'Hah… ha…' Kenneth panted as he got out of the closet.
'Augh…' John moaned, 'Why is it so dark all of a sudden…?'
Skyler smashed out of the closet breathing for air.
'Everyone alright?' Skyler asked, inhaling all the air she could, 'Ah, the monster probably caused the darkness…'
'Uh…' John whispered, trembling, 'Where is… Lin?'
'Uh oh…' Kenneth whispered back, 'Lin? LIN!'
Skyler looked around, in panic. Lin was Skyler's own very best friend, and if she was gone, she would rather be gone too.
'Lin?' She called out, 'Lin? Lin!'
It was very dark and it was hard to see.
'Guys!' Kenneth called out to John and Skyler, 'Gold!'
'Kenneth!!' Skyler yelled angrily, 'I don't care about gold!!'
'Oh right…' Kenneth sighed, 'Wait…'
John hurried over to Kenneth and the drawer he was searching inside.
'Flashlight!' Kenneth screamed in excitement, 'We can see better now!!'
'Kenneth! John!!' Skyler yelled even louder.
'But this flashlight can help us find Lin!' John told, 'See?'
John snatched the flashlight out of Kenneth's hands and turned it on.
'Bingo!' He celebrated.
'John…' Kenneth laughed.
'Skyler… calm down. It's all going to be alright.' John comforted.
Skyler sighed and rushed over.
'There!' She screamed, 'Lin!!'
John and Kenneth immediately turned their heads to face Lin, lying on the floor helplessly.
'Hah… ha…' Lin panted as she tried to block the flashlight's light from blinding her eyes.
'LIN!!' Kenneth screamed.
'Thank goodness you're safe!' Skyler cried.
John smiled. Lin got up and started walking.
'Let's watch out for that monster in case it comes again.' John warned.
'Yeah.' Lin agreed,
'Hey!' Kenneth shrieked.
He pointed to door '0008'. It had been opened by the mysterious black monster just a minute ago.
'Ah, well what ever.' Kenneth sighed.
Skyler walked with Lin slowly and carefully and Skyler looked at her face, and realised something.
'Hey! Where's your bandage?' She asked, 'Where's the bite on your face?'
'Uh… huh?' Lin looked at Skyler, 'Ah! I don't know!'
'That's weird.' John instantly said butting in.
They continued to walk in the darkness until…
PSST!
'Yes? Kenneth?' John whispered.
'What.' Kenneth replied looking annoyed, 'I didn't say anything to you.'
'Yes you did, you 'Psst-ed' me, KENNETH.'
'NO I DIDN'T!!' Kenenth yelled.
'Okay, okay!' John shushed, 'Chill!!'
The friends kept on walking through rooms in silence.
Door '0009'

'Wait… isn't there supposed to be only ten doors?' John questioned.
'I guess not…' Kenneth answered.
'0011'
'AHH!' John screamed.
He had just turned around and something screamed right in his ear and leapt away.
'What?' Skyler asked, confused.
'I just saw something gooey black right next to my face!!' John shrieked.
'Seriously…' Lin laughed, 'Your jokes are so bad, John!'
Lin kept laughing and laughing untill they reached a bright room again.
Door, '0013'.
'IT'S TRUE!' John yelled.
'Yeah, yeah…' Kenneth laughed, along with Lin.
Skyler sighed.
'Are you sure it wasn't just your silly imagination, AGAIN.' Skyler asked, looking terribly bored.
'What do you mean… AGAIN?!' John scolded, 'Okay… Fine…'
Kenenth and Lin laughed even harder.
Skyler opened the next door.
'0014'
Kenenth and Lin stopped laughing all of a sudden.
'It's a locked door.' Lin murmured.
'Yeah, and there's lot's of rooms here.' Kenneth added, 'The key could be anywhere!!'
John walked past Kenneth and Lin.
'Skyler, you start from the closest door to us…' John strategised, 'Lin. Kenneth, you guys up the farthest from us.'
John was getting impatient.
'Okaayyyyy… If you say so!' Kenneth answered.
Lin looked at John smiling, trying to be as annoying as she could.
Kenneth walked into the last room on the right and Lin went into the left. John and Skyler walked into the closest one to each of the which was right for Skyler and left for John.
'Yo! I found some more gold in here!!' Kenenth eventually screamed.
'Really?' Lin called out from inside her room, 'Me too!'
John was listening from his room and he just sighed. He too, had found gold, a lot of gold. Skyler mumbled and murmured to herself some cheerful words to keep her positive, but none of it worked.
'This place is wonderful… Yeah… and it's beautiful too…' She whispered to herself 'It's better than any other hotel I've been to with Lin…'
It was true, the hotel was extremely quiet and calm, most importantly beautifully designed.
Kenneth walked out his room and went to the next room closest to him on his side. He walked in and started whistling.
'Hey guys!!' Kenneth called out, 'I found something!!'
'What?!' Skyler shouted with all her might across almost the whole entire hallway.
'A battery!!' Kenneth announced.
The whole room fell silent.
'Does it even fit the flashlight?' John eventually shouted, across the hallway.
Kenneth walked out and held out his battery waiting for John to give him the flashlight.
'Fine. Here.' John mumbled.
Kenneth smiled.
'Okay… the big reveal in ten… nine… eight… seven—'
'Just do three seconds!!' John yelled looking tired.'
Kenneth was silent.
'One…' He whimpered.
He clicked the battery into the flashlight's battery socket.
'It works!!' Lin celebrated.
Kenneth smiled. He was sad though. John was very happy with Kenneth anymore. John looked as if he hated him. Kenenth just smiled a feint smile and then continued.
'I have the key.'
'They walked into the next room.
'0015'
And the lights flickered.
'Again?' Skyler asked confused.
'Find a closet and stay close to it.' John instructed.
Skyler, Lin and John all found a closet and stood next to it. Kenneth walked around searching, but there was no closet.
'It's coming!! Hide!!' Lin screamed.
'Kenneth!!' Skyler screamed seeing him not able to find a closet.
Kenneth could already see the creature. It was bigger than he had pictured it. And it was ready to feast on him.
He ran into a small room and he saw a bed.
'Thank you!!' Kenneth thanked.
He turned around and the creature was coming, rushing.
Kenneth quickly tugged himself under the bed.
A few seconds passed. Silence. Nothing.
It was gone.
PSST!
'Who was that?!' Kenenth shrieked.
No one was near him then he suddenly felt something gooey resting on his right shoulder. He couldn't really feel it, but he knew there was definitely something there.
'Y— Yes?' Kenneth hesitated.
A black creature was rested on his shoulder screeched.
'Ahhh!!' Kenneth screamed back.
The gooey creature jumped off his shoulder and flew away.
'Hey come back!!' Kenenth demanded.
But it was too late, it had faded back into the darkness.
