Near a forest on the outskirts of the Capital, Ray, asta, Yami and finral step through a portal and stand before the black bulls headquarters located there.
'Whoever designed this disaster must've been on a mission to give architects a bad name. Did they build this place blindfolded, using nothing but an old broom and a pile of scrap wood? The only thing more unstable than this building is the person who thought it was a good idea!' Ray thought as he looked at the barely standing building.
The headquarters looks like it was made after throwing a bunch of random materials together by a drunk animal. The building, although large, was extremely rundown, and somewhat dilapidated, giving it a rugged, almost abandoned look. The Architecture was unconventional, with uneven walls, a crooked roof and an overall haphazard design.
However, these features of the black bulls HQ set it apart from the HQs of the other squads. Like the HQ, the entire Black bulls squad was a collection of chaotic, messy, defective, yet incredibly amazing people.
*BOOM! *
Suddenly, the serene tranquility of the the area was shattered by a loud explosion from with in the building.
Asta looked dumbfounded as to why a magic squad's headquarters was exploding. Meanwhile Ray smirked knowingly, bubbling with a mix of excitement and anticipation as the Moment when he met his favorite anime characters in real life drew closer.
Yami and Finral, however had much different expressions. Yami's face had darkened, while finral was obviously thinking about something else. Probably another blind date.
Yami strode forward and kicked open the door. Inside? Absolute chaos.
*WHOOSH!*
*BOOM BOOM BOOM!*
"Fight me! Fight me magna!"
*BZZT!*
"Get lost you damn psycho!"
*KABOOOOOM!*
"Hahaha you missed! By the way, that pudding you were hiding was delish, magna!"
*BZZT!*
*CRACKLE CRACKLE!*
"And that'll be your last meal! Die!"
*WHOOSH!*
*KABOOM! KABOOM! KABOOOOOM!*
"Would you knock it off idiots? What will you do if my sister hears your boorish racket, you morons!"
"*Hic* and then *hic* I remember getting into a *hic* drinking contest with some *hic* old guy... *Hic* *burp* and then... Nothin'"
" Munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch..."

The entire entrance hall was in shambles. There were splinters of wood, broken legs of chairs, a smashed table, and more such unfortunate nonliving pieces of wood, scattered everywhere.
The remains of what used to be curtains were ablaze. The chandelier was swaying wildly due to the sparks of lightning coming off of a blonde haired youth with a crazy smile. He was fighting against a delinquent haired individual wearing sunglasses indoors, and launching fiery home runs with a flaming bat.
Near by, a mountain of food could be seen disappearing piece by piece at the hands of a little black haired girl. Behind her stood a hulking figure wrapped in shadows, observing the room with nonchalantness (or is it nervousness?)

