Chapter 131: The Miracle Rain

The Royal Capital of Alabasta, Alubarna.

The first rays of the morning sun pierced through the desert mist, sharply outlining the silhouette of the desert city. However, today, the capital was shrouded in a suffocating, murderous atmosphere.

Outside the city walls, the Rebel Army formed a dark, oppressive mass, spreading like a tide all the way to the horizon. Tens of thousands of soldiers gripped various weapons, their faces beneath their headscarves etched with the marks of drought and fury.

Atop the walls, the Royal Army was equally prepared. Every soldier's expression was taut; they were protecting their homes, yet facing their own countrymen.

The air had solidified.

Whether inside or outside the city, everyone held their breath. The tension was palpable; a single spark would be enough to ignite the explosion of war.

Princess Vivi stood on the highest observation tower of the city wall.

Her blue hair fluttered in the morning breeze as her hands gripped the stone railing. She lowered her gaze, staring down at the heartbreaking scene below. Her azure eyes were filled with pain and sorrow.

"If it were possible..." she whispered to herself, her voice almost scattered by the wind. "I would never want this war to happen."

But Koza and Ganyu were right.

This civil war was not merely a rebellion; it was the total eruption of all the contradictions piled up over three years—drought, suspicion, rumors, and despair. Passionate words and a few pleas could not stop this torrent.

Unless there was a miracle.

A miracle that could extinguish the anger, nourish the parched land, and allow everyone to regain hope.

"Princess Vivi."

A steady male voice came from behind, interrupting her thoughts.

Vivi turned around.

Standing there was a tall man dressed in a white robe and a traditional white headscarf. His face was resolute, his eyes sharp as a hawk's. It was Pell, the Vice Commander of the Alabasta Royal Guard, known as "Pell the Falcon."

" The agreed time has arrived," Pell said, bowing slightly. His voice was respectful but carried a sense of urgency.

Vivi took a deep breath, suppressing the sorrow in her eyes. She nodded, then took a step forward, looking directly at Pell with an almost pleading tone.

"Pell, I'm counting on you."

"Find Ganyu and tell her... the battle is about to begin."

Pell straightened his body and pressed his right hand heavily against his chest. "As you command, Princess."

Then, he leaped into the air, rapidly transforming into a brown falcon mid-flight, flapping his wings and soaring into the distance. Pell was a Devil Fruit user who had eaten the Tweet-Tweet Fruit, Model: Falcon, making him one of the few people in Alabasta capable of flight.

Yesterday, after discussing with Ganyu and Koza in the Rebel Army's tent, they had agreed that on the morning of the battle, Ganyu would personally bring down the rain that Alabasta had not seen for three years.

The rest would be left to her, her father King Cobra, and the Rebel leader Koza. With a heavy downpour, they would finally have a chance to quell the nation's turmoil.

To ensure nothing went wrong, Vivi had returned to the capital from Katorea overnight, specifically to send Pell to notify Ganyu early.

.....

About half an hour later.

Rainbase was not far from the capital. Although the Sandora River lay between them, Pell, with his flight ability, crossed the river and arrived in the vicinity of Rainbase in just thirty minutes.

His eyes were exceptionally sharp. After circling half a lap above Rainbase, he spotted two battlefields.

"This commotion... is this really just a few people fighting?"

Pell was shaken to his core.

There were two battlefields below. One was filled with flames and white smoke, making it nearly impossible to see the figures inside, though Pell's falcon eyes could make out two silhouettes.

The other battlefield was even more terrifying. Ice-blue frost and overwhelming yellow sand clashed, engulfing and ravaging more than half the city. Even a natural disaster would look no different than this.
