Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 Umbrella Girl

Elysia looked at the photos hanging on the wall of March 7th's room.

Her gaze shifted between the snowy landscapes of Belobog and the cloudy seas of Xianzhou, and she couldn't help but exclaim in wonder:

"Belobog... and Xianzhou, they both look like wonderful places. If I get the chance, I'll definitely go there to livestream for everyone!"

March 7th stood by her side, smiling and nodding:

"Mhm, they're really great. A lot of people in the livestream chat are very friendly."

She paused, then added,

"If Miss Elysia has the chance to go, she should be very popular and will definitely be able to livestream smoothly."

"Mhm mhm, I'll look forward to it~ ♪"

Elysia's gaze fell on a particularly tricky-angled photo—it was taken from a diagonal overhead angle, perfectly framing a running March 7th and Stelle.

"But... some of these photos have such tricky angles. How exactly were they taken? Could you share?"

March 7th scratched her head a little awkwardly; she herself had never quite figured it out.

"Well... hehe, it might have been an accident."

March 7th explained vaguely, after all, she couldn't very well say she didn't know either.

Just then, Stelle, who was standing nearby, suddenly spoke up. She grabbed March 7th's camera and said with certainty:

"The camera definitely took it itself!"

Elysia was amused, she took the camera and fiddled with it a few times:

"Mhm, that seems to make some sense~ Though not much~"

She didn't take it too seriously and casually handed the camera back to March 7th.

Eden hadn't said much the entire time; she was originally just accompanying Elysia on this outing.

Recently, a desire for songwriting had been stirring within her, and she hoped to find some fresh inspiration through this experience, so she had been quietly watching the constantly changing photos on the wall, her eyes filled with contemplation...

Elysia walked over to Eden, tugged her hand, then turned to March 7th and suggested with a smile:

"Oh, Eden, look how good the lighting is here... March 7th, could you take a picture for us?"

March 7th's eyes lit up, and she immediately nodded:

"Of course! How about in the observation car? The panoramic window there offers the entire starry sky as a background, so the photos should turn out great."

...The group arrived at the observation car. As soon as they walked in, March 7th saw Black Swan sitting by the window and quickly greeted her:

"Oh, Miss Black Swan, you're finally back!"

Black Swan looked up at the sound, a gentle smile on her face, and stood up and walked over:

"Mhm, I came back after finishing my work."

Her gaze fell on Elysia, and she nodded slightly,

"Miss Elysia, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Hello there~ Miss Black Swan, it's a pleasure to meet you too~"

Elysia smiled brightly, like a blooming flower.

Black Swan then looked at Eden, her tone carrying a hint of admiration:

"This must be Miss Eden, also a pleasure."

Eden nodded slightly, her voice soft:

"Mhm, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Miss Eden's remarks in the livestream chat are few, but always memorable."

Black Swan looked at her, her eyes sincere,

"It's clear that Miss Eden has a remarkably profound understanding of art."

"It's nothing..."

Eden gently shook her head, her tone calm and gentle,

"I was just a singer once; now I'm just an ordinary person."

Black Swan smiled and didn't argue further:

"You jest."

"Alright, alright~"

Elysia noticed the atmosphere was getting a bit serious and quickly intervened,

"It's rare for everyone to be together, so... how about we all take a picture together?"

This suggestion was immediately met with enthusiasm.

March 7th held the camera and first took a few pictures of Elysia and Eden.

In the lens, Elysia intimately held Eden's arm, with the flowing galaxy behind them. Their figures, one bright and one dim, were captured in the camera, like a moving painting.

Next, Elysia called over Stelle, Himeko, and Welt. The few of them gathered together, striking various poses for the camera. Stelle stood at the very edge, her mouth wide in a grin.

Himeko crossed her arms, a faint smile on her face.

Welt stood in the middle, his expression gentle... Since Mei, Kevin, and Dan Heng weren't present, they could only take a photo like this for now.

Finally, March 7th set up a timed shot, placed the camera on a tripod, and everyone quickly gathered in a circle—Elysia and Eden stood in the middle, Stelle next to March 7th, Himeko and Welt on the other side, and Black Swan was also pulled in.

The shutter clicked, preserving this moment of liveliness and warmth forever in the photograph.

March 7th flipped through the photos in the camera, then suddenly, as if gathering great courage, looked up at Elysia, a hint of shyness on her face:

"Um... Miss Elysia, I actually have an impolite request."

"What is it?"

Elysia blinked, her smile still bright,

"You can tell me anything~"

"I saw you used that butterfly to restore the memories of that older sister named Hua before..."

March 7th's voice grew softer and softer,

"So I wanted to see... if I could too..."

After she finished speaking, she chuckled awkwardly. In truth, her obsession with recovering her memories wasn't that deep; she just wanted to try when she saw an opportunity.

Even Black Swan hadn't noticed anything, and she herself didn't hold much hope.

"Oh my~ Does little March 7th also have lost memories?"

Elysia was a little surprised.

Stelle then said,

"I do too, actually."

"Then... how about we do it together?"

Elysia clapped her hands, saying cheerfully.

March 7th's eyes lit up, and she quickly nodded:

"Then I'll trouble Miss Elysia."

"It's no trouble at all~ ♪"

Elysia took out the Butterfly Dream, its wings glowing faintly,

"A beautiful maiden would never refuse the request of other beautiful maidens, you know~"

Black Swan looked at the butterfly, opening her mouth as if to say something.

But in the end, she swallowed her words, just watching quietly.

But just as Elysia was about to wave the butterfly, allowing March 7th and Stelle to enter a dream of memories, an inexplicable power descended without warning.

Elysia's movements paused, the butterfly in her hand already beginning to flap its wings, emitting a faint halo of light.

But the next second, something strange happened—the people around, whether it was March 7th who was eagerly anticipating, or Welt and Himeko who stood by.

Even Black Swan, who had just been about to speak, all seemed to have been put on pause, falling motionless into a state of stillness, even the expressions on their faces frozen.

"Eden?"

Elysia subconsciously looked at her side, a hint of alarm in her voice.

"Mhm, I'm still here, Elysia."

Eden's voice sounded beside her. She was also frowning, clearly a bit puzzled by the current situation,

"It seems... only we haven't been affected."

Just then, a girl holding an umbrella appeared behind Elysia at some unknown point. She reached out, her fingers gently tapping the fluttering butterfly.

The girl spoke, her voice almost identical to March 7th's, but her tone was much colder, carrying a calmness unsuited for her age:

"This thing is truly strange; it looks unremarkable, yet it possesses such a function."

She paused, her gaze sweeping over the frozen crowd, a hint of an imperceptible warning in her tone,

"But no matter what, you shouldn't do this. There's a price to pay"
