The chirping of birds brightened the morning as Sana hummed her way to the park.
A week had passed since the incident at Airi's house. During that time, she had come to know Noah better.
Friendly, hardworking, and, strangely... paranoid. No matter how many times Sana told him there were no cartels or mafias; he didn't seem to listen. After she suggested he stay at her house and he rejected the idea, he had settled as a vagabond in a nearby park.
When Sana asked him why he was doing something so strange, he simply responded:
"—I don't have documents. If the police find me at your house, they'll send me to prison."
And he stayed on a bench, stubbornly.
Sana felt strange. "So, you can't stay at my house, but there's no problem with going to the motel every now and then?" she thought. However, she could only support the stubborn man with some food and essential items.
---
Today was visiting day, and Sana took advantage of the weekend to bring him something to eat and accompany him to shower at a motel. Of course, that wouldn't be the only thing they would do there.
Since they were together for the first time, she realized she had a quite high libido. That, combined with her growing curiosity to try new things, led her to do it with Noah frequently.
At that moment, she didn't quite understand what kind of relationship they had. But she didn't complain.
---
Soon, Sana arrived near Noah's "territory": a bench next to a fountain, surrounded by some scattered trees.
He didn't let anyone else approach, so she had jokingly dubbed the place his territory. She stopped for a few seconds and took out a small mirror to check her makeup.
"—Makeup, ready. Food, ready. Great!~" she murmured happily.
She had dressed in a very pretty outfit: a plaid miniskirt, white tights, and a low-cut sweater that highlighted her figure.
It was no surprise that several men tried to flirt with her on her way to the park. Although, of course, she was not interested, and the most insistent ones got a good dose of pepper spray.
With everything ready, she approached Noah with small jumps.
"—Kuuuma-chan! I'm here!" she exclaimed, hugging his broad back.
He nodded as he counted some bills.
Sana froze. Where had he gotten that money? Didn't he say he didn't have documents? Several ideas crossed her mind.
"—Kuma-chan, no... you shouldn't steal, that's wrong. Even if it seems easy with your physique, you should have contacted me if you needed money" she said with a worried and disappointed look. "My allowance is small, but it's clean money..."
Noah looked at her confused.
"—I didn't steal from anyone. You know I don't want to go to prison. I worked, you know?" he growled as he furiously ruffled Sana's hair, who quickly moved away to not mess up her hairstyle.
"—Did you recover your ID?" she asked as she fixed her hair.
"—No. I don't want to go through a police station until things calm down with that guy" he murmured, remembering the man he had "killed." "There are certain temporary jobs... more flexible."
Sana nodded in understanding, although a slight concern appeared on her face.
"—Etto... is it no longer necessary for me to bring you anything?"
Noah looked at her for a few seconds before responding:
"—If you no longer want to, no. We could eat out. I could even buy you something as a thank you for everything so far."
Sana's expression immediately improved, and her eyes shone.
"—Really? Actually, there's a bag I liked" she exclaimed, showing the design on her phone.
Noah made a face.
"—Maybe I spoke too soon" he murmured as they stood up and walked arm in arm.
A few meters away, a beautiful blonde girl watched them with surprise.
"—So, was this it? Is this why Sana changed?" she murmured before turning around and returning home, her golden ponytails swaying.
---
Noah stared at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts. His expression changed from time to time, accompanied by the wet sound that filled the room. Soon he moved his hands to Sana's head and let out a groan.
Sana emerged from under the sheets, wiping her mouth.
"—How was it? Did you like it, Kuma-chan ♡?"
Noah looked at her in silence. He still didn't understand why that beautiful girl seemed so obsessed with sex. He didn't complain: he felt good and enjoyed Sana's body.
But the brunette's level of desire was really high.
"—Nee, don't stay quiet. Did you like it or not?"
Noah nodded, a bit tired, as she smiled with joy.
"—You know, Airi started to suspect. I think the other day she followed me secretly."
Noah listened with little interest. He only knew his friend through what Sana told him, and because she seemed to be the stepdaughter of the man he had left in a coma.
Finding out about it relieved him. He hadn't killed anyone, and that allowed him to enjoy his relationship with Sana more.
Less guilt, more pleasure.
Additionally, the advanced pharmaceutical level of the country—offering more reliable contraceptives—made Noah accept his current relationship with Sana without many reservations.
---
The soft breeze hit their faces as they walked down the street.
Several hours had passed in the hotel and the sun was beginning to set. Noah accompanied Sana to her apartment. Although they maintained an informal relationship, he had started to worry about the girl's safety.
Noah's hypervigilant mind never rested. He had already imagined several catastrophic scenarios in which Sana was kidnapped or dragged into some dark alley.
And they were not empty thoughts: during his stay in the park, he had witnessed similar situations. He had even intervened a couple of times, but he knew it was impossible to save everyone.
So he decided to focus on taking care of his people, especially the green-eyed one.
---
Sana shivered slightly; her clothes were too thin. Noah sighed and placed his jacket over her shoulders.
"—Thank you, I'll treasure it ♡" Sana whispered as she wrapped herself in it.
"—I don't think so. You have to return it; I don't want to freeze sleeping on the bench" Noah replied with a tired smile.
Sana pouted.
"—You don't have to sleep in the park anymore. Sensei is still alive, and everyone thinks he just fell alone" she murmured, hugging him by the waist. "As long as he doesn't wake up, no one will come looking for you. Stay at my house."
Noah looked at her with some strangeness. The way she downplayed the man's brain death was unsettling. Although, considering what he had tried to do to her, it was understandable.
He set aside those thoughts and started to seriously consider Sana's proposal. Sleeping on the street was uncomfortable, but he also didn't want to be a burden on her.
"—I could stay for a few days, but when I save up enough money, I'll move out" he finally responded.
Sana looked at him with bright eyes, happy with his answer.
"—But this doesn't mean we'll spend all day doing it. I have to work" Noah added, anticipating.
Sana's expression darkened, although she didn't have time to retort.
Because a female voice interrupted them, resonating from a nearby alley, shouting insults.
Someone seemed to be in trouble.
