The island shuddered as the light struck, flames erupting in a violent inferno, swallowing everything in a blinding surge of heat and smoke. Trees splintered, rocks vaporized, and the very ground cracked under the devastation.
Yet, even amidst the chaos, Orimo Kuzan stood, unharmed, a dark, demonic smile twisting his lips as if he had danced through the attack unscathed.
The navy warships reached the shore, and Sora Nithel, the Navy's second-in-command, stepped onto the scorched island. His boots crunched against ash as he was immediately confronted by Ryuki.
Ryuki's eyes glimmered, sharp as her twin swords.
"We meet again," she said, her aura flickering like violet lightning.
Sora let out a weary sigh.
"Only for you to run again?"
Ryuki smiled, a dangerous curve of her lips, drawing her blades in a flash.
"Not this time."
Meanwhile, Vice Commanders Wen rushed toward Orimo—but before they could react, Auransa's blade cut through the air, slashing Wen down in a crimson arc. Swish!
One by one, the navy troops spilled onto the island, the battlefield erupting into chaos.
Seraphel Dawn raised his hand, pointing a finger at Orimo.
"Finger Bullet!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Bullets of concentrated energy shot from his fingertip, some grazing Orimo. He screamed, steam hissing from his body, panting violently as the pain coursed through him.
Ryuki surged forward, her purple aura flaring violently, swords crossing in a deadly arc aimed at Sora's chest.
"Cross Slash!"
THUD!
Sora's blade met hers, a shower of sparks erupting as he blocked her strike with ease. In a blink, he was behind her, moving like liquid shadow, slashing across her chest. Swish!
Blood dripped from the wound, the air tinged with metallic scent. Sora's grin widened, cold and calculating, as he stood there, unyielding.
