Sallie's POV
After the Skybridge Winery press conference disaster, Jill had become everyone's favorite target online. She'd been hiding in her room for days, too scared to show her face. But my message left her no choice—she had to come out.
The moment Jill stepped into the private room, she pulled off her hat and mask, putting on that fake voice of hers. "What's so urgent that you needed to see me?"
I was done with her act. No point in small talk. "There's something I think you'll find fascinating," I said, spinning the tablet toward her and hitting play.
Jill knew exactly what she was looking at.
Her expression shifted the second the video started.
When she heard herself actually say "system" out loud, she completely snapped. Her hand shot out, swiping the tablet clean off the table. It hit the floor with a crash.
"This is fabricated! None of it's real!" she screamed.
If it was fake, she wouldn't be losing her mind like this.
