Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The City of Shadows and The Sacred Pact

The morning in Konoha Village was exceptionally beautiful. Sunbeams filtering through the tall mountains bathed the cherry blossom trees in a golden light. The aroma of freshly cooked ramen drifted through the streets, and the view outside the orphanage window looked like a tranquil painting.

Four-year-old Naruto Uzumaki rested his small hands on the window frame. His blue eyes took in the beauty of the village. Beneath his tiny body, the consciousness of Dev was fully awake—an soul reincarnated from the sacred land of India, carrying memories of the Vedas, the Gita, the Ramayana, and modern cultural knowledge into this shinobi world.

Dev's anime-loving heart was genuinely mesmerized by the natural beauty of this world, the elemental energies, and the grand allure of the shinobi system.

"Are you seeing this, Kurama? How beautiful this village looks from the outside," Naruto conversed within his mindscape.

Inside his mindscape, behind the massive iron gates, the giant Nine-Tailed Demon Fox stared at the four-year-old child with his crimson eyes.

"Hmph... The beauty outside is merely a facade created by cowards, brat," Kurama's heavy, echoing voice resonated.

Kurama still remembered the night this child was born—the bloody night of his rampage. As Kurama was being sealed, instead of crying in terror like a normal baby, the newborn had opened his blue eyes. Seeing the soul of a reincarnated yogi in an infant's body had stunned Kurama. He had seen neither fear nor hatred in those eyes—only absolute peace and profound stillness.

On that very night, infant Naruto had initiated his first conversation with Kurama. Using his reincarnated foresight (future knowledge), Naruto revealed the truth about what lay ahead: the 'Second Madara with the Sharingan' (Obito), the Akatsuki's schemes, and the plot to enslave the Tailed Beasts once again. Kurama instantly realized that this child was his only hope for true safety. If he ever broke free of this body, 'Madara 2' would simply turn him into a puppet again.

That afternoon, on the orders of the Third Hokage, the orphanage caretakers handed Naruto a key and directed him to a dilapidated apartment on the outskirts of the village. At just four years old, he was left to live entirely on his own.

Naruto slung his small bag over his shoulder and stepped onto the main street of the village.

As he reached the central market square, the village's beautiful facade fell away. A fruit vendor, who had been smiling warmly at a customer just a moment prior, instantly filled his eyes with disgust upon spotting Naruto.

"The demon child..."

"Why did they let him out of the orphanage?"

Mothers pulled their children away in fear.

"They fear you and hate you," Kurama grunted.

"They don't fear me, Kurama, they fear you," Naruto replied calmly in his mind as he walked at a measured pace. "And their fear is manifesting as hatred and lies. As the Great Gurus of Shaktimaan said in my past life's memories—Fear is the mother of darkness."

Suddenly, a heavy silence fell over the street. Shinobi from the Uchiha Police Force came patrolling down the road, the red-and-white fan emblem gleaming on their backs.

The villagers quickly stepped aside. The same vendors who were glaring at Naruto just moments ago now bowed with fake, obsequious smiles—"Greetings, Uchiha-sama."

Yet, the moment the Uchiha shinobi passed, Naruto overheard two citizens whispering behind their backs—"Arrogant crows! Acting like they own the village. Best to stay away from them."

Naruto observed this contradiction through the lens of his reincarnated wisdom. The Uchiha were drunk on power yet secretly terrified of the village's mistrust, while the villagers pretended to respect them out of fear while spitting venom behind their backs. This entire society was built on a foundation of lies born from fear.

Naruto stepped into his quiet, empty apartment. He cleaned the dust from the floor and sat down in deep meditation, keeping his spine perfectly straight. He began his pranayama and Demon Slayer's Total Concentration Breathing.

When such intense vital energy and chakra surged through a four-year-old's body, his chakra network experienced massive fluctuations. If any sensor ninja or the Hokage picked up on this, they would immediately become suspicious.

However, inside the mindscape, Kurama flicked his massive tails.

Unlike in the canon timeline—where Kurama disrupted Naruto's chakra control—here he was completely cooperative. Kurama formed an invisible barrier of energy around Naruto's body, masking and absorbing every bit of chakra leak within himself.

To any Anbu shinobi watching from the outside, Naruto appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary, helpless four-year-old boy. Meanwhile, on the inside, he was refining his power like a master yogi.

"Focus on your sadhana without worry, brat," Kurama said, closing his eyes inside his cage. "As long as I am with you, no shinobi in this village will detect your secret training. We will make you so powerful before 'Madara 2' arrives that no one will ever be able to bend you to their will."

Naruto opened his bright blue eyes, radiating the intense aura of a Rajarshi.

"Thank you, Kurama. Together, we will eradicate both the fear and the lies of this world. The Era of Truth begins right here."

The discipline of a reincarnated warrior, the secret protection of Kurama, and the grand crusade for truth had now officially begun.
