Chapter 94 - Mutant's Bane, Confused Mephisto

In the illusion, Andrew smiled at Charles and said, "Professor, we meet again."

"Demon King?"

Charles was stunned for a moment, then asked, "Are you here to make a soul contract with me?"

"Yes, as long as you are willing to give me your soul after Death, I will help you survive the Cosmic Storm."

Andrew said that normal people exposed to the Cosmic Storm radiation would gain Abilities, but no one knew what would happen to Mutant. Andrew wasn't empty-handed.

Charles hesitated for a moment, then, after a while, he said wearily, "I can give you my soul, but I hope you can help me save the Mutant race."

"Mutant, I can save them, but frankly, Professor, your soul isn't worth that much."

Andrew shook his head and refused. Saving Mutant would require a lot of thought and effort. Although the Professor's soul was precious, it wasn't that precious.

For Andrew to save Mutant, there was only one possibility: all Mutant would have to give him their souls.

"Oh, wait, what if I build a Mutant Utopia?"

A thought suddenly popped into Andrew's mind. He said, "Professor, make your decision. As a VIP, I can give you an extra piece of news as a gift, news that concerns the life and Death of Mutant."

"Life and Death? Alright, I'll sign."

Charles sighed, choosing to agree. He wasn't afraid of Death, but he couldn't die; Mutant needed him.

"Very good."

Andrew nodded in satisfaction. After Charles signed the contract, he said, "Have you heard of Worthington Labs?"

Charles nodded, "I've heard of it. Worthington is a famous pharmaceutical company in America."

"They have a Mutant called Leech…"

Andrew explained the antidote in detail: "Their goal is to develop a Mutant antidote to turn all Mutant back into ordinary people."

Charles shouted angrily, "Mutant have no antidote and don't need an antidote!"

"That's what you think."

Andrew said, "Worthington Labs is backed by the government. If you do nothing, they will develop an antidote—non-permanent at first, then permanent. I believe you know what will happen then."

Charles said firmly, "I will never allow such a thing to happen."

"That's your business, Professor, goodbye."

Andrew smiled, sent Charles's consciousness back to his body, then waved his hand, and several streams of magic flew into everyone's bodies.

In addition to Charles, Sloan, Mystique Raven, Toad, Sabretooth, Graviton, Fantastic Three, and Hawkeye Barton also chose to sign contracts, exchanging their souls after Death for their survival.

"A good harvest."

Andrew nodded in satisfaction. At the same time, the tungsten rod was about to hit Washington, and countless citizens chose to sign soul contracts to survive, including a large number of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

The number of planes was limited, so many S.H.I.E.L.D. agents couldn't escape and could only hide in underground bases.

"Very good."

Demon King Andrew raised his left hand in Hell, a spatial ripple flashed, and the burning tungsten rod suddenly disappeared, leaving only a line of English in the sky: I will be back!

The citizens of Washington looked at the sky in confusion. What was going on? It's over? And what did "will be back" mean? Would that tungsten rod reappear?

Are you kidding?

"Just a joke, don't be so serious."

Andrew smiled and quietly sent the accelerated tungsten rod to Mephisto's Hell. He was an old friend; of course, he couldn't forget him when there was a benefit.

...

In Mephisto's Hell, Mephisto was commanding a group of demons to beat his son, Blackheart. That's right, beating his own son. He had been in a very bad mood recently and needed Blackheart's screams to relieve stress.

"Ancient One's strength hasn't declined, and she's colluding with that kid. This is troublesome."

Mephisto frowned. Ancient One was intercepting Hell Lords and Crimson Demon Gods from the outside, while that kid was harvesting souls and driving away other Crimson Demon God followers from the inside. With their cooperation, Earth would soon have no place for them to stand.

What was more troublesome was that with Ancient One and that kid's strength, small skirmishes were useless against them.

"Must be a big one."

Mephisto thought to himself. Just then, a loud bang suddenly came from the west, and the terrifying vibration even reached here.

Mephisto was stunned, then immediately teleported to the scene and found that the entire City was shaking wildly, countless buildings collapsed, and countless demons died tragically.

At the same time, a high-temperature pit appeared in the middle of the City, and scorching magma gushed out of the pit, meaning the ground had been penetrated.

Mephisto was furious. With a wave of his left hand, all the demons who hadn't died were transferred away. Then, he pressed down with his right hand, and the City's shaking suddenly stopped.

After resolving the disaster, Mephisto clasped his hands and reversed time to look at the past.

A Hell Lord has great power in his own Hell, including controlling time. However, the degree varies. The weak can only see past images, while the strong can manipulate timelines at will, such as the veteran otaku Crimson Demon God.

Mephisto was at a medium level. Although he couldn't change past events, he could speed up and slow down time. However, he generally wouldn't do that; it consumed too much magic power.

What level is Andrew at? Uh, let's not talk about this, we're still friends.

Soon, past images appeared before Mephisto—a burning tungsten rod fell from the sky and slammed into the demon City, which collapsed like an earthquake.

"This rod came from another world. Why didn't I sense an invasion?"

Mephisto was shocked and angry. He tried hard to sense the aura on the tungsten rod. After a moment, he concluded that this rod came from Earth.

"There is only one truth."

Mephisto instantly solved the case. Ancient One was retaliating against him. Only Ancient One could invade his Hell without him sensing it, and only Ancient One had such a grand gesture—the Space Stone could also do this.

As for why Ancient One retaliated against him? This was perfectly normal. It was either because he called her an old woman, or because he incited other Demon Kings to trouble her some time ago. Uh, the former was more likely.

Mephisto was furious. The destruction of the City was nothing; he could rebuild several in minutes, but he couldn't revive the dead demons, so the loss was heavy.

Mephisto roared angrily at the sky, "Ancient One, I'm not done with you!"

In Kamar-Taj, Ancient One was elegantly basking in the sun and drinking tea. It was wonderful to have someone else handle all kinds of disasters.

At this moment, Ancient One sensed something, bent her finger, and tapped forward. A muffled grunt sounded, followed by the dissatisfied shout of a little boy outside the timeline, "Ancient One, why do you always stop me?"

"Franklin, this is not the timeline you should be in."

Ancient One said, "Go back. Dr. Reed can't defeat Andrew, and it's useless for you to help him."

"It's precisely because that idiot can't defeat the Demon King that I need to help him."

Franklin gritted his teeth and said, "I shouldn't have had faith in that guy. I was better at picking up girls when I was three than he was. And admiring his talent, I'm about to vomit from hearing it."

Ancient One couldn't help but smile. She said, "Your conflict with the Demon King is just about being born earlier or later. If you curry favor with him, he will let you be born earlier."

Franklin shouted, "I will never curry favor with him, Ancient One, let me in, I still have a chance."

"Go back. It's not shameful for a son to curry favor with his father."

Ancient One shook her head and kept Franklin out. This world was already chaotic enough, and the timeline absolutely could not have any more problems.

Thinking of something, Ancient One looked up at the outside of the timeline. A large group of people were trying to break through the Time Stone's blockade. She couldn't help but shake her head. Why did so many people like to travel through timelines? Did they not know that it would cause greater disasters?
