Ryan woke up the next morning when light rays kissed his face. Rising up, he rubbed his eyes.
"That...was an ... awesome night" his voice came out "Sleep felt so good" he stretched, turning to his side. He found Ari asleep, and he arranged himself to stare at her. Balancing his head on his knuckles which rested on the pillow. She was sleeping without a care in the world. More like a baby. He smiled.
Five minutes.....Ten minutes..... Fifteen minutes....
His eyes hasn't left her face. His smile never disappeared. And she hasn't opened her eyes.
Just how beautiful she is. He wrong when he said only the three women in his life were beautiful. Aria is really beautiful. Maybe he saw it before, he couldn't tell.
Who would have thought that he would fall first? He would fall harder. With a thump, thump....he fell for her. Her smile drew him, her eyes enchanted him, her presence soothes him. And now he has falling. And he's still falling...and falling....in the endless pit of love. He smiled.
Arianna hummed and stirred in her sleep. Sounded like music to his ears. Even when she's asleep, she still attractive. He blew air onto her face. Her brows creased, her eyes fluttered, and then it opened. Only to be locked in Ryan's.
One second... Two seconds... Three seconds.... She blinked
"Mr Han?" her voice came.
"Good morning, cutie" Ryan said
"G-good... morning, Mr Han" she stuttered "How long have you been.... staring at me?"
"I've lost count" he said. That smile never leaving his face.
Arianna just stared at him, dumbstruck. As well as being awestruck at his beauty. He looked more beautiful this morning. And the bruise on his lip was no longer there. Where did it go?
Ryan lifted his hand and touched her cheek, caressing it gently. Her lips parted, her cheeks grew red slowly at his warm touch. Why is it always warm?
"Mr Han....."
"Stop calling me that" he cut her off.
"It's your name...."
"It's not. I have a name" he said "Call me by name, Aria. I want to hear you say it"
Arianna rose up, giving a little space between them "But...."
"Say it now!" he ordered.
Gulping down the lump in her throat, she opened her mouth, but no words came out. It felt scared.
"Say my name" he said.
"R... R--ryan" her voice was barely heard.
"Again!"
"Ryan"
Ryan smiled. "Sounds nice when it's coming from you." he said.
Arianna stared at him "When you...went out yesterday....did you hit your head?" She asked out of the blue.
Ryan's smile disappeared "What?"
"You came back last night weak to your bones like a drenched lost puppy...." his brows twitched "...and this morning I wake up to your smiling face. And then you hold my cheek, and asking me to call you by your name. All this have never happened with you" she blurted
"Are you sure you're okay?"
Ryan inhaled "I wonder" he smiled
Arianna turned her face to the other side, not wanting to look at him, she bit her lips. Ryan rose up as well, and continued staring at her. She grew nervous, couldn't meet his eyes.
Ryan held her chin and turned her face to him. Slowly, he leaned forward, eyes on her lips. Her eyes had grown a little wide as he drew closer. She pressed her lips into a thin line, and closed her eyes. Her breath unevened, her heart racing.
Ryan leaned back with a frown "Why did you do that?" he asked, irked.
"Y-You wanted to kiss me" she said, opening her eyes slowly.
"So? Why can't I do that?"
"Because... you're not okay. You'll regret it once your senses are back" she gulped.
"Really?" He raised a brow.
"Yes"
"Okay" he said "I'll do what insane people do then"
He leaned forward again, planting a kiss on her cheek. He leaned back, gazing at her.
"Is this insane?" he asked and kissed her other cheek. Moving slowly to her neck, her kissed a spot and then pulled away . She forgot how speak, she only stared with racing heart, feeling tingles in her stomach. All she thought of was to run away from this devil.
She inched backwards and Ryan kept moving forward with a mischievous look on his eyes. Hastily, she got down but he was quick to grab her hand and she shrieked at the pain she felt.
"Where are you going?" he asked
"It hurts" was what he got as an answer. Her her glistened with tears.
Ryan looked at her hand, and that's when he saw it. Her hand was red and somehow swollen.
"What happened to your hand?" he asked with all worries in his voice.
"Ah... Yesterday I was cooking and..."
"You were cooking?!"
"Yes... So accidentally I spilled hot water water on my hand...."
Ryan cursed out loud and she shuddered "Why would you cook, huh?!"
"I wanted to...."
"Aish!!" he cursed. "I clearly instructed you not to get hurt! Why did you hurt yourself?!"
Her head lowered "it.... was a mistake"
"Where was Ms Jung when this happened?" he demanded.
"She....she was with me" Arianna replied.
"Oh.... and she let you cook and hurt yourself!" He turned to leave but she grabbed his arm.
"It wasn't her fault, it was mine. Please don't do anything to her" she pleaded.
Ryan stared at her for a while, before agreeing to her pleas.
"Does it hurt?" he asked
"A little" she replied.
He lifted his hand and brushed her hair "Do I have to take you everywhere with me to ensure your safety?" he spoke and she just stared.
"I don't want you hurting yourself. Stay away from whatever would would hurt you. Is that clear?"
"Yes... Mr Han"
Ryan frowned when she said that. He took a step forward and she inched back. He moved again and she move back with her eyes on the floor, until the wall blocked her path.
Ryan leaned forward, his breath fanning her face and she was already red.
"The next time you call me Mr Han....." He spoke ".... I'll kiss you a thousand times. No matter where we are" he smirked. Arianna stood there rooted to the ground. Her heart on a race, her face flushed, her breath unevened, her gaze on him.
"And remember... I still haven't returned that friendly kiss of yours. It might come today, just so you know"
Arianna bit her lips, wishing to be saved from his piercing gaze.
Ryan moved away from her. "I'll get ready first." He said and walked to the bathroom.
