Chapter 183 - Omni-Alliance, Spirit Detainment and Dispatch

Ian spotted Zhang Chulan at the entrance of Nankai University. Feng Zhenghao and Feng Shayan were standing next to him, seemingly engaged in conversation. Upon seeing Ian, Zhang Chulan's eyes lit up instantly.

"Brother Ian!" Zhang Chulan shouted, skillfully lunging toward Ian with practiced familiarity.

He skidded to a halt in front of Ian and urgently recounted the Omni-Alliance's invitation. "They want to pull me into their group!" He pointed at Feng Zhenghao and his daughter. "And they said they wanted me to take them to see you."

Zhang Chulan spoke with a tone that sounded like he was looking for credit, hoping Ian would help him make the final call. Standing to the side, a vein throbbed on Feng Shayan's forehead. 'This kid...'

He had just claimed he wasn't close with Ian, yet the moment Ian appeared, he stuck to him like glue. However, Feng Shayan was also curious about Ian. The information leaked by the Company said Ian had single-handedly dealt with the Four Madmen of All-Encompassing Heaven, proving his immense combat power.

She wanted to see for herself what kind of man he was. Ian's photo in his personal files was so handsome it was almost excessive; Feng Shayan hadn't known if it was real or photoshopped.

The moment she saw Ian, Feng Shayan froze. 'How can someone look this good?' The thought popped into her head. The aura around him was unique—entirely different from the peers she knew in the outcast world.

Watching Feng Shayan stare intently at Ian, a kind, paternal smile appeared on Feng Zhenghao's face. Their purpose here was to invite Ian and Zhang Chulan to join the Omni-Alliance. Of course, their primary target was actually Zhang Chulan; after all, if Ian's strength was truly as the Company described, he no longer needed to care about the Omni-Alliance. Anything they could give him, he could easily take for himself.

But before Feng Shayan or Feng Zhenghao could speak, Ian interrupted them.

"I already know why you came looking for me and Zhang Chulan," Ian said directly to the pair. "I will not join the Omni-Alliance."

Ian's answer was blunt, cutting off Feng Zhenghao's hopes. Feng Zhenghao felt a twinge of disappointment, but he wasn't surprised. How could such a powerful young man be bound by a mere organization like the Omni-Alliance?

The instant Ian finished speaking, he raised his hand and pressed his finger onto the top of Feng Zhenghao's head. In the next breath, he directly read the fragmented Spirit Detainment and Dispatch within Feng Zhenghao's mind. Then, in less than a second, the technique was completed by the mod.

Subsequently, the complete Spirit Detainment and Dispatch—freshly perfected by the mod—manifested in Feng Zhenghao's brain. This version was far more refined and powerful than the original. It not only contained a more fundamental understanding of spirit bodies but also offered more efficient ways to command souls and even deeper hidden mysteries.

Feng Zhenghao felt his body shudder as a massive stream of information surged into his brain. For a moment, he felt like his soul was going to explode. Countless unfamiliar words and images flashed by—powers he hadn't even dreamed of in his half-century of life. All the secrets of Spirit Detainment and Dispatch were presented to him in a way he never thought possible. How was this happening?

His mind was a mess. He felt as though he had received a direct empowerment from a god; the depth of this knowledge exceeded his comprehension.

Ian ignored the meditative state Feng Zhenghao had fallen into and turned to press his finger onto the top of Feng Shayan's head. The moment his finger touched her forehead, Feng Shayan's innate space ability received a subtle enhancement. A deeper understanding of space flooded her mind; she felt the space around her become "softer," easier for her to manipulate.

The upper limit of her ability was raised, her potential further stimulated, and a certain shackle within her body was shattered. Her perception of spatial positioning became clearer; the world seemed to reveal a new side to her.

Ian withdrew his hand. The faces of the father and daughter were written with disbelief. This was his "repayment" for taking their ancestral technique without permission. Equivalent Exchange was part of his divine power, though the value he gave back far exceeded what he had taken.

Feng Zhenghao stood there, his body trembling slightly—not from fear, but from the vertigo and excitement of a massive information surge. He looked at Ian again, his eyes filled with incredulity and awe.