Near the entrance, a half naked, pink haired woman wearing a witch's hat, lay on a couch drinking booze like it was the end of the world, while narrating a story no one was paying attention to. Opposite to her sat a brown haired man staring at the portrait of a little girl. The curious thing about this man was that he had a nose bleed while staring (weirdo).
In the corner at the far end of the room, a man with white face, black eyes and lips, with his hair slicked back, sat facing the wall while mumbling something about freinds.
Asta looked absolutely thrilled to see the inside of a magic knights headquarters while ray felt his Quincy cross reacting to the magic in the area. However, Yami's expression darkened even more after seeing the state of the HQ.
"Would you people… QUIT BREAKING STUFF!" Yami yelled, smashing the wall on his left.
'Way to set an example!' Asta thought.
The entire hall went silent. Then, just as fast as it went quiet, all the members of the black bulls rushed towards them, yelling.
"Mister Yami, welcome back sir!"
"Welcome back captain! ♡"
"Captain, this is Yummy!"
"Captain, do you have a minute."
"Did anyone get in your face, captain? If they did, I'll go crush them."
"Leave these little brats alone, come have a drink with me!"
"I'm sorry, I can't take it anymore. Can I go see my sister?"
*HAHAHAHA!*
Yami laughed. "I see, i see. You guys like me that much, huh?" Suddenly, his face darkened.
"But you're annoying. Can it."
"Sorry!" They replied.
After setting them straight, he turned to Ray and asta.
"These two twerps here are our new recruits. Treat them well. Also, don't overdo it. We don't want them dieing on their first day here." Saying this he strode off deeper into the building. Probably going to take a bathroom break.
However asta looked puzzled. He turned and asked finral,
"What did captain Yami mean by that?" He asked.
"It's mister Yami to you!" A voice interrupted.
It was the delinquent haired kid.
Mister Yami was talking about the rite of passage that all newbies have to go through." He smiled devilishly.
Asta, being asta responded in a typical asta way. "What! That's so cool!" He had stars in his eyes. "By the way, my name is asta!" He said, bowing a bit.
Ray followed suite and bowed a bit while saying,
"I'm ray. Nice to meet you seniors." He said, currying favour with the black Bulls, specifically magna, since he was Ray's favorite character in the anime, due to his tenaciousness. Despite being the most ordinary member of the black bulls he exhibited an incredible amount of resilience and resolve, by training and keeping up with the unfair powerups of characters like Vanessa and Charmy by creatively modifying his flames.
The delinquent smiles at Ray's address and pats him on the back. Hard.
"Thats the spirit kid! You learn fast. Hahaha! I'm Magna Swing by the way! Come. Ill be conducting you rookie's rite of passage this time." Magna says, leading them outside of the HQ and to the forest area around it. once they reach a clearing, he turns around and announces,
"I'm about to launch attack magic at you, block it or avoid it, any way you want! Do that and you become a black bulls member, free and clear. And I'll give you this robe." Magna says, tugging at his black bulls robe. Asta was going first, since he was fired up about getting his magic knights robe.
Meanwhile, Ray stood with the other black bulls members, watching the match and answering questions, that they shot at him.
"So where are you from?" Finral asks. While coming to the clearing, He had interacted with the black bulls members and learned their names formally.
"We're from hage village. its a remote village in the foresaken realm, near the demon skull. both of us were brought up in a local orphanage." Ray replied, with a nostalgic smile on his face.
Their reactions were mixed.
"Whoa! Is there anyone strong enough to fight there? Are you strong? Fight me!" - Luck
"Oh Wow! Do you have yummy stuff there?" - Charmy
"Your from the boonies and yet you got into the magic knights... You must've worked hard, kid. How about i rew- *Blech*" - Vanessa

"Will you be my freind..." - Mime guy
*Mumble*
"Hage village? You mean that teensy village in the boonies?" - Finral.
Ray ignored the annoying ones and answered finral,
"Yeah. the one in the Boonies. it is also, the closest village in clover kingdom to the demon skull, from the demon 500 years old." He replied.
Before Finral could say anything, a loud explosion rang out in the clearing.
*BOOM!*
Asta had successfully repelled the fireball with the flat of his blade. Magna, who had gotten hit by his own magic.
Finral looked absolutely horrified. Partly because he wasn't paying attention to the match and would not have been able to help asta if something went wrong, and partly because asta repelled the magic fireball back at magna, giving him a taste of his own medi- Swing.
Meanwhile, as the dust cleared, one could see an absolutely fine Magna. but his face was shrouded in darkness. Asta, was freaking out, unsure of what comes next.
"I was this close to getting offed by my own magic... Yooooouu..." His face suddenly brightened, "Absolutely Rocked! Way to go!" He walked over to Asta and Patted him on the back (Smashed his spine more like...), "You didnt just block my magic! You sent it right back at me, hahaha! I like you Short-sta!"
"Its Asta..."
"By the way, I'm actually from the forsaken realm too! I'm from rayaka village, its a little ways off from hage village!"
"For real man? Your seriously from the sticks!"
"I dont wanna hear that from you!"
The black bulls group approached them, while Ray lingered around in the back, as the conversations continued. He was string at his Quincy cross, which was starting to glow a little.
*DING!*

Ray Looked at his Race passives in Confusion. However, His system didn't provide a further explanation. So, the gears in his mind began turning.
'Since this is part of race passives... it means that these are probably something that sets quincies apart...' Ray thought.
'What makes a quincy special...? Then, it slowly hit him. Quincy were basically humans who had the ability to manipulate reishi. Heck, since birth they have been absorbing small amounts of reishi, strenghtening their bodies overtime, making them immensely stronger than other humans. The same can be said about me.' he thought as his eyes wandered over his own body, taking in his muscles, and frowned.
'I dont see any reishi enhanced parts. This body is something i acquired by training with asta. at this point, im as durable as him, if not a bit less, since he has been training with the demon-slayer sword for the last 6 months, while i have been hunting Vacuans and increasing my reishi.'
While ray was contemplating his newly acquired powers, Luck stated that he wanted to handle Ray's Baptism. The entire squad was against it, but then, Yami arrived and overheard the arguments.
"Hey! keep it down you Numbskulls! Let luck handle the twerp number 2. even I'm interested in how a ranged fighter handles Luck. If he can't, then he fails..."
