Isao Tsumugi POV
I opened my eyes, feeling someone right above me, and saw my mother's face looking into mine.
"Wake up, sleepyhead, everyone else is awake, you're the only one left." She gave me a gentle smile. "I'll go make you breakfast."
"Yeah... Mom..." Slowly sitting up, I yawned and started stretching, enjoying the satisfying crack of my bones. Yesterday, right after my bath, I went straight to sleep, and it was pure bliss.
I was sleeping on the balcony, so besides the occasional sound of zombies shuffling back and forth, I didn't hear anything, and slept like a baby. Though... I think I heard gunshots. Something must have happened at the bridge.
Looking around, I noticed Kouta, who was sitting, holding one of yesterday's rifles—the one he called the Springfield M1A1, I think. I also noticed the increase in zombies outside; there were none yesterday, but today there are a lot more.
"Good morning, Isao-san!" He was cheerful. Of course, he's a weapon maniac, and I told him yesterday he could take any weapon after he said he knew how to use them, having trained with some uncle in America. He's certainly not an ordinary guy.
"Morning, Kouta. How did you sleep?" The question was purely polite, so as not to seem rude, and I didn't want to distract him, as he was peering at something through the scope.
"Good, Isao-san, though sleeping in one room with several people is not great, it's very stuffy." He quietly exhaled, expressing his disappointment.
"Yeah, I can imagine. Well..." Standing up, I stretched a bit, doing a light gymnastic warmup. "I'm off, breakfast is waiting."
"Ah... ah...!" Wait, why is he looking at me like that and pointing his finger at me?
I looked down. Oh... I was undressed, just in my boxers, but that wasn't the point. It was more that my body had gained more muscle and become a bit more muscular and athletic than before. I also seemed to have grown a bit taller...
"Whoa, what muscles I have." Kouta looked at me in shock, as if seeing some very stupid idiot, so I chuckled, bent down to pick up my clothes from the ground, and went inside, into the hallway. Walking straight, I heard the sound of kitchen plates and so on from downstairs. Nodding at that, I opened the shower room door and quickly got dressed in there.
Looking in the mirror, I noticed that I really had grown a few centimeters, which was... what the hell? Why do I need to be taller than 190 centimeters? I was already taller than most, but now I'm even taller, not to mention the muscles I gained overnight.
Yeah, things are interesting here, alright.
Quietly opening the door, I stepped out into the hallway, deciding to go downstairs.
Going down, I heard noise from the living room. It seemed the children were running and playing with each other, and hearing Rin's joyful voice made me smile.
The girl had lost her family, and Mom decided that she was now part of ours, so I will accept her as my younger sister too and take care of her.
I'll have to get her some toys later. The first few weeks are going to be tough until everything settles down and we solve the many problems that are definitely going to pop up at the Takagi mansion.
Yeah, when these zombies weren't around, my only problem was a damn deadline and going to school, which I barely tolerated... Damn it, does that mean I wasted a huge amount of time in school for nothing?!
Couldn't these undead things have appeared after my graduation! Fucking zombies! All my effort and patience went down the drain!
Sighing, I entered the kitchen, where Takashi, Hisashi, and Takuzou were sitting, talking to each other and eating, along with Mom, Marikawa-san, Hayashi-san, and Saeko, who were preparing tons of omelets.
"Good morning, everyone!" Everyone greeted me in unison, and I smiled and sat down at the table. "This is an important morning. We're finally going to reach the Takagi Mansion, and there we'll finally rest without any fuss or fear."
"Isao, Hisashi, and Takuzou found the Humvee in the garage this morning. Who will drive it and the car in the yard?" Takashi asked the question while Mom placed a plate of hot omelets with pan-fried sausages in front of me.
"Why do we need two cars and one bus? I'll drive the Humvee, and the bus will be driven by... that other car in the yard needs to be dumped out on the street; it's useless to us anyway."
"Language, young man!" Mom looked at me with feigned strictness.
"Ah, well, I just thought you wanted to take them all." Takashi looked at my mother with a dubious expression at her remark, as he knew that she knew I curse no worse than a shoemaker at the market.
"There's no point in it. Yesterday, I just didn't check what was in the garage, so yes, we'll only go in the Humvee and the Bus."
"But I wanted to drive the Humvee, Riki-chan!" Marikawa-san pouted, looking at me.
"Sorry, Marikawa-san, but I don't know how to drive a bus, so..." I waved my left hand, while holding a fork in my right, throwing a cut-up piece of omelet into my mouth and marveling at its taste. Mmm, every time I eat it, it's always delicious. I love Mom's cooking. It seems she wasn't the one who made dinner yesterday, as I probably didn't even notice the taste, which was ordinary, due to fatigue.
