NOAH
Twenty minutes into my frantic revisions, my phone screen lit up again with a soft chime.
I glanced down, expecting another work update, but the name on the notification instantly made my tense shoulders drop.
Leo: How's the architecture world treating my favorite assistant today? Surviving the Monday blues?
A genuine, quiet smile touched my lips. I leaned back in my chair, typing out a quick reply.
Noah: Honestly? I am two minutes away from burning this entire building down to the ground.
Almost instantly, the three little typing dots appeared.
Leo: Oh wow, that bad? Let me guess… the boss is being a tyrant?
Noah: You have no idea. He just picked apart a thirty-page layout because of a two percent rounding difference.
Leo: Mmm, I have a feeling you might be exaggerating just a little bit. You seem way too sweet to hold a grudge.
I let out a soft huff of air, smiling at the screen.
Noah: I am not sweet. I am extremely dangerous and holding a red pen.
