With [Overclock] activated, Zen was ready to activate [rewind] any time. Nevertheless, even escaping was impossible before the three monsters before him.
As Zen expected - Boss began speaking about the Chameleon troupe without hiding anything.
Zen could only act serious while she and Jain went on about their organisation's greatness - thinking that Zen might not have much knowledge about the underworld yet.
Sometimes Zen's mind would start wandering, listening to Boss's serious speech.
'Why did Zech like Boss again? I can't understand....she might be beautiful but that's it in the end. Because she was an airhead?'
Zech did like that type - Zen on the other hand liked capable women who were willing to be his pawn...
It wasn't that Zen couldn't feel love - he actually felt it very commonly.
He loved destroying his opponents.
He loved how amazing it felt stealing from others.
He loved the satisfaction he felt from fulfilling his evil urges.
It was these base feelings that made him who he was.
Externally, Zen nodded his head at Boss as if he understood.
"So your goal is to destroy the [Pandemonium] and rule the underworld as in the past?" Zen folded his hands as if contemplating.
"That's right~ isn't it quite fun? Knowing you, I feel you will fit in perfectly into the Chameleon troupe~." Jain waved around her hands as if showing how exciting it would be.
She felt Zen Shigaraki was a bad choice, but she decides not to worry seeing Boss so interested in him. Worrying was so not like her, after all~
Cheok Jungyeong didn't show much interest, He was more interested in challenging this arena. He was already informed about everything they knew about Zen Shigaraki before.
Not just him, but all the members of the Chameleon troupe were informed about this new candidate.
They would hold a voting ceremony once Zen completed the mission Boss gave him.
"Well... about what you said yesterday, the underground arena..."
Boss cut Zen off: "We will take care of the pest in here and hand this.... playground to you once done. However, before that, you will have to take care of Pyrox by yourself."
"Understood, Boss."
The boss nodded, satisfied listening to Zen's serious reply.
Unexpectedly, even after coming to an agreement - Boss and the others stuck around in the underground arena.
Zen could already hear about Cheok Jungyeong rampaging in the arena and killing everywhere.
'Exposing themselves so openly...Well, they will take care of [Pandemonium] even if the enemy is prepared.'
Not wasting his time, Zen began signing in for battles again.
50 consecutive victories were needed to challenge the Pyrox. He was not very far from the goal.
....
12th April,
A day later - Zen Shigaraki dismissed all his subordinates and calmed down his nerves.
What excited him wasn't fighting - but the process of crushing his opponents and that was exactly what he would do next.
[50 consecutive victories] - the panel floated above Zen's head brightly.
After much information gathering done by his subordinates, it was known that a promotion match for platinum rank was a group fight.
In other words - [Dark society] vs [Pyrox] as a whole.
From the information Byran gathered, Pyrox has 18 members and all of them are djinn.
Zen decided to do it alone, his subordinates would just get in his way, he wanted to go all out this time.
[Rewind] didn't just reset his physique but his being as a whole. His mana would keep getting reset too - in other words, unlimited mana.
With useful gifts like [Ascension] - Zen could enhance all of his attacks by 40% and he could try out [reality manipulation] without holding back - it really consumed too much mana.
[Reality manipulation] [evolving - grade 8] [Exp 35%]
Zen could easily push a grade 8 [gift] to 7 within two days. However, he couldn't do so with [Reality manipulation] due to its heavy mana consumption. His grinding mindset most definitely came from Zech.
Having already applied for a challenge against [Pyrox] in the reception, Zen just waited now.
After an hour, a notification flashed before Zen's eyes quickly.
[Your promotion challenge has been scheduled in 2 hours.]
[Royal battle stage has been allocated to B3 arena. Please attend within the scheduled time, player [All for one].]
Not just Zen, every last person present in the underground arena got a notification of this match.
A platinum rank challenge - something that happened rarely and gathered attention from almost everyone.
"..... You seem calm."
"...!!" Zen almost felt his heart jump out of his body. He only calmed down after seeing it was Boss.
This artificial dungeon couldn't constraint Boss's movement - she could most definitely go to any base she pleased in the underground arena.
"I won't lose." Zen replied back confidently.
Boss appeared to be contemplating over something. After much waiting, she brought her gaze back to Zen.
"Did you cause the 'demolition incident'?" Boss's voice was serious, she even brought a relic to check if Zen would lie.
"Yeah....but it wasn't really my intention to do so." Zen answered back.
The past Zen of this world caused it, so he didn't exactly lie in any way.
After checking the relic hanging on her neck - Boss smiled with satisfaction. The newbie before her didn't lie and she felt like Zen's past was similar to hers.
After joining the Chameleon troupe, Boss too caused quite a huge incident killing thousands of people.
Kwang-Oh Incident.
".... Don't use such power in the arena if you are going to lose....Jain will rescue you." Boss said slowly before vanishing into the shadow.
'Did I win a few favourability points there? I wonder how many favourability points I will need to turn her into a loyal dog...'
Zen thought while taking off his favourite suit and switching it with some normal t-shirt and pants.
In the upcoming battle - his low rank suit wouldn't be able to survive. Even with self-repair, it couldn't repair itself if totally destroyed.
Using his status window, Zen selected his match and decided to teleport into the stage to check it out.
Unlike single player battles - which were like gladiator fights from the Roman arenas. Battle royals have different terrain of their own for each arena.
[Welcome, Player [All for one]. Your match will start soon...]
Swiping away the notification, Zen Shigaraki found himself standing in the middle of a dilapidated road.
The houses around him were similar to rural areas, with all of them appearing worn out and broken in many places.
After a look around - Zen didn't find any toll building - which could be used to snipe him.
[B3 arena - the abandoned village.]
[The broadcast will start in approximately 30 minutes.]
