Chapter 47 - Clearing Out

With the portals closed, the demons were cut off from their reinforcements and quickly became disorganized and leaderless. The combined forces of the gods, dragons, fae, and humans took advantage of the situation, pressing their attack and swiftly mopping up the remaining demonic forces.

As the battle drew to a close, the gods and dragons worked together to clean up the last pockets of resistance. The fae warriors, with their agility and quick reflexes, hunted down any demons trying to flee. The humans, emboldened by their allies' strength, fought bravely alongside them.

In the end, it was a crushing victory for the coalition. The demons lay defeated, their dark forces vanquished from the world. The survivors stood victorious, weary but triumphant, as they surveyed the aftermath of the battle.

But amidst the celebration, Eryx's eyes scanned the horizon, his gaze piercing the distance. He knew that the war may have been won, but the peace was far from secure. The demons may have been defeated, but the darkness that had spawned them still lingered, waiting for its next opportunity to strike.

As the fae kingdom was finally free from the demonic threat, the fae warriors, led by their fiercest fighters, set out to aid their allies in the other kingdoms. The light fae, with their wings aglow, soared through the skies, scouting out remaining demon pockets and providing air support to their allies.

The dark fae, with their mastery of darkness, closed every portals they came across. Together, the fae warriors fought bravely alongside the humans, gods, and dragons, their combined forces turning the tide of the battle in favor of the defenders.

As they marched towards the next kingdom in need of aid, Eryx, with his powerful strides, walked alongside Lyra, his eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of danger. Azeriel, watched with wide eyes, eager to see more of the battle. Ares and Eris, ever the fierce warriors, led the charge, their divine powers paving the way for their allies.

The ground shook beneath their feet as they approached the besieged kingdom. The sound of clashing steel and the scent of smoke filled the air. The final battle was far from over, but with the combined might of their forces, victory seemed within reach.

Crimson, his face etched with worry, hastened to Ares' side, his voice urgent as he relayed the dire news. "Ares, we have a situation in the Sapphire Kingdom. The portals have opened, and demons are pouring in. I fear we may be overwhelmed."

Ares' expression turned grim, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the situation. "I'll need reinforcements," he said, his voice carrying across the battlefield. "Hephaestus, gather a contingent of gods and follow me. We'll need all the firepower we can get."

Hephaestus nodded, his eyes gleaming with anticipation as he began to rally the other gods. A small army of deities, fae, and dragons assembled behind Ares, ready to march towards the Sapphire Kingdom.

As they set off, Eryx, Lyra, and Azeriel joined the group, their determination to vanquish the demonic threat evident in their strides. Eris, ever the opportunist, tagged along, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

The group moved swiftly, their divine and supernatural abilities allowing them to traverse the distance quickly. As they approached the Sapphire Kingdom, the air grew thick with the stench of brimstone and smoke. The battle ahead would be fierce, but with their combined strength, they might just stand a chance against the demonic horde.

As they arrived at the Sapphire Kingdom, Crimson hastened to his father's side, King Ryker, who was fighting valiantly alongside his guards. The king's sword sliced through the demons with deadly precision, his movements swift and calculated.

Crimson joined the fray, his own sword flashing in the dim light as he fought to clear a path to his father's side. When he finally reached King Ryker, he could see the weariness etched on the older man's face.

"Father, I've brought reinforcements," Crimson said, nodding towards Ares and the other gods. Crimson has accepted the fact that the man before him is not his father but his ready to accept him as a father "We'll get this under control."

King Ryker's gaze flicked to the gods, and a hint of relief crossed his face. "Good timing, son. We need all the help we can get. These demons seem endless."

Ares stepped forward, his presence commanding attention. "We'll take care of this, king Ryker. You and your men can focus on securing the kingdom."

With a nod, King Ryker rallied his guards, and together they pushed forward, determined to reclaim their kingdom from the demonic invasion. The gods, fae, and dragons plunged into the heart of the battle, their powers unleashing a maelstrom of destruction upon the demons.

Crimson's eyes blazed with fury as he summoned the power of his divine heritage. With a swift gesture, he unleashed a stream of flames that shot forth like a blazing inferno, engulfing the demons in its path.

The demons screamed as they were consumed by the intense heat, their bodies incinerated in an instant. The flames danced across the battlefield, a wall of fire that the demons couldn't breach.

Ares watched with approval as Crimson's flames cleared a path through the demonic horde. "You're a formidable fighter, Crimson," he said, his voice raised above the din of battle. "It's a good thing we're related ."

Crimson's smile was fierce as he charged forward, his flames blazing a trail of destruction through the demonic hordes.

With the Sapphire Kingdom secured, the coalition of gods, fae, and dragons regrouped, their sights set on the next kingdom in need of aid. Ares turned to Crimson, his expression serious. "We'll need to move swiftly. The demons may have been defeated here, but other kingdoms may still be under attack."

Crimson nodded, his phoenix fires still burning bright. "Let's go. We'll do whatever it takes to stop these demons and bring peace back to the world."

The group set off once more, their journey taking them to the next kingdom in peril. As they traveled, they shared information and strategies, their bond growing stronger with each battle.

With their combined strength and strategic planning, the coalition of gods, fae, and dragons scoured the Sapphire Kingdom, rooting out the last pockets of demonic resistance. Crimson's phoenix fires illuminated the darkest corners, while Ares and the other gods unleashed their divine powers to smite the enemy.

The fae warriors, with their agility and stealth, infiltrated the shadows, taking out demons from behind. The dragons, with their mighty roars and fiery breath, blazed a trail of destruction through the demonic ranks.

As they swept through the kingdom, the coalition cleared out every last demon, purging the realm of their evil presence. The Sapphire Kingdom's inhabitants, freed from the demonic occupation, emerged from their hiding places, blinking in the bright sunlight.

King Ryker, Crimson's father, stood tall, his eyes shining with pride. "The kingdom is secure, thanks to the bravery of our allies. We will never forget your sacrifice."

Ares nodded, his expression serious. "The war is far from over. We must continue to work together to defeat our enemies and bring peace to the realm."
