Kami stands at the the edge of the outlook, a look of pure fear in his eyes as stacks of smoke rise in the distance from dozens of towns.
"How bad is it Kami?"
Tien looks exasperated, understandably so as he is watching his species be destroyed by the Demon King Piccolo.
Warriors gather round, some familiar some not so much.
An old man with a turtle on his back, 2 teenagers stand with him both in orange Gi's one is remarkably small and.. Bald.
Beside them stands Tien, Hanzo Pai relative of the famous Mercenary Assassin- Ryo, a bustling young warrior, weakest among them but instilled with the vigor of a madman.
"Its, bad." Kami turns, shambling against his staff "The dragon balls not be discovered by Piccolo, if he finds them it is the end of Earth as we know it, all of you gathered here are enough to stop him! It will be a hard fought battle but I trust in your abilities and you-" He points at Hanzo Pai "You did something very incredible, you should be dead" The others look at the old man puzzled. "But now is not the time for such things. Piccolo will come to where he senses the strongest being. Now my friends raise your Ki and bring him. The battle begins!"
Kami raises his arms, Mr. Popo shuffles back nervously as the gathered heroes of earth grit their teeth and unleash all the power they have.
Goku's power overshadows them all despite being a young teenager. His Ki spreads out violently- his hair raising up. Old Man Roshi steps back and simply observes, he is already at the limits of his body for his age, a battle would do him in before it began.
From ruins of humanity.
Piccolo stands over a ruined city, his entire body is soaked red with blood, his green skin only slightly peaking through at his chest. It seems his enemies have decided to show themselves at last, a massive surge of Ki 100s of miles away, he already knows the location, its a place he is all too familiar with, where his 'good' half lies.
The Demon King floats up into the air and takes off towards the lookout, flying at unbelievable speeds, the power at the lookout topples his own- but this only seeks to tug at his excitement and thirst for a bloody battle. He knows there are at least 3 dragon balls currently at the lookout so the prospect of reaping his foes and taking the dragon balls is all too incredible.
A deadly prospect
Piccolo floats towards the lookout. Kami grimaces at him.
"Piccolo, turn back and stop this madness!"
Piccolo cackles
"Madness? Its only begun you weakling. The planet belongs to the strongest!"
He surges forward, attempting to Impale Kami, Kami is whisked away by Goku, Piccolos claws narrowly pass by.
"Tsk, bastard wont be lucky next time."
The Demon King lands in the middle of the lookout, a circle of enemies around him yet no drop of fear in his body.
"All right then who is first?"
Ryo gulps, he is barely able to stand Infront of this monster, the oppressive aura pushing the breath from his lungs.
"Hmm no one?"
Tien steps forward.
"You don't scare me! Come on!"
He raises his fists and spreads his legs, a signature crane style. Piccolo seems amused but this opponent is weak.
"Prepare your death rites human."
Piccolo charges purple ki into his hands and starts firing away, the apocalyptic energy missiles sail at Tien who dodges them narrowly. The onslaught doesn't stop- Tien is out of breath already, his skin singed and burned.
"Your too weak, someone else fight me."
Piccolo stops suddenly. Tien looks at him wide eyed.
"YOU- YOU DONT DECIDE THAT!"
Tien surges forward with rage, Piccolo raises his leg and lands an impactful kick against the side of Tien's head, he slumps to the floor next to piccolo, finished already.
"Next!"
Piccolo smiles widely, his fangs glinting as he peers at the remaining fighters. Goku stares at the others for a moment then looks at master Roshi.
"Ill finish you- you bastard!"
Ryo charges forward, enraged that his friend was defeated so easily, white ki flares around him, his eyes turned a greyish pale.
"Weakling!"
Piccolo snarks as Ryo punches him over and over, not even creating an impact in his clothing. Piccolo yawns with some exaggeration.
"Nice try kid."
Piccolo raises his fist back and slams it forward, like hot butter it goes through Ryo's chest.
Ryo looks up and smiles. Blood spurts from his mouth violently.
"Well guys I tried."
Piccolo draws his hand back and flicks the blood off. Ryo falls backwards onto the white tile of the lookout. Blood pools around him
"NO!"
