Alpha — the beginning of all creation.
Its counterpart? Omega — the end of everything.
In the miniature cosmos of the Box Garden, Alpha and Omega are counted among the Four Great Primordial Truths of the Universe.
"'Origin of All Things'… no wonder you have every elemental affinity." Merlin's calm façade finally cracked, eyes wide as she stared at Alex in disbelief.
Hestia, standing beside her, gave him a strange look as well. "Honestly, you scared me at first too, Alex. Are you sure you're just a normal human?"
Hearing that, Alex froze. Something didn't add up."Wait a second… are you saying the all-elemental attribute wasn't something you created?"
"I made your magic circuits," Hestia said, shaking her head. "But that attribute—it's yours."
Alex fell silent.
He wasn't someone who'd transmigrated as a soul — his whole body had crossed over. When he arrived in the Type-Moon world, his physical body had reverted to his sixteen-year-old self.
In his previous life, he'd been just a regular guy. There was no way he should've had such overpowered attributes.
There was only one explanation: a transmigrator's bonus.
His body must've been rebuilt during the crossing — younger, stronger, and blessed with the All-Attribute trait.
"Master," Merlin murmured, her tone full of awe. "I can't even begin to imagine how far you'll go."
"Let's skip the flattery," Hestia said with a clap of her hands. "Time to start the fusion."
Alex nodded. What followed was less of a three-way collaboration and more of Merlin and Hestia talking in rapid-fire divine and arcane jargon while occasionally asking about his specs like he was some kind of test subject.
They adjusted the core of the magic system — reinforcement, projection, and bounded field magic — to make them fully compatible.
Then they began adding other spells to fit the framework of Unlimited Blade Works, including one that could shatter weapons outright: Phantasm Collapse.
When all the components finally meshed together, what they had resembled a magical circuit board — an intricate weave of compatible spells.
The next step was refinement: merging everything into one seamless magic—essentially turning that circuit board into a processor chip.
It was a monumental task, one even Merlin couldn't complete alone.
Luckily, Hestia wasn't just any helper — she was an all-knowing goddess who'd once touched the Root of this world itself.
With her divine power, the final transformation was completed.
And just like that, a new magic was born—Unlimited Blade Works.
Hestia handed the completed spell to Alex, her eyes shining. "Go on—try it!"
Alex nodded, took a breath, and extended his hand. His voice was calm, solemn, and resolute.
"I am the bone of my sword.Steel is my body, and fire is my blood.I have fought through countless battlefields—Never knowing victory, nor regret.Alone I stand upon the hill of blades. My only wish: perfection through the sword. My life shall be… Unlimited Blade Works!"
As he spoke, Hestia's eyes sparkled with literal stars. Alex is so cool…!
The moment his chant ended, Alex's inner world began to manifest, swallowing the real one.
The ground cracked open. Lava surged up from the depths. Magic erupted, filling the entire abandoned factory with blinding energy.
In the blink of an eye, Alex, Hestia, and Merlin found themselves transported to another world.
A dark sky loomed overhead, lit by clouds of burning crimson. Giant gears turned slowly within the clouds.
On the scorched, rust-colored earth stood countless weapons—swords, spears, halberds—all ones Alex had seen before.
Flames roared across the horizon, and howling winds swept through the wasteland. The place felt like a vast, living forge.
This was his Reality Marble—the world of blades.
"How magnificent," Merlin whispered, awe softening her tone.
She casually drew one of the swords—but frowned.
"What's wrong?" Alex asked.
"These weapons," Merlin said, giving the blade a light swing, "they're form without substance. They can't actually harm anyone."
"Oh, that," Alex said with a grin. "These are just projections of weapons I've seen. I don't know their properties yet. To make them real, I'll need to analyze and reproduce each one from scratch."
Before his transmigration, he'd been a normal person—not some smith or mage who understood weapon structure. Of course he couldn't replicate them perfectly.
"I see," Merlin nodded, dropping the matter.
Hestia, however, suddenly snapped her fingers. "Wait, I just thought of something! My friend Hephaestus—the god of the forge! She's crafted more weapons than anyone alive. Once you come to my world, I'll have her teach you smithing!"
"Seriously? That's awesome!" Alex's face lit up. What kind of divine jackpot did I hit?
"Of course it's serious!" Hestia said with a giggle. "I'm really starting to look forward to seeing how far you'll go."
As she spoke, she opened the chat group to share the news.
[Chat Group]
Hestia: Great news, everyone! Alex successfully fused his magic and created a brand-new spell—Unlimited Blade Works!
Misaka Mikoto: No way! That fast?! His growth rate is insane!
Erza: I get the feeling it was you who did most of the work, Hestia.
Tsunade: Yeah, same here.
Hestia: Details, details. He's my follower—helping my own people is totally fair, right?
Miko Yotsuya: Uh, Goddess-sama, I'm also one of your followers!
Busujima Saeko: So… favoritism, huh?
Hestia: Don't worry, don't worry! Once the Holy Grail War's over, I'll bring you all to my world too!
Miko Yotsuya: But don't you have to seal your divine power there? How are you gonna help us get stronger?
Hestia: Umm… you can… go dungeon crawling?
Busujima Saeko: …So we're on our own, got it.
Misaka Mikoto: Still, Alex's luck is unreal.
Roxy: Seriously. Two of the strongest people in the group are spoiling him rotten.
Erza: Enough talking. Start a stream—I wanna see this new magic myself!
Seeing that, Hestia immediately started a live broadcast. "Alex! Cast Unlimited Blade Works again!"
Alex smiled. He'd seen the messages too. Since everyone wanted a show… why not give them one?
Once more, he began his chant.
The same heroic words, the same earth-shaking spectacle—an epic symphony of magic and steel that left every girl in the chat absolutely hyped.
Miko Yotsuya: Holy crap, that's amazing!
Busujima Saeko: Jealousy is consuming me!
Misaka Mikoto: I kinda wanna learn magic now…
Tsunade: That's beyond S-rank jutsu.
Luo Hao: Impressive.
Erza: That spell suits me perfectly. @Alex — wanna trade?
Alex: Trade? How?
Erza: My world's full of magic too. Tell me what kind you want—I'll get it for you. All I ask is that you teach me Unlimited Blade Works. Deal?
