Chapter 251 - Super Horse

Lin Qiye looked at the glass bottle in Ian's hand, which contained the Medusa proxy.

The woman inside the bottle shivered, her eyes filled with despair.

His "cousin's" way of doing things was always so unexpected, even a bit... outrageous.

The notice for the new recruit training camp had already been issued, and surprisingly, the location was the outskirts of Cangnan City.

Lin Qiye decided to enter the Asylum for the Gods one more time before setting off.

Perhaps he could acquire some useful abilities to give himself a bit more confidence for the upcoming training.

Ian naturally fully supported the idea, stating he would "accompany and guide" him.

He wore a smile that suggested he was just there to revel in the chaos.

The two stepped through the familiar gates of the Asylum for the Gods once again.

On Ian's head was a brand-new, exaggeratedly styled pair of pixelated earmuffs.

They walked straight toward the third psychiatric ward.

The moment the door was pushed open a crack.

A piercing singing voice capable of shattering glass, mixed with the beautiful and melodious sound of a harp, surged out.

In the center of the ward.

A man so handsome he seemed almost ethereal was holding a golden harp.

He faced a massive mirror, "singing" with an intoxicated expression.

It was none other than Bragi, the god of poetry and music in Norse mythology.

He seemed completely oblivious to Lin Qiye and Ian's arrival, remaining immersed in his own world.

That singing was simply a ruthless lashing of the auditory nerves.

Lin Qiye's eyebrows twitched wildly.

He attempted to communicate with Bragi, opening his mouth to ask about his "condition." After his initial inquiry, Lin Qiye confirmed that this man was indeed the Norse god of poetry and music—Bragi.

"Mr. Bragi, may I ask what illness you have?"

Hearing the voice, Bragi slowly turned his head.

A trace of faint melancholy lingered in his azure eyes.

"I'm not ill!"

"Oh, wait, I am ill. My only 'illness' is being so handsome that the world cannot comprehend or endure it."

Bragi sighed softly, his tone filled with the helplessness of being lonely at the top.

"My radiance is too dazzling, so much so that all things in the world pale in comparison before me."

"This leaves me feeling deeply lonely and brings me indescribable distress."

He plucked the harp strings, and his throat let out another stretch of even more ear-piercing noise.

A system prompt rang out in Lin Qiye's mind.

Lin Qiye felt the veins on his forehead throbbing.

This god's level of narcissism had already broken through the stratosphere.

Ian observed Bragi from the side with great interest, seemingly fascinated by this "condition."

Lin Qiye temporarily abandoned the idea of communicating with Bragi.

The two turned around and walked toward the third cell of the Evil God Prison.

The heavy iron door had just been pushed open.

A clarinet noise even more devastating than Bragi's singing assaulted their faces.

The sound was distorted and grating, as if it could pierce straight through the soul.

Ian smugly patted the exaggerated pixelated earmuffs on his head.

The pixel blocks on the earmuffs flickered, completely isolating the noise.

Inside the cell.

"Squidward," who had been transformed from Cthulhu, was facing a sheet of music, struggling to play the clarinet.

He wore a very proud expression, but he clearly had absolutely no talent for this "art."

The moment Squidward saw Ian, the clarinet in his hands dropped to the floor with a clatter.

His massive, cartoonish body began to tremble violently and uncontrollably.

His eyes were filled with unspeakable terror.

Ian merely gave him a "friendly" smile.

In Squidward's eyes, that smile was more terrifying than any torture.

Squidward's massive body shuddered, and he immediately "volunteered" a portion of his origin power.

A cold, slimy power, like invisible tentacles, surged into Lin Qiye's body.

The system's prompt tone rang out.

Lin Qiye felt as though something extra had appeared deep within his body.

He could instantly sprout several tough, flexible, ink-black tentacles from any part of his body.

These tentacles could be used for offense, defense, and support.

Their length and strength would increase along with the enhancement of his mental realm.

Lin Qiye had mixed feelings.

The ability was certainly practical, but the aesthetic was just too bizarre.

In future fights, suddenly sprouting a few slimy tentacles from his back... just thinking about the scene made him uncomfortable.

The two then arrived at Slaanesh's cell.

The moment Slaanesh sensed Ian's familiar aura, it didn't even wait for Lin Qiye to speak.

It proactively sacrificed a portion of its power.

It only begged that Ian would show mercy and pretend it didn't exist.

Lin Qiye helplessly accepted this "gift."

Looking at the name of this new ability, Lin Qiye fell into a deep silence.

He felt that this ability, compared to the previous [Transcendent Mating], seemed just a tiny bit more normal.

But only a tiny bit.

Seeing Lin Qiye lost in thought over a bunch of bizarre abilities with a complicated expression.

Ian suddenly snapped his fingers.

A gift pack made of countless tiny pixel blocks appeared out of thin air in front of Lin Qiye.

The gift pack shimmered with a soft light and slowly merged into Lin Qiye's body.

"This is a new reward I'm giving you."

"[Minecraft Vanilla Resource Pack]."

"It contains: every resource from vanilla Minecraft. From dirt to diamonds to Netherite, from crafting tables to enchanting tables to dragon eggs, it has everything."

Lin Qiye was slightly taken aback.

This bonus was unexpectedly practical.

One day later.

The outskirts of Cangnan City, at the registration desk for the Night Watchman new recruit training camp.

Instructor Hong was looking down, organizing the roster of new recruits.

Suddenly, two streaks of black lightning tore through the sky, eventually coming to a steady halt right in front of Instructor Hong at the registration desk.

However, the fact that such speed didn't generate any air currents caused Instructor Hong's pupils to constrict slightly. He subconsciously assumed that these two were individuals of extreme strength.

Although his guess wasn't wrong, the lack of air currents was simply because Minecraft didn't have a mechanic for aerodynamic drag.

Instructor Hong then focused his gaze, only to see Lin Qiye clad in a set of dark black Netherite armor that shimmered with the purple glow of enchantments.

The armor's lines were sleek yet ferocious, exuding energy fluctuations that made one's heart palpitate.

Ian, on the other hand, wore a seemingly minimalist yet mysterious black battle suit that radiated an equally terrifying pressure.

The surface of the battle suit lacked any superfluous decorations, yet it gave off an unfathomable feeling.

Beneath the two of them were exceptionally magnificent giant black horses, similarly draped in custom alloy horse armor, with faint sparks of electricity flickering beneath their hooves.

These were super lightning horses, bred through multiple generations and optimized by the [Better Breeding Mod] along with potion infusions.

The recruit roster in Instructor Hong's hands nearly fell straight to the ground.

He looked up at the two young men before him, whose aesthetic completely did not belong in this world.

With the powerful mental energy radiating from them, no one would ever mistake them for new recruits.

Instructor Hong felt his breathing become somewhat labored.

This batch of recruits seemed a bit... too strong.

Instructor Hong forced himself to remain calm.

He took a deep breath, trying hard to make his voice sound steady.

"Names."

He began to verify their identity information.

When he saw the clearly marked "Dual God Proxy" note on both Lin Qiye and Ian's profiles.

Instructor Hong felt his temples begin to throb.

One Dual God Proxy was headache-inducing enough, and now two had shown up at once.

He could almost foresee what an absolute madhouse this batch's training camp was going to be.

These weren't just troublemakers; this was practically two almighty gods airdropping into the beginner village.

Instructor Hong's mouth twitched slightly as he struggled to squeeze out a stiff smile.

"Welcome to the Night Watchman new recruit training camp."

"I'll take you to the dormitories."

He decided to personally settle these two "almighty gods" in.

He only hoped they wouldn't dismantle the training camp on their very first day.
