Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: The Clash of Geniuses!

The old Senju clan residence, now converted into a branch of the Konoha Archives, was dedicated to storing ancient texts and scrolls.

This place was usually deserted, so quiet that one could only hear the rustling of pages being turned.

But today, that tranquility was broken.

"Wrong! Your theory is wrong!"

Tsunade slammed her palm on the heavy wooden table, making the scrolls on it jump.

She pointed at the gloomy youth opposite her, her willow-like eyebrows raised in anger.

"Stimulating cell activation with chakra does indeed accelerate wound healing, but you completely ignore the limit of cell division! According to your method, the wound may be healed, but the lifespan of the person being treated will be shortened by at least ten years! Is this treatment, or a life-shortening curse?!"

Orochimaru sat opposite her, his face pale, but his golden, serpentine pupils shone with excitement.

He did not back down in the face of Tsunade's anger, but retorted sharply, "Short-sighted. Tsunade, your vision is too short-sighted."

"What did you say?!" Tsunade was so angry she wanted to slam the table again.

"I'm only talking about the most basic theoretical model," Orochimaru's voice was cold and smooth, like a hissing snake. "Cell division does have a limit, but that's only for ordinary cells. What if we could find a way to induce cells to produce a semi-perpetual motion characteristic, similar to the First Hokage's Wood Release cells? Or, we could simply bypass the cells themselves and directly start with the nature transformation of chakra, using Yang Release chakra to create new cells to fill the wound, instead of accelerating the division of old cells?"

Tsunade was stunned.

The two directions Orochimaru proposed were simply fantastic.

One was to challenge the Creator, the other was to directly create life.

This... this was already beyond the scope of medical ninjutsu and had entered the realm of the gods.

"Wishful thinking!" Tsunade retorted subconsciously. "Grandfather First's cells are unique! They can't be replicated at all! As for creating cells with Yang Release, that's even more absurd! How can chakra create matter out of thin air?"

"Why is it impossible?"

A near-paranoid fanaticism shone in Orochimaru's eyes. "All things are composed of chakra. This is the origin of the world. The reason we can't do it is only because our understanding of chakra is still too shallow."

Ever since being "enlightened" by Sarutobi Hiruzen, Orochimaru had completely immersed himself in the ocean of knowledge.

He followed his teacher's instructions and finished reading all the books in the library on medicine and the human body. Then, he turned his attention to the scrolls that were classified as forbidden jutsu.

With Hiruzen's tacit approval, he came into contact with many of the research manuscripts left by the Second Hokage, Senju Tobiram.

Those manuscripts opened a door to a new world for him.

And Tsunade, as the granddaughter of the First Hokage, the princess of the Senju clan, had been exposed to the most orthodox and profound inheritance of medical ninjutsu in the world since she was a child.

In her body flowed the powerful life force of the Senju clan, and she had an innate talent for controlling Yang Release chakra.

One was a scientific research genius with top-tier theoretical knowledge and the wildest imagination.

The other was the inheritor with the most solid practical foundation and the strongest bloodline talent.

Today, under Sarutobi Hiruzen's deliberate arrangement, these two geniuses, who should have walked different paths, finally collided.

Orochimaru, with his dozens of pages of preliminary research report on "Chakra and the Origin of Life," found Tsunade, who was organizing her family's ancient texts.

At first, Tsunade was a little disdainful of this comrade who always exuded a cold aura.

In her eyes, Orochimaru was just a "tech otaku" who was obsessed with all kinds of strange and unusual ninjutsu and didn't follow the right path.

But after she patiently finished reading the report, the disdain on her face gradually turned to gravity, and finally, to deep shock.

The report was filled with all sorts of ideas she had never heard of, and even found somewhat heretical.

But behind every idea was an incredibly rigorous logical deduction and detailed data support.

Orochimaru, with a purely scientific and analytical mindset, had forcibly elevated the empirical discipline of "medical ninjutsu" to the level of "life science."

This was a real eye-opener for Tsunade, and it also gave her an unprecedented sense of crisis.

And so, it led to the current scene, a heated debate that had been going on in the Senju clan's study for the entire afternoon.
