After the chaos at Thunder Valley, St. Chaim Reform Academy and I dropped every pretense—we were enemies now, plain and simple.
Andy and his crew had left behind solid evidence, and Todd had laid the groundwork perfectly. We could make our moves without fear of consequences.
The academy had everything to lose, though. They had to stay quiet, couldn't risk bold actions. Naturally, Todd and I held all the cards.
While I was busy dismantling St. Chaim Reform Academy piece by piece, news came from the hospital. Webster would never walk again—his legs were finished.
He lay there broken, hollowed out, showing life only when he screamed my name.
Racing had been Webster's entire world. With his legs and hands destroyed, he had nothing left to live for.
