Music Recommendation "You really got me by the kinks."
~Two days later in Serena's grandparent's house~
Serena saw two luxurious looking cars parked in front of her house from her room window, that morning she had woken up to the text message from Mr.Won informing her that they would be coming to her home today. Serena already told her grandparents about him and that she had already said yes to his proposal to marry her.
She told them about how they met but of course she did not tell them that she first met him in a bar, she knows for sure that her grandparents would freak out if she ever told them that she met him in a bar.
Serena rushed downstairs to welcome them.
"You are here early." She said excitedly as she walked them into the sitting room where her grandparents were expecting them.
Eiravyn gave her a warm and sweet smile that reached his eyes. "Better to get it done early as this, so there will not be any hindrance in my way."
When they got inside Serena's living room, Eiravyn greeted her grandparents with absolute respect surprising Serena, She never thought that the stone hearted man could be this sweet but she was still relieved in many ways as she had been so scared of what her grandparents will think of him.
"I'm a vampire and the king of the vampire kingdom, Serena is my mate."
By the time Eiravyn entered her home, he was led to the sitting room, he came with Caspian. And they both sat facing her grandparents. Then he,with his cold and deep voice had said so to her grandparents in a most calm tone like he was discussing about the weather.
Serena had this doubt about him from the dream she had the last few days that he was not an ordinary human, but for him to be a vampire, she was stunned. She had still not realize that he used the word [Mate] to address her but Serena turned to look at him,his gaze was fixed at her grandparents not for once shifting to meet her eyes. Actually Serena always had a thing for supernatural stories and fictional tales, so she was not scared but she was scared to know her what her grandparents would think.
So, she turned to look at her grandparents, she had vaquely expected them to jump out of their seat and screamed bloody God but she was more surprised to find them still on their chair.
Her grandmother especially looked so calm.
Eiravyn continued speaking, "I see that Serena thinks very highly of you and would want your approval on the marriage, which is why I am here to ask for her hand in marriage in the human style." Eiravyn's deep, masculine voice sent shivers down her spine, and before she could react.
She heard him say, "you don't have to worry about her as she would be my responsibility from now on and would be treated with nothing but respect in my kingdom." This time his voice seemed to drop to a low octave and seemed very respectful, Serena was surprised as he sounded desperate just now.
Serena turned again to look at her grandparents, they have been very silent throughout the whole talk, she wanted to get into their head and find out what they were thinking, when she suddenly heard her grandmother's voice.
"I know this all along, I was already told." Her grandmother said in a low voice as she took in a long breath and seemed to be in deep thoughts.
About 21years ago, Serena birth mother had went to celebrate her friend's birthday when she was two month pregnant with Serena, she had accompanied her friend to a temple after the birthday ceremony. Her friend wanted to show her daughter's birth certificate to a seer in the temple, so when they were coming back the seer had called Serena's mother and told her that the child she was carrying was not an ordinary child, that when she get to 20years her life would turn around either for good or for bad that when that time comes they should not stop her because she would be fulfilling her destiny, the seer had placed her hand on Serena's mother baby bump and prayed for her and her baby.
When Serena's mother got back home she had told her mother [Serena's grandmother] everything that the seer had told her, but when Serena turned 20years old and nothing happened they had been relieved since they did not believe in all those things but it seemed destiny cannot be denied but will only be delayed. Her grandmother thought, as she looked at the handsome stranger that would soon be their son in-law, there was nothing they could do because they had already warned them that there will be great repercussions if they failed to let her go.
"Good!" Eiravyn said as he reclined his arms on the sofa, he looked at them calmly, "because it would be a shame if you had refuse me my mate." He said with a smirk evident on his face warning them of the dangers that would befall them if they had denied him.
Eiravyn looked at her grandparents to address them properly,
"when she becomes my queen, I can't say for a fact that you will get to see her always but you are always welcome to visit her, if you are comfortable staying in the kingdom of vampires." Eiravyn stated dryly, his expression plain and flat.
On the other hand, Serena was deep in her thought, if I was indeed his mate like he claimed why did he treat me like that in the beginning. She wondered confusely as the word mate finally registered itself in her head.
He had been so rude and unkind to her since the beginning, she knows how the mate pull is since she was a big fan of fantasy novel. So, she knew how strong a mate pull was. Was that why I felt that way for him that day, She was deep in her thought when she heard Eiravyn's deep and husky voice.
"The wedding will be held in my kingdom and from then she will stay with me forever. You guys are more than welcome to come for the wedding." Eiravyn instructed them, after that he turned and took his leave, leaving her grandparents utterly shocked and utterly sad.
"Mr. Won!" Serena called to him before he could enter his car.
"Mr. won we barely spoke to each other since the last time we talked, I was hoping that we could talk comfortably today."
Eiravyn turned to look at his mate, he had been avoiding her gaze since he revealed to her that he was a vampire because he did not want to see the look of disgust that will be on her face as he thought that the girl will be too scared to even look at him but instead she looked up at him with a different kind of admiration glittering in her eyes. Eiravyn closed his eyes to gather his thoughts.
Just who was she, Eiravyn thought as his eyes turned wide from the unexpected events, he had deliberately said the news in a straightforward way to show her what she was getting herself into and instead of her to get scared, she was still… this little kitten was truly unbelievable, Eiravyn thought, shaking his head.
"Don't worry little kitten we have all the time in the world to get to know each other, when you finally come with me to my kingdom." With that said Eiravyn entered his car along with Caspian as they wound their way back to their presidential suite.
