Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: Pursuit

So after thinking about it, at present, the village is most likely to have the Fourth Hokage, and only the last one of the Sannin, Orochimaru, remains.

Regardless of status, being a disciple of the Third Hokage, or his record, he once commanded the battle with Amegakure during the Second Great Ninja War. This time, the village allowing Orochimaru to command the entire front against Sunagakure shows that his military talent cannot be underestimated.

As for strength, he was praised by Hanzō of the Salamander, who is known as the demigod of the ninja world in the Second Great Ninja War. So many years have passed, and his true strength is even more unknown.

After thinking about it for a moment, Dosuke figured it out, and his fear of Orochimaru suddenly decreased.

The current Orochimaru should not have undergone insane human experiments yet, and is not so fanatical about forbidden jutsu and banned books.

"Dosuke-kun, can you tell me the reason your strength has increased?"

Orochimaru looked at Dosuke with an exploratory gaze.

For a moment, Dosuke felt like he was being stared at by a cold-blooded creature.

His whole body shivered.

"It's like this. When I went out with Jiraiya-sensei last time, I obtained something called "Hero Water." Dosuke briefly explained the process of obtaining the Hero Water.

Then he briefly talked about the process of training in the Shikkotsu Forest.

After listening to Dosuke's words, Orochimaru gradually fell into deep thought.

He crossed his arms in front of his chest. "So, the Hero Water is just an inducement? In fact, the key is natural energy?"

"It should be, Orochimaru-sama," Dosuke replied briefly.

"Natural energy… I seem to have heard this from the White Snake Sage in Ryūchi Cave," Orochimaru muttered to himself.

"Senjutsu… Sage Mode?"

Looking at Orochimaru, who was thinking, Dosuke suddenly froze.

Orochimaru's future research on curse marks won't start because of his words today… right?

"Master Orochimaru, I hope to relocate the Medical Department. Our current location has been exposed."

"I wish to find a safer place."

Looking at Orochimaru, who was still lost in thought, Dosuke raised his tone slightly.

"Mm… okay. You can discuss matters like this with Shikaku yourself." Orochimaru nodded.

Seeing Orochimaru still thinking deeply, Dosuke shook his head, turned around, and left the tent.

Maybe Orochimaru really will fall into researching curse marks.

Forget it; it's too early to worry about that.

After going outside, he happened to meet Nara Shikahisa, who returned with a stack of documents.

"Uncle Shikaku!"

Dosuke caught up and discussed the new location of the medical department.

"Dosuke, go back first. I'll check the terrain, and you'll be notified immediately."

"Okay, Uncle Shikaku, thank you for your hard work."

After speaking, Dosuke turned and left.

Looking at Dosuke leaving, Nara Shikahisa scratched his pineapple-shaped hair. "So troublesome… there's always something every day." He sighed and looked helplessly toward the command tent.

"If Tsunade-sama were here…" Before he finished speaking, Nara Shikahisa remembered the scene where Tsunade gathered people to gamble inside the camp.

"…Actually, maybe it's better she isn't here."

Life is hard. Nara Shikahisa lowered his head and walked toward the command tent.

Back at the medical department, Dosuke found Yamamatsu Taiga and Ayase Asami busy giving orders.

"Uncle Yamamatsu, Aunt Ayase, I already reported to Orochimaru-sama that this camp isn't safe anymore. Please have everyone pack the essential medical supplies first. We'll move once we receive the relocation notice."

"No problem, Dosuke. I've already started cleaning up."

Looking at the still messy camp and the injured constantly screaming, Dosuke fell silent.

"War… people will always die. Dosuke, don't think too much," Ayase Asami said softly.

"Aunt Ayase, I'm fine. I just feel we must treat them." Dosuke never thought of himself as a good person, but when the cruelty of war was placed directly in front of him, he realized he still couldn't ignore it.

Sighing, Dosuke turned and walked back toward his tent.

Watching his lonely back, Yamamatsu Taiga wanted to speak, but Ayase Asami grabbed his sleeve and shook her head.

After Dosuke walked away, Ayase Asami murmured, "Dosuke is still too young… We all came from war. Some things can only be understood with time. Dosuke is a good child."

"And he's smart. Don't worry."

"Taiga, do you remember when we first went to the battlefield?" Ayase Asami asked with her hands in her pockets.

"Of course. Back then, we were still inexperienced."

"At that time, there were no medical-nin. We were with Tsunade-sama. I remember there was an ambush, and Tsunade-sama protected us." A trace of nostalgia appeared in Yamamatsu Taiga's eyes.

"Yeah… it feels so similar. Tsunade-sama asked us to retreat first. I wanted to protect Dosuke too, but I didn't expect this feeling. Only now do I understand why Tsunade-sama kept sending Dosuke to the front."

"Whether in medical ninjutsu or strength, Dosuke is chasing Tsunade-sama's back. We will escort him."

Yamamatsu Taiga didn't answer, he simply nodded heavily.

Time passed quickly, and the sun hung high.

Yamamatsu Taiga walked quickly to Dosuke's tent. "Dosuke, Shikaku-sama sent word that the new camp is ready."

He opened the curtain and found Dosuke working with several bottles of liquid.

"What are you doing?" Yamamatsu Taiga asked.

"It's fine, just some research. Since you've notified me, Uncle Yamamatsu, please tell everyone to prepare for the move."

Saying that, he began packing the bottles and jars.

On the other side, Ye Cang was relentlessly hunted by Konoha's pursuit unit.

When she was finally about to collapse, she discovered Sunagakure's retreat marker.

This was pre-arranged between Ye Cang and Rasa, Sunagakure's senior commander, before the surprise attack mission.

After the mission whether successful or not there would be a retreat route prepared.

Ye Cang immediately retreated along the sand markers.

But because the pursuing unit included both Hyuga-clan Byakugan users and Inuzuka tracking ninjas, Ye Cang had never been able to fully shake them off.

She moved quickly through the forest, constantly changing direction.

"She changed direction again!" a ninja with bulging veins from the Hyuga clan shouted.

"Fang over Fang, go!!" The large khaki-colored ninken charged forward.

The pursuit unit followed behind the ninken.

Just as they were advancing

Crash! Crash! Crash!!
