At the ICQ Office...
Even though it was 8 p.m., no one had gone home. The whole team was waiting.
"Goldfinger," asked Weisger, the CEO, "are the computers ready?"
"Everything is perfect!" said Goldfinger, the tech boss, with a confident smile. "Our new servers can handle three million people chatting at once without crashing."
Weisger nodded. "Vardy, is the marketing team ready?"
Vardy grinned. "My sword is thirsty for action! Let's do this!"
Zane was watching quietly from the side. He was the Chief Creative Officer, but he knew it was best to let the other bosses handle the launch. He just wanted the company to succeed, because he owned the biggest piece of it!
8 p.m. arrived!
"I announce that ICQ is officially launched!" Weisger shouted, throwing his arms in the air.
Everyone cheered!
"It's finally here!"
"All our hard work is paying off!"
"And the Juno movie is a huge hit! Our ads are going to be seen by millions!"
As soon as the order was given, ICQ went live.
At the same time, Zane's hired "water army" started posting on all the big internet forums.
[Instant Messaging: Get It? ICQ is the Future!]
At first, people were confused.
JasmineIsThePrettiest: "ICQ? What is this?"
LittleDick: "I don't get it. Is it just email?"
But the hired posters fought back.

Suddenly, the tide turned. Everyone wanted to try the "cool new software" from the movie.

In less than 10 minutes, the post had 34,000 views and 27,000 likes!
And in just half an hour, over 150,000 people had downloaded ICQ!

Back at the Office...
Weisger, Vardy, and Goldfinger were hugging each other, jumping up and down.
"Am I dreaming?" Vardy shouted.
Weisger hugged Zane. "Mr. Blackwood! Without you, there would be no ICQ! Thank you!"
"It's nothing," Zane said modestly, waving his hand. "You guys did all the hard work."
But inside, Zane was bursting with pride.
He knew that in his old life, ICQ had a very hard start. It took six months to get a million users because they had no money for ads.
But now? With Zane's money and the Juno movie ads? It was exploding on day one!

The Next Day, 9 a.m.
Zane walked into his movie studio, Wald Pictures, feeling like a king.
"Boss! We did it!" shouted Martha, his head of development. "Our movie Juno was the Number 1 movie yesterday! It made $29 million!"
The whole office was buzzing.
"I can't believe it!" said an old employee who had worked there for 8 years. He had watched the company almost go bankrupt before Zane bought it. Now, they were champions!
Winning the Number 1 spot was something only the "Big Six" giant studios did. For a small, third-tier company like Wald Pictures, it was a miracle.
Just then, CEO Victor walked out of his office with a huge smile.
"Boss, we made it," Victor said. "Juno beat Michael Jordan's Space Jam to become the daily champion!"
Hearing this, Zane finally let out a long, happy sigh of relief.
His plan had worked perfectly.