Goku yells, Ki flaring up around him. Hanzo winces painfully- seeing a young man killed in an instant, despite no real relationship between them it is still an unfortunate sight.
Piccolo looks up from the corpse. "Weakling should have stayed home." He raises his hand and forms a ki blast and promptly incinerates Ryo's body.
"No! No.. NO!"
Goku surges forward, violent ki rips around him, for the first time Piccolo raises his arms to serious combat as the enraged teenager sends a flurry of blows at him. Hanzo dashes behind and sends a long laser beam of ki from his fingers which pierces Piccolos left shoulder, not even a flinch of pain from the Demon King as Goku presses his advance.
"Tsk. Weaklings banding together!"
Piccolo flares his ki, pushing both of his attackers back.
"No more playing."
Purple ki swirls like serpent mist around Piccolo. Kami gulps, already 2 are out of the fight, one killed and brutalized.
"GOKU! Defeat Piccolo! We can use the dragon balls to Resurrect Ryo!"
Krillin cheers his friend on. Partly because he knows if Piccolo defeats him there will be no one strong enough left to fight him.
Hanzo pants, his age is showing despite drinking divine water.
"Goku. If we all fall you must retreat, go to Korin and ask for some water. It may be our last resort." Hanzo wipes his mouth, as Goku looks at him confusedly about the comment.
"GUAHHAHA! A water break will save your species? My how comical."
Piccolo advances and claws at Goku who narrowly dodges.
Tien gasps awake, smacking his jaw against the tiles and relocating it.
His eyes dart to the battle and then to the pool of blood a few feet away. Ryo's hand sitting in the middle of it with tattered rags floating from it.
"No. Ryo.."
He grips his fists and buries his head into the ground. He heard Hanzo mention something about going to Korin as a last resort. And its not looking great for Goku and Hanzo.
He has a chance!
Tien jumps off the edge of the lookout and flies down to Korin tower as fast as possible. Goku and Hanzo assume he is retreating to lick his wounds or is in too much grief to battle but its the opposite in reality.
Korin sits silently listening to the battle, he is shocked from his chair suddenly as a bloodied Tien floats down next to him.
"The water Korin."
Korin looks at him. "How do you know about that." Korin jumps from his seat, a small comically large cat-man thing guards a sacred relic of warriors old and dead.
"Is it that bad?" Korin questions.
"Yes. The water, Korin quickly!"
Korin waddles over to what looks like a burial urn and dusts it off.
"Drink it, only a sip. You will die. But Piccolo will kill us anyways."
Tien grips the urn into one hand and gulps nervously before bringing it to his lips.
"HAA! GYAHHHHH!"
Tien's eyes bleed suddenly and Ki flares around him wildly
"Tien NO! Don't drink all of it!" Korin hops and screams with exasperation.
Afterlife
Ryo shakes his head as a blinding white light sears into him. He wipes his eyes and looks around. In front of him is a massive gate. Behind him a ginormous and long bridge shaped like a snake, with scaley tiles and ribbed guard rails.
"Next!"
The gates flip open, at this point Ryo knows he is dead.
Ryo stands and looks up at the halo above his head and grimaces. He was defeated so easily, shamefully so.
He walks forward into the gates, inside is a quaint office. A ginormous demonic man with glasses and a funky beard sits behind a desk. A small blue man-humanoid creature guy blabs to him.
"Ryo. Hmm. Died fighting a great evil. Heaven!"
He goes to bang his gavel down but stops as the blue man cracks a joke causing him to guffaw and lean back.
"Well anyway King Yama I got to get back and work on my car! Bubbles poked a hole through the dash."
The blue man turns and looks at Ryo without batting an eye before stopping a moment.
"Earthling huh? Youve got pretty good power to be from there. Say my car is from earth do you know how to work on them?"
Ryo looks at him. He doesn't know what to say. He was about to get sent to heaven now a blue alien with bug eyes and a martial arts gi is asking him to plug the hole in his car.
"Um. Yeah I can work on cars." Ryo had worked on an electric scooter once.
"Well that's good! I'm King Kai by the way! Just follow me I know how to skip snake way!"
Ryo follows silently.
King Yama waves
"King Kai make sure to bring him back so I can send him over!"
He was never coming back.
