Chapter 31: Before Setting Sail

With anticipation and curiosity, Ganyu slowly stepped onto the ship's gangplank.

The clean wooden deck issued a crisp creak under her short heels, clear evidence that Kaya had specially arranged for the new ship to be thoroughly cleaned.

She stood on the deck, carefully observing the mast and sails in the center of the ship, then turned and walked into the cabin located at the stern.

Inside was a spacious living room, capable of holding more than ten people, which included a meeting area, a galley, and the helm.

Although the functional areas were clearly divided, it was effectively one large hall, with a brick stove, steering wheel, icebox, sofa, and other items arranged in an orderly manner. Despite the variety of items, it didn't feel cluttered in the slightest.

 "Not bad."

Ganyu nodded in satisfaction, sat on the sofa for a moment, then got up and walked out of the cabin.

This time, she explored downwards, using the stairs next to the mast.

Below were two levels of space.

The lower level had two storage rooms, located under the bow and stern respectively.

The bow storage area was connected to a cannon, which would be used for firing in future naval battles. Besides the cannon, oars, lifebuoys, ropes, and other sailing necessities were also neatly stored here.

The stern storage was an ordinary storeroom, specifically for supplies like wine barrels and food.

The second-level basement had only two bedrooms.

As expected, the smaller cabin was prepared for the female crew members, while the larger one was allocated to the male crew.

Of course, if the number of female crew members ever exceeded the male crew in the future, this arrangement might be adjusted.

However, Ganyu knew this was impossible. Including herself, there would only be three female crew members on the ship: herself, Nami, and Robin.

"Ganyu, did you find the room? How is it?"

At that moment, Nami rushed down the stairs and into Ganyu's bedroom, her eyes immediately lighting up.

"Wow! This is even better than I imagined! Kaya is so thoughtful, she even prepared a mirror for us!"

The mirror she was referring to was actually an elegant vanity table.

As a man, Merry naturally wouldn't have thought of these details; this must have been arranged by Kaya herself.

"Miss Kaya has definitely never been to sea. What real pirate would use something like this?" Ganyu thought to herself.

Besides, she had no use for it at all; any decoration was superfluous for her naturally beautiful and flawless figure.

"Don't you think the other facilities here are even more luxurious than the mirror?"

Ganyu lay lazily on the soft sofa, pointing at the furniture in the room.

Nami looked where she pointed and couldn't help but exclaim:

"A desk, a bookshelf, a bed, a sofa, a bar... This setup is just too complete! It's almost like living in a luxury hotel!"

"If I remember correctly, this room was originally designed for Kaya. Only for his young mistress would Merry have designed it so luxuriously," Ganyu said leisurely, her gaze falling on the opulent bedside lamp.

"Then we've really benefited from it."

Nami sighed, then walked over to the hammock and lay down.

The hammock swayed gently with her movements, outlining her graceful curves.

"From now on, I'll sleep in this hammock, and you can have the big bed."

Nami squinted her eyes, enjoying the comfortable hammock.

"No, you can have the big bed."

 Ganyu refused the offer.

She realized there were only two beds in the room; the hammock could only sleep one person, while the double bed could sleep two or three.

If she slept in this big bed, wouldn't Robin, who would join the ship in the future, have to sleep with her?

To share a bed with a mature, charming woman in her prime, yet be unable to have any relations with her, would be incredibly painful for her.

 "Oh, that makes sense."

Nami misunderstood, thinking Ganyu wanted to continue being close to her.

"We don't need to sleep separately; it would be better if we slept in the same bed just like these past few days!"

"No, I mean I'll sleep in the hammock..." Ganyu said weakly, but Nami either had fallen asleep or was pretending not to hear, and didn't respond.

 "..."

The air fell silent once again.

 After a long time.

Hearing the steady breathing of the orange-haired girl from the hammock, Ganyu quietly got up and left the room.

She wasn't sleepy yet, so she decided not to stay and disturb Nami's rest.

 Click, clack, clack.

Returning to the deck, I saw Zoro standing at the bow, chatting idly with Luffy, who was sitting there.

Hearing the noise, the two turned their heads at the same time.

A bright smile instantly blossomed on Luffy's face, and he waved his hand excitedly, "Ganyu, Ganyu, come over here! The view here is amazing!"

 "Is it?"

Ganyu took two steps forward, stopping beside Zoro, and looked at Luffy with a smile. "Didn't you say the bow was your special seat? Why are you letting me sit there?"

"I'll make an exception and let you sit here this time. But after today, you won't get a second chance."

Luffy laughed and patted the spot next to him, signaling for Ganyu to hurry over.

"Alright, then I must cherish this opportunity."

Ganyu leaped up lightly, deliberately stepping on Zoro's instep, and then agilely jumped onto the bow.

"Hiss..." Zoro sucked in a sharp breath of cold air, speechless for a long time as he looked at Ganyu, who had a smug smile on her face.

 This woman holds a grudge.

Luffy burst out laughing, thinking Ganyu had stepped on him by accident. "Haha, Zoro, you're so unlucky!"

"Idiot! Can't you tell this woman did it on purpose?" Zoro said, exasperated.

"Really? Ganyu, you're so bad!" Luffy glanced at Ganyu beside him, blinked, and said:

 "Nice job!"

Ganyu pursed her lips and smiled sweetly. "Thank you for the compliment, Captain. I'll work harder in the future."

 You two...

Zoro's face gradually darkened, but he was completely powerless against the two in front of him.

One was a woman he couldn't offend, and the other was the captain he respected.

"By the way, where's Nami? I haven't seen her." Luffy laughed for a while before remembering someone was missing from the ship.

"She was sleeping in the bedroom."

Ganyu faced the sea breeze, feeling it brush past her cheeks, her ice-blue hair dancing wildly.

The feeling was very pleasant, making her feel relaxed and comfortable from head to toe.

 "Sleeping?"

Luffy tilted his head, asking in surprise, "If she's asleep, how are we supposed to set sail?"

"Why don't we let our 'great navigator' here serve as the navigator for now?"

Zoro suddenly spoke up, clearly countering Ganyu. "Trust her, she'll definitely lead our ship back into the sea."

Ganyu easily understood his meaning. She turned and glared at him, then turned her head back and snorted coldly. "Even if the ship really capsizes, I have a way to save everyone else and let you return to the sea alone."

 "It's fine."

Luffy shook his head, not understanding what the two were talking about. "Let's wait for Nami to wake up. She didn't sleep all night, she must be exhausted."

Ganyu nodded, then turned to Luffy. "Do you two want to rest for a while? As humans... your bodies haven't rested for a day and a night, and you've been through an intense battle. You must be tired, right?"
