Chapter 25 - Demons

The group stood ready, their eyes fixed on the horizon as the first light of dawn crept over the hills. The air was tense, the villagers cowering behind them, praying for their safety. Eris cracked her knuckles, a fierce glint in her eye.

"Alright, let's do this," she said, her voice steady. "Eris, you're with me. Haphaestus, can you...?"Ares said.

Haphaestus nodded, his hands weaving intricate patterns in the air. Flames erupted from his fingertips, dancing across the ground as he prepared a barrier.

Isabelle drew her bow, her eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of movement. Crimson stood beside her, his eyes glowing with a fierce inner light.

The demons emerged from the shadows, their eyes burning with an otherworldly fire. They were tall and imposing, their bodies twisted and deformed. Eris sneered, her sword flashing in the morning light.

"Let's send these freaks back to whatever hellhole they came from," she said, charging forward.

The demons charged, their screams echoing through the village. The group stood firm, ready to face the horde. Ares's sword sliced through the demons with deadly precision, while Haphaestus's flames scorched them, sending them stumbling back. Isabelle's arrows flew true, striking the demons with deathly accuracy. Crimson's powers surged, his fists glowing with a fierce energy as he punched through the demon's defenses.

Eris danced through the demons, her sword flashing in the sunlight. She was a whirlwind of steel and fury, her movements fluid and deadly. The demons fell before her, their bodies torn and battered.

But there were too many of them. The group fought bravely, but they were outnumbered. The demons seemed to be endless, pouring out of the shadows like a dark tide.

Just when it seemed like the group was getting overwhelmed, Haphaestus unleashed a powerful blast of flame, clearing a path through the demons. Ares and Eris took advantage of the opening, charging forward with renewed ferocity. Isabelle's arrows flew faster, striking with precision. Crimson's powers surged, his fists glowing with an intense energy.

The battle raged on, the group fighting for their lives against the demonic horde. But they were determined to emerge victorious. They would not back down.

As the fight continued, the group began to gain ground. The demons were powerful, but the group was well-trained and well-coordinated. They worked together seamlessly, their movements a testament to their bond and training.

Eris and Ares fought back-to-back, their swords slicing through the demons with deadly precision. Haphaestus's flames danced across the battlefield, incinerating the demons and creating a wall of fire between the group and their enemies. Isabelle's arrows flew true, striking with deadly accuracy. Crimson's powers surged, his fists glowing with an intense energy as he punched through the demon's defenses.

The demons were getting desperate, their attacks becoming more frantic and wild. But the group stood firm, their determination and teamwork driving them forward.

As the sun climbed higher in the sky, the group fought on, their movements becoming more fluid and precise. They were all working together to take down the demons.

And then, in a flash of insight, Eris saw their chance. She spotted the demon leader, a towering figure with eyes that burned with an otherworldly fire. She pointed him out to Ares, and together they charged forward, determined to take down the leader and end the battle.

The final battle was intense, the group fighting with every ounce of strength they had. But in the end, it was Eris who struck the final blow, her sword slicing through the demon leader's defenses and ending the battle.

The group stood victorious, their chests heaving with exhaustion. They had saved the village, and proved their strength and determination. But as they looked out over the battlefield, they knew that this was far from over. The demons would return, and they had to get the remaining people out of the village.

"Haphaestus, gather the people of the village tell them to take whatever they need, they'll have to leave the village for now"Ares told Haphaestus and he nodded and went straight to work.