"Well, I'll let you drive the Humvee if you call me by my name, and not Marikawa-san! I'm not that old, I'm only 26! And it's not fair that I call you by your name, but you call me Marikawa-san this, Marikawa-san that!" Mom looked at her with narrowed eyes, but remained silent, continuing to cook omelets for the other people, and everyone else froze in awkward silence.
"Very well, Shizuka. From this moment on, I will only call you by your name." I looked her straight in the eyes, saying those words in a serious tone, and she froze like a statue, starting to blush.
"Pheh-heh, you're such a good boy!" She walked over and, leaning down a bit, ruffled my hair. Her large breasts also sagged due to gravity, and the guys in the room suddenly blushed, and even I found it a bit difficult to look away from them.
"Alright, Shizuka, let me eat breakfast a little." I slightly turned my head and continued eating my omelet, feeling her move away a bit, and then walk completely away from me.
Feeling glances on me, I turned my head towards where I felt them and saw the three guys looking at me with shining eyes. Yes, envy me! Mheh-heh-heh!
I looked away and looked at Shizuka who was helping Mom cook, but my gaze was a little lower, on her butt which looked simply incredibly tempting in those jeans. Damn, I could see the outline of her panties!
I watched her butt wiggle back and forth until I looked up, feeling a glance from... my mother.
Suddenly shrinking, I quickly finished the omelet in two bites and headed for the exit, immediately disappearing behind the wall into the hallway.
"Phew..." For some reason, Mom always gets angry when I look at older women, always!
She says they are all just snakes who attract young men, and that they are pedophiles since they are attracted to guys slightly younger than them instead of their peers.
But milfs are hot! Mature women are simply the juiciest; they'll fucking devour you, but you'll enjoy it!
Sighing, I was about to go outside, but I heard Kouta's shout calling me from the balcony and immediately ran back to the second floor. Reaching there, I saw Kouta shooting at something.
"What happened?" I wasn't shouting, but I spoke loud enough to be heard even over the sound of gunshots.
"Okay, there's a father and daughter two hundred meters away! They're running and can't find cover from the zombies!" He didn't point, but looking where the muzzle was aimed, I saw them. The father and daughter heard the shots and ran towards us.
But the man was slowing down because of the bag on his back, and he was also carrying his daughter in his arms, so I sighed, jumped off the second floor, and ran!
In a few seconds, I managed to land, sprint to the fence, and jump over it.
Then I ran towards my targets, the father and daughter, who were now surrounded, and even Kouta's shots weren't helping, as there were too many zombies.
Where the hell did they even come from?!
I ran with all my might and on the way, I switched the slot that had Soul Reading to Wind Edge. In a second, I created a wire out of iron and covered it with wind.
Feeling the incredible sharpness of that wire, I started mowing down the zombies with it, simultaneously lengthening or shortening it as needed, and in just a few seconds, I was already at the two people.
The daughter clung to her father in fear while he hugged her and looked at me with hope. A dog that I hadn't noticed earlier was barking beside them.
"Are you all right? Were you bitten?" I ran up to them and immediately asked a few questions. They shouldn't have even been touched, as I had killed the zombies around them. The only ones still alive were those behind them, because if I had swung the wire in their direction, I would have cut them down too, which I didn't want to do—I was saving them!
"N-no, we're fine, thank you!" The man trembled, looking at me and the wire I was holding with disbelief, while he squeezed his daughter in his arms.
"Then follow me." The rest was easier. With the wire, we slowly reached the house fence, and Kouta, who had already come down from the balcony, opened it for us.
"You... you're just incredible, Isao-san." He looked at me with shining eyes.
God, man, didn't you realize that yesterday?

[Bronze Ticket]
"Takashi!" I waved off the screen and called Takashi, who was standing by the bus, also looking our way. Most people were outside, it seems, sensing that we would be leaving soon. "Bring these two some food, and then warn everyone that we'll be leaving in ten minutes." Having said that, I went back outside.
Why? Because we needed to open the gate and remove the car that was in the courtyard. It was standing right behind the bus, which was already in front of the garage gates and wouldn't allow the Humvee to drive out.
Looking around and seeing all the zombies, I started shortening the wire again, which had previously shortened and turned into a sphere, compressing its entire length.
And with a few swings, covering them with wind, I killed all the zombies, clearing the street of their presence.
Then I went back inside and nodded to the guys to open the gate, walking towards the car.
Sitting inside, I remembered the futons. I absolutely must take them; we can't do without them, so I rolled down the driver's side window.
"Guys! Load all the futons onto the bus, we'll need them later!" Several guys immediately nodded, including Kurokami, Oegi, Yamada, and Hisashi, and went inside the house.
And from the exit, I saw Kouta, who was standing by the fence door.
"Kouta! Take all the weapons and ammunition, throw them in the Humvee's trunk, and also, half of the guys should get on the Bus, and the other half in the Humvee, but not in the driver's seat. I'll sit there." I said this with all seriousness, and he straightened up and saluted.
