Chapter 5 - Defiance of Order: The Sovereignty of Resonance

The Broken Vow

The guests in the main hall, where Son and No Eul's engagement was just about to take place, froze. Son's rage caused a powerful aura of Darkness to form around him, threatening the Realm of Light. The air in the hall grew cold, swallowing the usual golden light of the Heavens.

"I will not take the Goddess No Eul as my wife."

No Eul stopped in the center of the hall, taken aback. Ro Woon rose from his throne in bewilderment. Lord Wei, Son's father, frowned with anxiety. Although Ro Woon maintained his outer composure, his divine core of Order violently vibrated from the Chaos he couldn't control. His golden aura flared like a beacon, desperately trying to push back the gathering blackness.

"This is a violation of the age-old Order. Explain how you dare to defy the foundations!"

Son shifted his gaze to Ha Eun, who was sitting next to Chan Min. Everyone's eyes followed his gaze to her. Ha Eun felt thousands of divine eyes upon her.

"I am not defying the foundations," Son began. "On the contrary, I agreed to this marriage because my energy has, for the first time, found its true resonance. Only she is the true balance for my Darkness. My wife can only be Ha Eun."

No Eul felt her divine pride crumbling. This was not just a public humiliation; it was a denial of her very essence. A dark, vengeful resolve flared in her eyes, filled with fierce pain and burning jealousy.

Ro Woon felt his millennia-old Order shake. For the first time, he was challenged. Ha Eun was a new, strong, and unknown energy. If she connected with the Darkness, no one knew how powerful and uncontrollable their bond might become. The uncertainty of this danger threatened everything Ro Woon had built since the beginning of creation. He had to stop Son.

Outraged by the arrogant behavior of the God of Darkness, Chan Min leaped up in fury. He instinctively pulled Ha Eun closer, and his hand on her waist glowed with a scorching crimson light.

"What are you saying?! You insult not only my sister's feelings but also my future wife! Ha Eun belongs to me. Your Darkness will not defile her!"

"Defile?! With the truth?! I am seeing your sister for the first time, and you demand that I feel affection for her!"

No Eul, consumed by burning jealousy, hissed: "This upstart... She is the cause of Chaos. Is my brother not enough for her? Now she wants my fiancé too?!"

Realizing that passions were escalating and a destructive conflict was about to erupt, Ro Woon decided to interrupt the ceremony.

"Enough!" Ro Woon said commandingly, his eyes gleaming with cold, steel-like light. "We will resolve this misunderstanding immediately."

The Fall of Order and Ha Eun's Imprisonment

Ro Woon sat at the table in his throne room, made of solid light-colored stone. The bewildered Ha Eun stood before him.

"How do you know the God Son?"

"We are not acquainted with him," Ha Eun replied.

"Don't lie to me. His claim on you was too obvious to be 'accidental.'"

Ha Eun looked at Chan Min. She sought support in his eyes, but he did not even consider intervening. Like his father, Chan Min wanted to know the truth, as the cosmic consequences of what had happened could be unpredictable.

"I... I saw him by chance in the Garden of Light. He approached me, mistaking me for No Eul."

"What?!" No Eul, who had been standing silently all this time, cried out in indignation. "And you didn't tell him the truth about who you are? So, you deliberately concealed the truth from Son to deceive him."

"I didn't mean to deceive him. I just didn't get a chance to tell him."

"Didn't get a chance to tell the truth?! You lie! You simply felt the power emanating from him and decided he was a suitable replacement for my brother!"

"No Eul, don't cross the line! Ha Eun is loyal to me and would never do such a thing!" Chan Min interjected.

"You're just defending her! But the truth is obvious! She deliberately concealed the truth to seduce my fiancé!"

No Eul, like a fury, approached Ha Eun, her usually beautiful face contorted with uncontrollable hatred.

"Your accidental meeting has turned into my public humiliation and a tragedy for all worlds! You came into our home to steal everything: first Father's attention, then my Brother's, and now my Destiny!"

"Silence, No Eul!" Ro Woon interjected. "Your emotions are chaos! I am sure Ha Eun did this unintentionally."

"You are defending her again, Father! What about me? Your daughter?! I was so humiliated today because of her! Who will protect me?!"

"Ro Woon, don't worry. No one will let harm come to you. The God Son gave his consent to the wedding. In any case, a God's promise is law to himself. He will unite with you, and everything will return to its place."

Ro Woon turned to Ha Eun, and his next words erupted with painful, destructive frankness.

"Ha Eun, although I treat you as a daughter, today you have caused a rift between two realms. The misunderstanding between you and the God Son has for the first time threatened the alliance that must be concluded for the balance of energies in the universe. Until this situation is resolved, you will be isolated. You will be held under guard, and your energy will be blocked and prohibited from manifesting until your spiritual maturity and union in lawful bonds with Chan Min."

Ha Eun lifted her chin, her eyes flashing with the first spark of protest. "Why?! I did nothing wrong! I always followed your rules!"

"This is an Order Command, and it is not negotiable!" Ro Woon replied harshly. "You are a new, currently uncontrollable energy that today became a threat to destroy the established Order."

"The Order established by you!" Ha Eun snapped back.

"How dare you speak to my father that way! He is the energy of Order! The entire cosmos was built by him and remained in harmony until you appeared!"

"Chan Min," Ro Woon addressed his son. "Take Ha Eun to the Cold Castle and place a formation so that no one can approach her. She must not have contact with the Darkness. Her power must be frozen. Let the cold restore order to her essence."

Chan Min wanted to object to his father and ask him not to freeze Ha Eun's energy channels, as it would cause her immense pain. But looking at Ro Woon's resolve, he controlled himself. Arguing with his father was pointless. And perhaps this truly was the only correct decision.

Ro Woon, waiting for Chan Min and Ha Eun to leave, turned to No Eul, who was still standing, seething with offense.

"No Eul, don't remain idle either. Go to Son immediately. Convince him that you are the only possible bride for him. Your Beauty must save our Order. Your task is to sow doubt in his choice before he takes the next step."
