Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 On the rooftop, the Herrscher of Thunder beats up Kiana

"Get lost, you pervert! Don't stop me from finding Mei!" Kiana gave a headshot to a Deadman sister with a baseball bat, then quickly moved her long legs and ran desperately.

"Dead people, don't block the way!" Kiana slid to dodge a Deadman's scythe, then quickly got up, gripped her baseball bat, and delivered a headshot.

Kaslana Family's monstrous strength, kid!

After a headshot, Kiana quickly ran into the library, closed the big door, and slowly slid down, leaning against the door, collapsing onto the ground.

"Honkai… how did it erupt so suddenly?" Kiana clutched her white hair. Now that she didn't have to run for her life, she finally had a chance to clear her thoughts.

"Those lightning bolts… they definitely weren't something humans could control, and Mei's eyes at that time, so cold…" Kiana hugged her knees, looking at the baseball bat beside her with some worry.

"Argh! I only have one baseball bat, how am I supposed to fight Mei, who can control lightning?!" Kiana clutched her hair in frustration, and at that moment, an ethereal voice sounded in her ear.

"That's a baseball bat only protagonists have!"

"Who?!" Kiana's eyes instantly sharpened. She flipped over, grabbed her baseball bat, and stood up, leaning against the wall, vigilantly looking around.

The library was silent. Besides the sounds of the Deadmen outside, Kiana heard nothing else, as if the ethereal female voice she had just heard was a hallucination.

"Was I hallucinating? Forget it, I don't care. I'll rest a bit and then set off!" Kiana sat back down, leaning against the wall, her tense spirit finally able to relax a little.

"Mei's last direction… seemed to be the rooftop of the East Teaching Building?" Kiana tried hard to recall the clues. Although she was being chased by a horde of Deadmen, fortunately, she never forgot to pay attention to Mei's whereabouts.

"Alright, Kiana, prepare to strike!" After feeling somewhat recovered, Kiana gripped her baseball bat and stood up, a vibrant and confident smile on her face, and pushed open the library's large door.

The wandering Deadmen at the entrance all turned their gazes to Kiana, but before they could react, Kiana transformed into a pure white comet, fleeing the area.

"Hehe, how interesting, Kiana~" In a space filled with cecilia flowers, a pure white figure chuckled softly as she watched the scene playing on the television.

If one ignored the short shirt on the figure that read "Strongest," this scene actually had quite the feel of a final boss.

...

As Kiana got closer to the rooftop where Raiden Mei was, the number of Deadmen increased. Kiana had to abandon the idea of forcing her way through and switched to stealth.

"Careful… be careful…" Kiana cautiously poked her head out from the corridor. After confirming she was in a Deadman's blind spot, she tiptoed quietly up the stairs.

"Trouble." As soon as she reached the second floor, Kiana saw a Deadman blocking the staircase. She crouched low; going out now would only alert them and get her caught in a vicious group attack by the Deadmen.

'This Deadman is alone, and from the look of the corridor, there aren't many Deadmen on the second floor either. So… if it's a one-hit kill…' Kiana gripped the Kaslana Family's ancestral baseball bat, having made up her mind.

The baseball bat swung, creating a whooshing sound. The Deadman sister didn't even have time to turn around before she was hit on the head with a baseball bat. Her eyes went black, and she fell directly to the ground, disappearing into pure Honkai energy.

"Must speed up." Kiana hurried her steps, completely unaware that the Honkai energy that the Deadman turned into after death was slowly entering her body.

At the rooftop door, Kiana took a deep breath, her pure blue eyes filled with determination. She raised her hand, turned the doorknob, and pushed open the rooftop door.

"Mei!"

By the rooftop railing, the girl Kiana was worried about slowly turned around after hearing Kiana's voice, her crimson eyes coldly appraising Kiana.

"Monster! Give me back Mei!" Kiana pointed her baseball bat at the Raiden Mei (?) in front of her, shouting, which also served to bolster her courage and confidence.

"Are you talking about that coward?" Raiden Mei (?) tilted her head, pointed to her heart, and what she said made Kiana's hands and feet turn cold.

"She's already dead~"

Kiana's beautiful blue eyes flashed with dismay, but she quickly firmed her resolve, shaking her head and saying, "I don't believe it!"

"Believe it or not, it's up to you. But I already let you off once, and yet you came running to your death yourself, so you can't blame me." Raiden Mei, or rather, the Herrscher of Thunder, raised her hand, and a purple lightning bolt struck towards Kiana.

Kiana rolled to the left, dodging the attack. The purple lightning struck the ground, leaving a charred black crater.

"Hmph~ You have some skill, don't you?" The Herrscher of Thunder's lips curved into a playful arc, teasing Kiana like a cat playing with a mouse. Lightning bolts struck Kiana one after another. Kiana dodged them all with her excellent intuition and reaction speed, gripping her baseball bat and approaching the Herrscher of Thunder.

"Now! Take this!" Kiana noticed a gap in the Herrscher of Thunder's attack. Her eyes flashed, and she stomped hard on the ground, creating a small pit. Using this recoil, she charged towards the Herrscher of Thunder, swinging her baseball bat at her head.

"Hmph~" The Herrscher of Thunder was completely unfazed. Kiana immediately realized she had fallen into a trap when she noticed the Herrscher of Thunder's slight smile and the playful look in her eyes.

Sure enough, a lightning barrier appeared around the Herrscher of Thunder, and Kiana crashed straight into it.

"Aaaah!" Thunder raged. Kiana was covered in lightning, and her Chiba Academy uniform was damaged, but even so, Kiana gritted her teeth and swung the weapon in her hand.

"Wake up, Mei!"

The Herrscher of Thunder's eyes flashed with surprise. According to her calculations, this barrier should have been enough to incapacitate Kiana. Why could Kiana still move?

It was only a brief moment of Stunned, and Kiana's baseball bat was already in front of the Herrscher of Thunder's eyes, leaving a direct mark on her face and knocking her back a few steps.

The lightning net dissipated, and Kiana fell to the ground, faint black smoke rising from her body. The Herrscher of Thunder covered the mark on her face, her eyes filled with rage.

"How dare you, how dare you hit me with that stick!" The Herrscher of Thunder's eyes were bloodshot. Her father had never hit her like that!

Kiana looked at the enraged Herrscher of Thunder. Before she could react, she felt an attack land on her abdomen. The next second, she was kicked flying and slammed into the wall.

"Cough ah!" Blood spilled from her mouth. Kiana lay on the ground, her eyes slightly wide, struggling to get up.

"Die, you mongrel!" The Herrscher of Thunder raised her hands, and lightning began to gather. Kiana gripped her baseball bat, struggling to prop herself up.

At this moment, the threads of death had already Entanglement themselves around Kiana, and a certain white-haired, one-armed uncle who had been secretly watching Kiana also gripped the twin pistols at his waist.

'Am I going to die…?' The lightning reflected in Kiana's blue eyes. Everything around her seemed to freeze. Kiana could only watch as the lightning ball came towards her.
