She felt him sit beside her. The place was so quiet and Eiravyn was so quiet that you would be able to hear a pin drop.
She waited for him to talk — maybe an explanation or anything.
But he did not speak, nor did he move from where he was seated.
Serena could not take it anymore; the anger she thought had subsided came back with a force of its own because of his silence, and with that force Serena stood up, her back turned to him.
"I want to go back home." Serena said in a solid and firm voice.
"That's not a problem, Kitten. We can go to your room." Eiravyn said.
But Serena shook her head. Without looking at him, she said. "I want to go back to the human realm, to the people who value and respect me and never lied to me."
A cool tingling swept over her skin, almost as though countless feathers were stroking her body.
Her long red hair clung to the sides of her face as the icy breeze sent shivers down her spine.
