Chapter 136 - Demigods

Outside Suramar City, a large number of demons surged forth. These chaotic, willful demons reveled in the scent of fear emanating from living beings, the panic before death, and the joy of tearing their prey to shreds in their desperate eyes, relishing the splash of blood and gore.

The rain of fire from the sky continued. Though fewer than the overwhelming Infernals at the beginning, hundreds of Infernals still fell every minute.

These extremely troublesome members of The Legion, relying on their natural resistance to arcane magic due to their meteoric nature, rampaged across the battlefield as if unopposed.

Wherever they went, they either trampled Kaldorei warriors underfoot or tore apart stable defensive lines, allowing subsequent members of The Legion to rush into the defenses and disrupt the rear.

If they could slaughter the mages and Worshipers of Elune priests, weakening the frontline's combat power, that would be even better.

If not for the need to use the power of the Well of Eternity to break the shackles set by Azshara, the current number of demons would double!

Even so, the overwhelming numbers of The Legion demons, with their surging masses, were a terrifying sight.

A Fel Guard raised his cleaver high, as an exhausted Kaldorei warrior lifted his shield to block.

But the riddled shield had already endured Fel magic bombardments. The moment the cleaver fell, empowered by immense force, the entire shield shattered with a crash, and both the man and his shield were cleaved in half.

Blood splattered, and yellow-white viscera sprayed across his face. Yet, the Fel Guard felt no disgust; instead, he revealed a sinister grin, a smile of extreme pleasure on his face.

The immediate sensation brought by death was so intense, so pleasurable. This was why chaotic and disorderly demons chose to join the Burning Legion.

Since they were all about destruction anyway, what was wrong with joining an organized, disciplined Legion with a powerful leader as their backing?

More slaughter continued. For every demon killed, two more would rush out.

If one fell on their side, that was truly one less combatant.

There was nothing they could do but hold on and endure.

Furthermore, Carosen's earlier erroneous command led to the collapse of the defensive line, causing many night elf warriors to be separated, forced to fight in places like hillsides and forests.

Even if they fought fearlessly, sacrificing themselves to take down one demon, an endless stream of demons would still follow.

When the demon army charged the subsequent defensive lines, the previously stable defenses instantly shattered, as the Infernal Giant recklessly rammed through with their massive bodies.

Mages had just prepared to cast spells, but an inexplicable turmoil erupted within their bodies, and flames actually burst forth from within!

Their docile mana transformed into scorching flames, burning them from the inside out. In this situation, even trying to defend was hardly possible.

They didn't know this was the racial talent of the Burning Legion's lowest-ranking Hellhound, an instinctive consumption of mana, especially arcane energy, burning mana to not only clear most of their mana pool but also to burn enemies.

It was just that these Hellhounds' casting range wasn't far, and it was also because the defensive line had been breached, allowing the Hellhounds to rush in in droves.

They targeted the backline, charging in. As long as they desperately eliminated the enemy's mage units, the remaining warriors would have little power to fight back against the Infernal Giant and other Fel Guards.

This was clearly orchestrated by a master strategist; this fellow must be very skilled in warfare!

Looking into the distance, Archimonde, only five meters tall, had somehow revived, with the familiar Mannoroth standing beside him.

This fellow was still alive, unexpectedly!

No matter, since he was alive, they would just kill him again.

Roar!

Just as everyone was losing their will, an earth-shattering roar of a wild boar echoed.

A wild boar?

Yes, a wild boar, a giant wild boar.

It stood fifty meters tall, its bristles erect, emitting a cold, sharp glint, like javelins standing on its back.

Whoosh!

The Wild God Agamaggan!

He pawed the ground a few times with his right hoof, then began to charge and sprint. With his colossal, mountain-like body, the ground shook violently.

Agamaggan charged into the demon army like a cannonball. The five to six-meter-tall Infernal Giant were directly sent flying, disintegrating in mid-air.

With one stomp of his wild boar hoof, three Fel Guards, along with their weapons, were crushed into a bloody pulp.

His bristles, as if they had eyes, shot out at his will, pinning the Hellhounds that were chasing and biting the mages to the ground.

Each bristle was a full three meters long, the width of an adult's arm, and incredibly sharp at the tip. They could be pulled out and used directly as spears, natural weapons!

"It's the Wild God Agamaggan!"

The priestesses of the Worshipers of Elune wept with joy at this sight. As those close to nature, they knew too well the power of the Wild Gods.

They never expected them to join the battle!

This was the Wild God Agamaggan, a powerful being even Cenarius was wary of.

Agamaggan charged relentlessly. Neither the highest-ranking Doomguards nor the high-ranking Felstalkers could stop his advance.

He forcefully cut through the battlefield from the side, creating a vacuum zone primarily composed of demon blood and remains.

The allied forces cheered, and their previously flagging fighting spirit reignited.

Roar!

Two successive roars, and this time, a pair of Furbolg Wild Gods appeared. These were the twin brothers Ursoc and Ursol, both Wild Gods.

The two Furbolg Wild God brothers charged in unison, unlike the pure physical strength of the Wild God Agamaggan.

These two brothers could use elemental power to enhance themselves; one was infused with lightning storms, and the other with scorching flames.

With every claw strike from Ursol, his massive body's suppression allowed him to crush Fel Guards to death. These were formidable foes that an elite night elf warrior could only defeat by fighting with all his might, yet now they were swatted down with a single blow!

The lightning turned them into roasted meat, and the arcing electricity caused the demons to let out painful groans, momentarily halting their charge.

Every claw strike from Ursoc carried elemental flames. Even if he didn't kill them, he could set the demons ablaze.

Even with Fel energy protecting them, he could suppress the Fel energy and directly crush them to death with the Wild God's pure physical strength!

This was a Wild God!

They didn't need flashy spells or skills; relying solely on pure physical strength combined with elemental aid, they could trample demons into a bloody pulp.

The charging demon army suddenly halted. Unbeknownst to them, the ground had cracked open, and a large number of vines appeared, coiling around them, rendering them immobile for a moment.

In the distance was a strange creature, half-man, half-stag, with antlers on its head. There was no need to be too surprised; this was the druids' teacher, and the Wild God revered by the night elves, Cenarius!

His appearance also meant that his father had arrived!
