Sallie's POV
After spending two days recovering at home, I returned to work.
Todd and I had mapped out our strategy—he'd handle the academy situation while I managed the Noah Group takeover and worked to honor Andy's final wishes.
First, though, I needed to see Jill's corpse at the hospital. Honestly, her sudden death felt surreal.
She'd caused me so much pain. She'd murdered both Levi and Johan.
Yet before I could get my revenge, someone else killed her.
I couldn't describe the sensation, but the rage and resentment still burned inside me.
I stood there for what felt like hours, staring at her pale, lifeless form. Finally, I turned and walked away without saying a word.
A staff member chased after me as I headed for the exit. "Miss, the body's been here quite some time. When will arrangements be made for removal?"
I didn't bother looking back. "Her family should handle that. I barely knew her."
