"Are you really sure they would pass here?" Rei said, then proceeded to munch on a chocolate-flavored biscuit while sitting in the passenger seat of the van, satisfying the hunger that suddenly surged now that she finally had the time to relax.
"There's no traffic on this road, so this is where they would likely pass," Nach replied only after gulping down half of his energy drink, then silently offering the other half to Rei.
Looking at the bottle of energy drink Nach was handing to her, Rei's concern wasn't the idea of an indirect kiss. With the intimacy they shared inside the store's fitting room, there was no way she would still be worried about such a naïve thought.
What Rei was actually thinking—while staring at the opening of the bottle with a flustered, blushing face—was the flashback of her sucking on the tip of Nach's massive erection.
What she remembered was the bittersweet taste of his release still lingering in her mouth, and the sensation of swallowing such thick and viscous liquid that she could still feel in her throat. And what she was wondering was whether the energy drink bottle was actually the same size as Nach's erection.
No, it's much bigger... probably around the size of my forearm…
"Is something wrong, Rei?"
Nach's voice brought Rei's attention back before her thoughts could take a dangerous but exciting turn.
"Ehh… nothing… I'm not thinking of anything…" Rei murmured, trying not to give Nach any hint of what she had been imagining, unaware of the flustered expression on her face.
Understanding Rei's reaction, Nach's perverted instincts flared up again.
"Do you perhaps want to drink something else, Rei?" he said, flashing a perverted grin that instantly made Rei completely embarrassed.
"Just give it to me already!" Rei exclaimed, snatching the bottle of energy drink from his hand and abruptly gulping down the rest of the contents as if trying to wash away the lingering taste in her mouth and the sensation in her throat.
But with such a bland taste and lukewarm drink, even Rei realized it wouldn't be enough.

Going back a few events before Rei and Nach's current situation—with the slight difference from the original plot of the story since they were now riding a new van rather than the motorcycle—as they waited at the side of the road at Onbetsu River near Tokonosu Castle...
—Bang!—
It was a bit foolish to kill the already defenseless, cut-apart undead high school girl by wasting a bullet—firing a shot that would definitely attract the attention of any undead outside the store.
But even Tanjiro Kamado changed his sword-breathing technique to a painless one right before killing the spider demon girl who chose to die willingly.
So Nach decided to show respect to the couple who faced their end in intimacy, and show sympathy to the undead high school girl who still seemed to retain some affection for its undead lover despite turning into a rather strong undead.
"Let's go, Rei."
Rei quickly followed behind Nach, glancing over her shoulder at the corpse of the undead couple with their hands holding each other. Not because the undead high school girl reached its lover before Nach shot it in the head, but because Nach placed its hand over its lover's.
Right outside the store…
"Those freaking high school boys!" Nach shouted in anger upon seeing the beaten-up motorcycle with its gasoline leaking out of the tank.
"That shouldn't be your concern right now, Sensei!" Rei shouted in panic, acting on impulse just like Nach.
"You aren't even sure if it was them!"
"It's definitely them!"
The fact that the two high school boys Nach knocked out in self-defense were already gone from where he left them only solidified his suspicion that they messed up the motorcycle to get back at him.
It could also be the other way around—that they destroyed the motorcycle first since they saw Rei riding it with Nach, then followed them inside the store to take Rei for themselves.
Whatever actually happened, the motorcycle itself or their ride to Onbetsu Bridge wasn't Nach's concern. What he was actually mad about was that he would surely miss one key event in the original plot now that the motorcycle was gone: the event where Shizuka was supposed to ride the motorcycle with Takashi.
How am I supposed to feel Shizuka's large, soft breasts pressing on my back now?!
"Sensei!"
Rei's panicked voice snapped Nach out of his perverted thoughts as he desperately searched the area for another motorcycle, ignoring the undead slowly approaching them.
Both gunshots—each fired by Rei and Nach—had indeed attracted the undead lurking near the store. Not to mention their loud argument practically invited the undead to a meal.
"Fine…" Nach sighed, forcing himself to focus on the situation in front of him.
"Stay behind me and watch out for any aggressive undead, Rei."
"I know!"
With only slowly moving undead as their opponents, Nach and Rei easily handled the situation at first.
Nach wielded his axe skillfully, beheading multiple undead with precise swings, focusing more on speed than strength to conserve his stamina.
Rei, meanwhile, handled the undead coming from behind, thrusting her makeshift spear and aiming precisely at the eye or under the jaw to pierce the brain.
Although they were able to hold their ground at first, both Nach and Rei knew they would soon be overwhelmed and swarmed if they didn't run—or if they didn't find what Nach was searching for.
"Found it," Nach said, spotting a car key with a keychain alarm hanging from the waist of a male undead. As soon as he chopped its head off, he crouched down to grab the key.
"What else are you looking for?" Rei asked, gazing at Nach as he searched the pockets of the undead he'd killed even though he already had a key.
"Just wait a second…"
"Hurry up, Sensei."
"Got it. Now, where is the car?"
As soon as Nach found what he was looking for and slipped it into the side pocket of his backpack, he pressed the button on the keychain—beep!—and a van parked in front of another store sounded its horn.
"There—Hurry up, Rei."
"You're the one who should move!" Rei retorted, thrusting her makeshift spear to pierce the eye of the undead about to grab Nach.
"Thanks for the save."
"Let's just go already."