"It will be done, Sir!"
Yes, today is a good day, a very good day.
I drove the car out so that the other vehicles could exit the yard without problems, turned off the engine, and got out, slamming the door.
The keys were left inside, so I went to the Garage. Entering, I started looking for the switch or remote that should raise the gates. It turned out the gates open via a remote which was on the table. Using it, I opened the gates, and they went up.
Then, with a smile, I got into the Humvee and, with pleasure, listening to its roar, started it up and sat inside with enjoyment, watching the work boiling in the yard.
The guys were loading yesterday's boxes, the collected futons, and most of the women with children began climbing into the bus, looking inside the garage at the Humvee where I was sitting.
"Come on, guys! Faster!" I saw Takashi urging everyone to gather faster, while Kouta sweated profusely, carrying boxes of ammunition the whole time.
Many got into the bus, except for Saya, who came to me saying she would sit with me, and K-imoto with Mom. I gave the last seat in the Humvee to Saeko, who was standing firmly on her feet and holding her sword.
After a few minutes, everyone was loaded into the vehicles, and as Shizuka walked towards the bus, I shouted to her to drive out and let me go first, and she should stay behind.
Saya next to me will tell us where to go, and I will clear the roads for us with the metal things I'll create along the way.
I quietly watched Marikawa carefully drive out of the yard, clearing the way for me, and put my foot on the gas myself, preparing for the trip.
"So, are you ready?"
"Yes!" "Yes, son." "Yes, Isao-kun."
Everyone answered me in unison, and I hit the gas, having shifted gears beforehand.
We'll go over the bridge. There probably won't be many zombies there, and I'll just remove yesterday's barricades with metal shields.
The car roared, the bus followed me, and houses and streets changed on the sides.
And we drove for more than ten minutes toward the bridge. For some reason, the streets were cleaner the closer we got to the bridge, and this is likely because all the zombies gathered at the bridge and then went somewhere else. Well, I hoped there was no one on the bridge.
And my hope was not in vain; there really was no one on the bridge, so we easily drove across. Even the barricades had been moved by someone.
"Okay, turn right from here!" Everyone knew where the Takagi mansion was, but I didn't know the exact location, so Saya was telling me where to turn, and a few minutes later we found ourselves in the suburbs.
There, we drove into some district and... for some reason, the zombies here were more numerous. Oh, I get why!
Driving forward down the street, my sharp eyes noticed some wire, and when it was fifty meters away, I flashed the taillights, starting to slow down and stopping completely right in front of the wire.
Grasping my sphere, I got out of the car and formed scissors from the sphere, using them to cut the wire.
The bus stopped, and its doors began to open, but I waved my hand, indicating they shouldn't do that, and they closed again, and all the guys who had stood up sat back down in their seats.
The wire was being cut with clicking sounds, and creating another wire from iron with my left hand, I began to use it to kill the undead while carefully cutting the wire that was used to block the road.
After a few seconds, I finished the job, got back into the driver's seat without closing the door, and drove forward so that the line of wire was behind the bus.
"What? Why don't we drive further? Why did you stop?" Saya asked, in a tone of confusion.
"Since this wire was set up, it's necessary, and I need to fix it again." I got out of the car again and headed back on foot.
Walking calmly, I noticed that some of the undead had already managed to cross the wire line, and sighing, I formed a thin wire from the iron that had turned into spheres, and using Wind Edge on them, I began to kill all the zombies with swings.
When the job was done, I nodded and quickly created an iron wire and set it up again. Quietly sighing and turning around, I realized that somehow I had been surrounded by some ghouls in firefighter suits, and damn it, no one even shouted at me. What the hell... ah, they managed to take my mother hostage, the bastards.
"Get down on the ground, now!" They were pointing hoses at me, and I noticed tanks behind their backs, likely filled with water.
"Guys, who are you?"
"Don't ask questions, get down on the ground! Right now!" The voice shouting at me belonged to some guy.
"You know that since I control metal, I'm definitely not an ordinary person, right?" Damn, this is just fucked up. I would have killed them all if I didn't know whose people they were.
"If you're even human...!"
"Stand down!" A woman stepped forward, and they all immediately stood straight, taking their hoses off me. How do I know it was a woman? Because she took off her firefighter helmet and was walking hand in hand with Saya. "I apologize for that, Isao-kun, but you really are an interesting specimen." There was something in her eyes, but damn, how hot she was. I was glad that in ten or twenty years, Saya would turn into a milf just like her.
"It's nothing..." I walked over, offering my hand, which she shook, smiling.
"We'll have a lot to discuss, not to mention my gratitude for saving my daughter's life." She smiled at me, and I realized one thing.
I felt that Souichiro would try to take me under his control.
