Chapter 183 - The Approaching Storm

Gabriel changed into her clothes and looked at Jhin with admiring eyes. "You really have courage, to actually take the initiative to prank Raphiel."

"Why? Would Raphiel get angry over something this small?"

"That wouldn't happen..." Gabriel had never seen Raphiel angry in her memory, but she knew Raphiel's black-bellied nature very well. Being doodled on by Jhin—she would definitely find a chance to retaliate after waking up. Out of a psychology of sharing a common enemy, Gabriel did not plan to remind Jhin to be careful of Raphiel; she was ready to watch the show.

"Then that's fine." Jhin shrugged fearlessly. He himself was a substitute user; would he really be afraid of Raphiel finding a chance to doodle on him?

Satania regretted that she hadn't written something on Raphiel's face together with Jhin. Usually, she was pranked quite often by the other party at school. Having missed this good opportunity, she wondered if she would ever be able to get even with Raphiel again.

Gabriel held the back of her head with both hands, following lazily behind Jhin. "Where are we going?"

"Let's go check on the others first, shall we?"

"Hmm? You came to see me first?" The corners of Gabriel's mouth rose slightly.

As expected, he still cares about me, his best friend, more!

Jhin did not deny it and nodded. "Yes, mainly I was curious that you angels and devils actually get seasick, so I came to take a look."

Take back the preface; Jhin is a huge insensitive jerk.

Gabriel narrowed her eyes, wishing she could fire lasers from them to pierce through this heartless and unjust guy, Jhin.

"Satania, your luggage isn't entirely filled with comic books and prank items, is it?"

"Hahahaha, h-h-how is that possible," Satania started with a shock, then laughed while stuttering. "I am not that kind of Devil who only thinks about playing."

"Exactly. Satania only brought two boxes of comic books and four boxes of prank items; she still properly brought a change of clothes."

"That's right, that's right." Satania nodded in agreement, then realized Gabriel was tearing down her platform. Her nose crooked with anger. "Gabriel, how do you know these things!? Did you secretly rifle through my luggage?"

"Isn't the luggage all with Jhin? How could I go through it? Besides, you told us these things yourself personally in the bedroom."

Gabriel disdainfully dodged Satania, who was coming over to fight her for her life, and lifted her right foot to kick her specifically on the butt, causing the unstable Satania to let out an "Ouch" and fall to the ground.

"You two, stop messing around." Jhin helped Satania up. Her small nose was red from the fall, and tears were seeping from the corners of her eyes. "Satania, are you alright?"

Satania covered her nose and stood up stubbornly, speaking in a muffled voice. "I'm fine."

Seeing she wasn't injured, Jhin gave the two a few more instructions before leading them to the front of a room.

"Nymph, Kazuki, Yumiko, Michiru, are you guys okay?"

"Brother, I have no problem, but the rest are in a state of severe seasickness."

Nymph was sitting quietly at the desk reading a book, while the other three lay silently on the beds. It seemed they were so uncomfortable they didn't even want to speak.

Jhin hoped they could break free from this uncomfortable state, but he was powerless to help. He could only ask the little angel, "Nymph, do you have any method to let them break free from seasickness?"

"Brother, motion sickness is mainly a series of physiological reactions caused by the human body's incorrect perception of motion status. To solve this symptom from the root, I'm afraid one needs to start with the various sensory organs of the human body. Currently, the company's technology has not developed in this direction."

"So I am sorry, I also do not have any method."

"It doesn't matter; this isn't a big problem either. They can only rely on themselves to forcibly adapt." Jhin comforted Nymph, who was a bit downcast because she couldn't help.

Walking out of the room, Satania finally realized that she and Gabriel seemed to have done nothing. "Jhin, why are we just watching from the side?"

"Isn't that quite good? Do you want to work that much?" Gabriel only regretted not sealing Satania's mouth.

How can there be someone who refuses to slack off properly and insists on actively looking for work to do?

"You guys don't have magic or divine magic that can solve seasickness either, right?"

If such a thing truly existed, Vignette and Raphiel wouldn't be lying like corpses on the bed; they would have used it on themselves long ago. Why would they suffer this misery for nothing?

Vignette, who is written as Devil but read as Angel, might even think of ways to use such magic on the other girls to liberate them from the pain of seasickness as well.

If it were Gabriel... she would one hundred percent charge money, right?

Jhin felt the probability of this situation occurring was at least fifty or sixty percent.

The three of them then went to the other girls' rooms. Komine Sachi was in a room with Kato Megumi, Kasumigaoka Utaha, and Eriri. Suou Amane, Irisu Makina, Ryo, and Nijika lived together. Tamaki Mari and her group, the four of them, were unshakably in the same room.

Unsurprisingly, all members were lying on their beds with pale faces, weakly shuttling between the bedroom and the toilet. It felt like they were about to vomit out their bile.

"Hey~" Kanae Maekawa jogged all the way over from the end of the corridor. "Jhin, we are fast approaching the Antarctic Current. It seems the things in your rooms haven't been secured yet."

"Why do we need to secure things when approaching the Antarctic Current?"

Kanae Maekawa patiently explained to Satania, "After entering the range of the Antarctic Current, the sea breeze and waves will become very large, constantly impacting the ship's hull. We will be like we are riding a roller coaster; our internal organs will turn over. That is why we must secure the items, to avoid being hit and injured or causing accidents when the time comes."

"So it's like that. Jhin, let's hurry back to the room."

"Don't rush. Let's follow the route we came and help the other girls secure the things in their rooms. It's difficult for them to do such things in their current weak state."

"Then I'll trouble you with that. I still have to go check the situation in other places." Kanae Maekawa came in a rush and left in a rush.

After Jhin finished busywork with the other people's rooms, only then did he return to his own room to secure the table and other small objects. Kita Ikuyo and Hitori Gotoh still had bitter expressions on their small faces even though they were asleep. He didn't wake them up; they had managed to fall asleep with great difficulty to temporarily escape the pain brought by seasickness. If they were woken up, that would be too pitiful.

Jhin closed the door properly, lay back on the bed, and closed his eyes. He had been busy doing quite a few things today, so he planned to rest early.

What woke Jhin from his daze were two tender bodies suddenly drilling into his blanket, sandwiching him in the middle like a cookie with four hands in a front-and-back pincer attack.

Jhin's eyes instantly became clear.

The moon is dark and the wind is high; 'tis the night for murder. What are you two heroines planning to do?
