Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Cat's Prank

After reaching the upper floor, Cipher looked around and quickly determined the route to jump from here to the opposite warehouse roof.

"Route confirmed, now... Stealth activated!"

As her words fell, a purple glow enveloped Cipher's entire body.

As for why Cipher still chose to jump from the rooftop despite having the secret technique of stealth, the answer was that she had grown to like the feeling of leaping through the air, and activating the secret technique was merely to avoid being discovered.

With a few jumps, the distance of over forty meters vanished in an instant.

Upon reaching the warehouse roof, Cipher saw that no one was looking up, so she deactivated her secret technique.

She walked to the edge of the roof, and after confirming her position, she waved in Lauren's direction.

Because of Cipher's departure, Jasmine, who had returned to her observation post, glanced at the warehouse roof with her peripheral vision while observing the warehouse with binoculars, noticing some movement.

Curious, she looked up.

And saw the cat-girl standing on the roof, waving.

"Cipher?! How did she get to the warehouse roof?"

Jasmine's eyes widened as she exclaimed in disbelief.

"On the roof?"

"Sister Cipher? Where?"

Hearing Jasmine's voice, Lauren and Ethan, who had been sitting nearby preparing for battle, were also drawn over.

"Right on the roof of that warehouse, look!"

Saying this, Jasmine handed her binoculars to Lauren.

Lauren took the binoculars and immediately looked towards the warehouse roof, also seeing Cipher waving.

"She's really on the roof already, Sister Cipher is amazing!"

Lauren pulled her head back, exclaiming in a low, excited voice.

Seeing that she had finished looking, Ethan took the binoculars from her hand, then also poked his head out to take a look.

He quickly retracted his head, with a hint of shock in his eyes.

Considering the time it took Cipher to get upstairs.

Only twenty seconds had passed when Jasmine discovered Cipher on the roof.

Although the distance here was only over forty meters, it's important to note that these twenty seconds included going upstairs → reaching the roof over there → being discovered by Jasmine.

This speed is too fast!

Cat-like features, extreme agility and speed... Was she a high-level genetically modified human from Genesis Technology before she lost her memory?

Ethan fell into deep thought.

Switching back to Cipher's perspective.

After observing that all three of their heads had popped out once, Cipher stopped waving.

She looked down and saw the two gang members guarding the gate.

'Let's take care of the one by the second-floor window first.'

Thinking this, Cipher took a deep breath, lightly pushed off with her toes, and then plunged downwards in a diving posture, facing away from the warehouse.

The wind whistled past her ears, and in just an instant, her figure was about to land at the second-floor window.

At this moment, it was as if Cipher had eyes on her back; just as she landed at the window, she precisely grabbed the upper frame of the window with a backhand.

Then, using the force of her descent, Cipher swung directly into the second floor of the warehouse.

As soon as she entered the second floor, Cipher saw the gang member staring at her with an incredulous expression, then he opened his mouth, intending to shout out.

Would Cipher give him that chance? Of course not!

Using the still-present inertia, she immediately straddled the gang member's shoulders.

Cipher then quickly reached out and grabbed his head, twisted it sharply to the right, and then jumped off the gang member's body.

As for the gang member, after Cipher twisted his neck to the right, he fell unconscious to the ground.

"Meow-hoo! One down! That dizzying sense of weightlessness just now was really thrilling, meow!"

Cipher excitedly stretched her body and took the pistol hanging from the gang member's waist.

She then went to the window and looked down at the two gang members below, who were still oblivious to what had happened on the second floor.

"Next... it's your turn!"

Looking at the two people below, Cipher stuck out her small tongue and licked her lips, then she threw the pistol down from the second floor.

The pistol landed in front of the two, making a slight sound.

The two men, who were guarding the warehouse gate, were startled by the sudden falling object.

They first looked left and right nervously, but found that there seemed to be no other movement.

After exchanging glances, the two walked to the fallen object with some confusion, and only then did they clearly see what was in front of them.

"Our Fierce Tiger Gang's pistol? Why is it here?"

"It seems to have fallen from the second floor. Old Three is guarding the second floor, could something have happened to him?"

After reaching this conclusion, the two quickly turned their heads, subconsciously wanting to look at the situation on the second floor through the window.

But when they turned their heads, what they saw first was not the tightly closed warehouse door, but the mischievous cat-girl looking at them with a smirk.

With a dull thud, before the two gang members could react, their heads violently collided, and they fell into peaceful slumber.

"Surprised, aren't you, meow? I used to be scared to death by those jump scares in horror games, but now it's finally this cat's turn to scare others!"

Cipher crossed her arms, happily declaring her victory, even her tail behind her was raised high and wagging slightly, proving how excited its owner was at that moment.

Unfortunately, the warehouse door was soundproof, so the people inside couldn't hear her voice, and even the only two spectators in front of her had temporarily fainted from her 'prank' being too terrifying.

Although Cipher was very excited now, she wouldn't forget the main task.

Turning around, she began to wave in Lauren's direction... Jasmine slowly lowered her binoculars, her face still showing lingering shock.

She had watched Cipher the entire time, from swinging down from the roof to the second floor, and then playing with the two people on the first floor.

Calming herself, Jasmine turned around and said to the two:

"You two go, Cipher has already taken down all three of them."

"Sister Cipher already handled it? That's too amazing! It hasn't even been half a minute!"

Lauren, who was about to wipe her pistol again, widened her eyes and exclaimed excitedly upon hearing Jasmine's report.

Seeing Jasmine nod again, Lauren stood up and quickly walked out of the alley.

As she walked, she turned back and said to Ethan behind her:

"Let's go, Ethan, Sister Cipher is so amazing, we can't fall behind!"

"Coming, Captain, wait for me!"

Ethan hurriedly put on his gauntlets, then followed Lauren, running out quickly.
