A golden character card—
And the person who appeared this time was completely beyond his expectations.
It was a man wearing a tight-fitting black T-shirt, made tight only because of his burly frame.
He wore gray pants with a black belt cinched around his waist, and simple black slip-on shoes like the kind worn by old men.
His hair was black, his skin was pale, and his eyes were filled with wanton defiance. A vertical scar tugged at the corner of his lips, twisting his smirk into one that mocked all who dared overestimate themselves.
Compared to the other golden character cards, this man's appearance was plain to the point of forgettable—at a glance, you might not even recognize who he was.
But just standing there, he exuded a terrifying sense of pressure and presence.
And the moment Kaien saw him, he instantly knew who it was.
—The Heavenly Tyrant, Toji Fushiguro.
That's right! The "Heavenly Tyrant" from Jujutsu Kaisen—Toji Fushiguro.
Born Toji Zen'in, a member of the prestigious Zen'in Clan from the Jujutsu world, he was ostracized for being born without cursed energy. After leaving the clan, he married into the Fushiguro family.
A professional sorcerer killer.
He possessed a natural cursed restriction known as Heavenly Restriction—because he was born without cursed energy, in exchange, he gained a peerless physical body and absurd athletic talent. His five senses were enhanced to a monstrous degree.
With his sharpened touch, smell, and hearing, Toji could perceive the movement of curses without even relying on his eyes. These enhanced senses made him more accurate than even Observation Haki from One Piece—after all, Haki required active concentration, whereas Toji's abilities were entirely passive.
If Yoriichi was the pinnacle of swordsmanship, then Toji was the pinnacle of raw physicality.
He appeared twice in Jujutsu Kaisen—once nearly killing the strongest sorcerer, Gojo Satoru, and once during the Shibuya Incident, where even with only a fraction of his power from when he was alive, he effortlessly crushed the special-grade cursed spirit Dagon.
In the end, upon recognizing his son Megumi Fushiguro, he took his own life to avoid hurting him in a rampage.
"Yes!! You're the best, Lady Luck!!"
Seeing that he had pulled Toji Fushiguro from the golden character card, Kaien jumped up in excitement.
As expected from a golden character card—not a single disappointment so far.
Having received a new card, Kaien couldn't resist trying it out immediately.
"Full Take Over: Ace!!"
Kaien first received Ace, one of his long-time favorite characters.
Freckles appeared on Kaien's cheeks, an orange cowboy hat materialized atop his head, and he now wore black shorts. A tattoo of the Whitebeard Pirates' emblem showed clearly on his back, along with a variety of accessories.
Memories of Ace began flooding into his mind.
Taken in by Garp and raised by Dadan, Ace grew up with Sabo and Luffy as sworn brothers.
At seventeen, he set out to sea and founded the Spade Pirates, defeating one of the Seven Warlords known as the "Lizard King" Hazar. He was invited to become a new Warlord of the Sea but turned it down out of pride.
Passing through Wano, he clashed with Yamato, daughter of Kaido, before challenging Whitebeard, the strongest man in the world. After his defeat, Ace was moved by Whitebeard's strength and charisma, joining his crew and becoming the Second Division Commander.
After learning that Blackbeard had murdered the Fourth Division Commander Thatch, Ace—enraged—chased him down despite warnings.
He lost the fight, was captured and publicly sentenced to execution.
This triggered Whitebeard's war, as he led his grand fleet to rescue Ace—thus beginning the Battle of Marineford.
In the end, Ace died protecting his brother from Akainu.
'What a tragic man...'
Kaien sighed after seeing Ace's memories.
To the world government, anyone who disobeyed their rule was labeled a pirate.
But in truth, the world of One Piece was simple—everyone was a pirate.
And the world government? The biggest pirates of them all.
Kaien raised his hand.
Fwoosh—!
His entire arm transformed into blazing flame. If he wanted, he could unleash a massive Fire Fist just like Ace.
But... it was nighttime.
And he was a man of culture. So, maybe not.
Fwoosh!
His whole body ignited, turning into fire, and he soared out the window, then reformed midair.
"So this... is the ability of a Logia-type Devil Fruit user?"
Kaien was thrilled, flying around the yard like a kid.
Back when he watched One Piece, he had dreamed of eating a Devil Fruit.
Especially a powerful Logia-type fruit.
He never imagined that dream would come true in such a wild way. In a sense, this was a childhood wish fulfilled.
Though Ace was only a purple-tier character card, in some areas, his strength wasn't inferior to gold-tier characters.
Unless absolutely necessary, Kaien had no intention of recycling this card.
After playing around for a while, Kaien finally had his fill and reverted to his original form.
"Nice! Very nice!"
He was extremely satisfied with Ace's character card.
He might even use it as his main battle card going forward—after all, golden cards consumed far too much power.
The purple-tier cards were far more manageable in comparison.
Then, Kaien turned his eyes to the golden card—Toji Fushiguro.
Now this… this was the real deal.
"Full Take Over: Toji Fushiguro!!!"
Kaien immediately felt his magical energy being drained at a staggering rate, while his physical strength surged in ways that defied logic.
His appearance began to change.
This transformation was simple: he now wore Toji's outfit, and his face became a perfect fusion of Kaien and Toji—half and half.
This fusion face was standard for all his character takes.
It was also why Erza couldn't recognize that Yoriichi in the arena was actually Kaien.
Toji's memories began streaming into Kaien's mind—dark memories, filled with killing and blood.
As a sorcerer killer, his methods were terrifying—so brutal, Kaien felt his heart race just watching them.
The memories filtered through rapidly, ending on the moment Toji took his own life in front of his son Megumi.
Kaien clenched his fists.
"So strong… this is the body of the Heavenly Tyrant?"
His body now radiated extreme physical power. A confidence surged within him—one he didn't feel even when he took in Ulquiorra or Yoriichi.
Ulquiorra's power came from spiritual pressure and the body of a Vasto Lorde-class Hollow.
Yoriichi's strength came from supreme swordsmanship.
But Toji—he was pure physical prowess incarnate.
Kaien felt like he could punch a bull into paste—literally, not metaphorically.
Energy overflowed through every fiber of his being.
He stretched.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Every bone in his body popped with satisfying force.
"Let's test it out."