Where on earth did this person come from? With just a touch, he had bestowed so much knowledge. This surpassed his understanding of power. He felt like he was looking up at the starry sky, while Ian was the sky itself.

Standing beside her father, Feng Shayan also felt Ian's unfathomable strength. He was an existence she couldn't comprehend at all. His very presence was a mystery—a riddle deeper than the Eight Supreme Skills.

"You..." Feng Zhenghao wanted to ask what Ian had done, to ask about the technique, but the words caught in his throat.

Ian ignored him and turned his gaze to Zhang Chulan. Zhang Chulan had no idea what was going on. He looked at the strange reactions of the Feng father and daughter, then back at Ian, looking utterly confused.

"Brother Ian, what's happening?" Zhang Chulan whispered, feeling the atmosphere was incredibly eerie, as if he were caught in a play he couldn't understand.

Ian ignored Zhang Chulan's question, looked directly at Feng Zhenghao, and said, "You may leave now."

Feng Zhenghao opened his mouth, wanting to ask a thousand things—about the sudden technique and Ian's source of power. But seeing the calm face of the other, he realized now was not the time for questions, nor did he seem to have the right to ask. The strength and methods Ian displayed were far beyond his grasp. He needed time to digest everything and understand the profound technique in his head.

"Thank you." Feng Zhenghao managed to squeeze out these two words. Although he knew they fell short of expressing his current state of mind, it was perhaps the only response he could offer. He bowed slightly in gratitude.

Feng Shayan also realized that the young man before them was not someone they could recruit or measure. She bowed her head to Ian along with her father, yet she didn't seem inclined to leave.

Seeing that the two weren't moving, Ian knit his brows slightly, a golden glint flashing in his eyes. He raised his right hand and gave a casual wave forward.

"It is time for you to go back."

As soon as he spoke, Feng Zhenghao, his daughter, and the bodyguards behind them all shuddered, their eyes instantly becoming dull. They turned in unison and marched with stiff steps back toward the Omni-Alliance headquarters.

Once they returned to the headquarters, the father and daughter regained their consciousness and physical control. A wave of lingering fear washed over them, only to be quickly overwhelmed by the excitement of their new power. Feng Zhenghao carefully reviewed the complete version of Spirit Detainment and Dispatch in his head, his expression shifting from shock to wild joy.

This was no longer the version he knew; it was a deeper, more fundamental system of power. Every detail was polished, and every part contained profound mysteries. It had elevated Spirit Detainment and Dispatch to an entirely new realm.

On the other side, Feng Shayan was immersed in re-exploring her innate ability. She could feel space flowing at her fingertips, smoother and more compliant than ever. Spatial manipulations that used to require her full effort could now be achieved with a single thought. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she tested the new abilities Ian had bestowed upon her over and over again.

"Father, this is incredible!" Feng Shayan finally stopped and turned to Feng Zhenghao, who was also basking in the surprise. "I feel my ability has improved at least threefold! And my understanding of space is completely different."

Feng Zhenghao nodded slightly, deep thought shining in his eyes. "The same for me. This Spirit Detainment and Dispatch is no longer our original version. It is more profound, more complete, and even contains ways of use I never thought of."

The two looked at each other, and the conversation naturally turned to the mysterious young man—Ian.

"Who exactly is he?" Feng Shayan asked softly, a hint of awe in her voice. "That kind of power doesn't seem like an ordinary outcast."

Feng Zhenghao fell into contemplation, his finger lightly tapping the armrest. "In all the years since I took my seat among the Ten Masters and reached the peak of the outcast world, this is the first time I've seen such methods." To transmit a complete technique into another's mind and even strengthen an innate ability with just a touch... this was beyond the scope of an outcast.

"Even the Old Taoist Master probably couldn't do this, right?" Feng Shayan marveled.

Feng Zhenghao gazed into the distance, his eyes seemingly piercing through the office walls. "Considering his age and the abilities he's shown..."

"Could this man... be the reincarnation of a True Immortal?"

The moment he voiced this guess, even Feng Shayan couldn't help but hold her breath. Finally, Feng Zhenghao shook his head and chuckled self-deprecatingly. "Regardless of his identity, it has nothing to do with us now. To receive his gift this time is already the greatest stroke of luck."
