Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Chapter 11

"..."

Eriri glanced nervously to the side.

In fact, when she first received the letter, she really felt like her life was over, just like a heroine in a doujinshi.

But after thinking about it for two class periods, she realized she had nothing to fear.

The worst that could happen was transferring schools.

If that didn't work, she could just go back to England to study.

But she would definitely not let the other party off easy!

"Don't worry, Senpai, I have no intention of exposing your identity. I was just joking," Ryusei Kiryu said. "I called you here because I just need a small favor."

Eriri looked at him suspiciously and asked, "What small favor?"

"Promoting a light novel."

"That's it?"

"That's it."

"..."

Seeing Ryusei Kiryu's serious expression, Eriri was silent for a moment, then spoke angrily:

"If it's something like that, you should have said so earlier!"

"If I didn't use this method,"

Ryusei Kiryu took a sip of milk and said with a smile,

"would you, Senpai, have been willing to come to the rooftop to meet me?"

Eriri looked at Ryusei Kiryu in front of her and felt that he was different from the other boys in school.

She remembered when she was in her first year of high school and met the first person who sent her a confession letter; he was so red-faced and excited that he couldn't even speak clearly.

But this junior in front of her, although his eyes held a hint of curiosity when he first looked at her, then he politely met her gaze, with no intention of looking her up and down.

His respectful attitude calmed her emotions considerably.

Perhaps, it was true what he said, he just wanted her to help him with a small favor.

Eriri took a deep breath and replied honestly, "I probably wouldn't have come."

She didn't have the time or patience to meet every confessor face-to-face to reject them.

Ryusei Kiryu nodded and said, "I knew it. After all, you're a high-and-mighty flower."

Eriri choked.

Hearing that from him, who knew her other identity, felt really awkward.

What kind of high-and-mighty flower likes to draw doujinshi?

Eriri was about to speak when her stomach suddenly let out a strange "grumble" sound.

The air was instantly filled with a somewhat awkward atmosphere.

Ryusei Kiryu looked at Eriri and said, "You haven't eaten yet?"

Eriri's face turned bright red, and she said angrily, "It's all because of you!"

After receiving the envelope in the morning, she had been lost in thought and didn't even have an appetite for snacks.

She declined the girls' invitation to eat in the cafeteria at noon, and only secretly slipped away when the classroom was almost empty. How could she have had time to eat!

Ryusei Kiryu said apologetically, "Sorry, let me treat you to some bread."

Eriri glanced at the half-eaten bread in his hand and said with a look of disdain, "No way, you've already eaten it."

"Of course not the bread I've eaten. You wish."

As Ryusei Kiryu spoke, he flicked his hand behind him and took out a new bag of bread from his inventory.

"!"

Eriri couldn't help but widen her eyes.

"You, where did you get that from?"

"From a mysterious, otherworldly pocket."

"...You must have secretly hidden it behind your clothes."

Ryusei Kiryu smiled without speaking and handed the bread to Eriri.

Eriri hesitated for a moment.

Ryusei Kiryu said, "Don't worry, I didn't put any drugs in it."

Eriri, with an expression like her thoughts had been exposed, blushed again and huffed, "This is school, you wouldn't dare."

She reached out and took the bread.

Ryusei Kiryu didn't deliberately let their fingers touch.

There was no rush for that.

Although Eriri said that, after she got the bread, she still carefully checked the packaging bag first.

After confirming it was intact, she opened the package and started eating.

The taste was pretty good, but it was a bit dry and choking.

Eriri struggled to swallow the bread in her mouth and couldn't help but look at Ryusei Kiryu again.

He was drinking milk.

Noticing Eriri's gaze, Ryusei Kiryu smiled at her and asked, "Want some milk, Senpai?"

Eriri narrowed her eyes at him and said directly, "I want one that hasn't been drunk yet."

"Alright."

Ryusei Kiryu reached behind him again and took out a new carton of milk from his inventory.

"Here's the milk you wanted."

Eriri took it, also inspected it carefully, and after confirming the packaging was intact, she opened it, inserted the straw, and started drinking.

