As Gareth stared at the game-like interface in front of him, he couldn't help but open his mouth wide in surprise. What is this? Isn't this the system from those web novels?

It seems the Oracle in this world was just a fancy name for a system. Well, not like he was complaining. He actually had an all-powerful system that could help him gain power quickly.

'Wait. If I got this sys- Oracle when I became an Ardent, does that mean that other Ardent also possess it too?' He thought. If that was the truth, that meant it wasn't that special in the first place.

His dreams of becoming the main character and conquering the world with his system were dashed away just like that. However, he quickly got over it and began exploring it thoroughly.

Something immediately caught his eye. The bloodline panel. What he saw made his eyes bulge out in shock.

"Giant... I actually possess a giant's bloodline?" He muttered to himself, almost dazed.

"Wait, scratch that. Are there giants in this world?" He said incredulously, as if just comprehending the magnitude of what he was seeing.

With the hint from the Oracle, Gareht had just figured out that there were giants in this world. What did that mean for him? Well, it meant that if there were giants, what other races were there in this world?

"Ahh, damn it." He muttered to himself, almost cursing his firmer self for lack of proper knowledge of the world he lived in. However, he took a deep breath, calming his nerves.

'Well, no use getting annoyed. Besides, I already have permission to go to the library. I can learn everything I want in there.' He thought of comforting himself.

Now, back to the main point. This body he inhabited actually had the bloodline of a giant inside. It all made sense to him now how the former Gareth was able to continue mining for seven days with little sustenance.

Everyone had thought the boy was just tenacious, but the truth was that his bloodline was the real star. However, looking at the status [extremely weak] that was glaring at him, Gareth knew he couldn't receive much of a boost from his bloodline yet.

Still, it was probably much better than having the default human bloodline, right? He looked further down where he saw his rank and level.

"F Rank, huh." He muttered. It wasn't that surprising to him. He had just become an Ardent, so being at the bottom of the barrel was expected.

What intrigued him, though, was his level. Currently sitting at [0/50], he was a bit confused about what to do with it. Was it similar to those game systems where if he killed monsters, he would level up?

If so, how strong would the monsters have to be for him to level up? Has the Cultivation technique just become useless? Would leveling up help increase his bloodline? What happens when he reaches level 50?

So many questions, yet he didn't have the answer to any of them. He sighed and continued reading.

Looking at all his stats that were F+, he wasn't too surprised. With his giant bloodline, he was probably stronger than a normal human.

As for skills, he didn't have any yet. Even his short training with the spear was not enough to be counted as a skill. He hadn't learned how to infuse his mana into his attacks, so ot was understandable.

As for the last thing, which was titles, he only had one. A higher being was what the Oracle first called him when he became an Ardent.

It seemed it was the default title given to everyone. He didn't know what they were for just yet. Whether they had actual uses or were just there for decoration was yet to be seen.

After going through everything, Gareth let out a long sigh, trying to calm down after everything he had just read. This new world of his was far more dangerous than he had ever imagined, and he was just thrust into it without prior knowledge.

He had to get himself up to speed asap. With that, he got up and made his way out of his room. After asking a passing maid, he learned the location of the library and quickly made his way there.

The library was huge, with several rows of shelves filled with books. Luckily, the previous Gareth had learnt the basics of reading and writing from his parents before he passed.

If he hadn't, life would have become significantly harder for Gareth. He browsed through the shelves until he found a book titled " The History of Averinth Kingdom."

Perfect! This was exactly what he needed right now. He picked it up and made his way to a nearby desk and sat down, ready to delve into the book.

He was quite curious to learn about the history of this kingdom and how powerful it truly was.

For the next few hours, Gareth read through the book, gaining more knowledge than ever before. His reading was slow as he was only at the rudimentary level; however, he was able to persist.

Over time, it got easier, as he got more engrossed in the book. Gareht would have never imagined that he would find a history book interesting. However, that was the situation he found himself in.

What he learnt was quite enlightening to say the least. The Averinth kingdom was founded 1000 years ago by Alistair Averinth. It was a fairly small kingdom, with a few neighboring kingdoms.

He wanted to continue reading, but just as he glanced up at the clock, he saw that it was only a few minutes till eleven.

With a sigh, he could only close the book and return it to its shelf before going downstairs to train.
