this one—earnest, relentless, and yes, occasionally bribing her with polishing oil—earned a glance.
"Fresh dispatch this morning: Vice Admiral Garp is almost at Loguetown," she said. "Captain Smoker asked me to compile the files on former Captain Morgan for his review."
"Garp is coming?!"
White-Robed snapped ramrod straight.
Tashigi smiled. "Captain said he'll bring us along to meet him."
"Really?!"
His pulse hammered. The Hero of the Marines—straight out of the Hall of Fame. If he could meet him… maybe even trigger an achievement?
If he didn't faint first.