The two of them sat in the shade on the rooftop, silently eating bread and drinking milk.

Ryusei Kiryu finished first because he had already eaten half of his earlier.

He collected his trash and put it aside, then turned to look at the distant sky.

Eriri sped up her eating a bit.

Her appetite wasn't large, and after finishing, she felt a little full.

Eriri rubbed her stomach and glanced at Ryusei Kiryu's profile.

She felt that although this guy was a bit annoying, he was quite thoughtful; he actually knew to prepare milk and bread for her in advance.

However, she had originally thought he was more mature than other boys, but then he said something about an otherworldly pocket. He was indeed a chuunibyou guy.

Thinking this, Eriri spoke, "Hey, Junior, I'm done eating."

Ryusei Kiryu turned his head and said, "Alright, then let's talk about serious matters now, Senpai."

He paused and said seriously, "First, let me introduce myself. My name is Ryusei Kiryu, a transfer student in Class E, first year."

"I hope Senpai can use the account of Teacher [Kashiwagi Eri] to promote a light novel online."

Eriri asked, "What kind of light novel is it?"

Ryusei Kiryu said, "A school romance light novel."

A strange expression appeared on Eriri's face as she said, "You want me, a doujinshi artist, to promote something like that? Do you think my fans would be willing to read it?"

Ryusei Kiryu smiled and said meaningfully, "I think they would."

Although it sounded somewhat contradictory, in reality, the people who most enjoyed reading doujinshi were often also the ones who were most fond of pure love.

Eriri pouted and said, "Whatever you want, I'm only responsible for promoting it. I won't concern myself with the final result."

Ryusei Kiryu nodded and said, "Alright, it's enough that Senpai is willing to help me. In exchange, I will help Senpai keep her secret well."

Eriri glared at him and said, "Anyway, if anyone else finds out, you're dead! Alright, quickly tell me the title of that light novel!"

But Ryusei Kiryu said, "It's not time yet."

Eriri was stunned: "Huh?"

Ryusei Kiryu took out his phone and said, "I still need to make some other preparations. When I'm ready, I'll tell you. How about we add each other on LINE, Senpai? It'll be easier for future contact, after all, you probably don't want me running to your class every time to find you, right?"

Eriri gritted her teeth, but still took out her phone: "You're such a hassle..."

The two exchanged LINE IDs.

Ryusei Kiryu put away his phone with satisfaction.

He held out his hand in front of Eriri, empty.

"Senpai, want to see a magic trick?"

"Huh?"

Ryusei Kiryu closed his hand, then opened it again, revealing two pieces of gum.

"Senpai, have some gum."

"!!"

Eriri stared at his palm.

It was the third time.

And this time, there was no blind spot.

How did this person make them appear?

"If you don't want it, I'll eat it myself."

Ryusei Kiryu slowly withdrew his hand.

Perhaps because she had already eaten the milk and bread he brought earlier,

Eriri no longer had so many doubts.

She quickly reached out and directly took a piece of gum from his palm.

Her fingers touched his palm.

The next moment, a clear and pleasant notification sound rang in Ryusei Kiryu's mind.

Back in the classroom, Eriri propped her cheek with one hand, chewing gum, silently recalling what had happened on the rooftop earlier.

Ryusei Kiryu was truly a strange person.

A girl excitedly ran in from outside the classroom: "Eriri-chan! I found out!"

Eriri sat up straight and looked at the girl, asking with some interest, "Tell me!"

The girl began to relay, in detail, the information she had just gathered from Class E of the first year.

Ryusei Kiryu, a transfer student from a great Eastern country, didn't have many friends in class... After listening, Eriri felt a bit speechless.

What kind of information was this?

She hadn't even found out his preferences.

She didn't even know he could do magic... Never mind, never mind. These girls in her class weren't reliable anyway, all they cared about was showing off and vanity... Although she grumbled inwardly, Eriri maintained her elegant young lady demeanor on the surface, smiling and telling the girl she had worked hard.

The girl walked away happily.
