Back at the hut, Fiona was about to throw up in disgust as someone kissed another like a savage dog.
"Time's up," Caesar said to the two who had just finished kissing One was Camila, and the other, one of Caesar's clique.
"Spin." The bottle was spun again, and this time it landed on Aviva and April. April looked shocked, but Aviva kept a calm expression. "Wow, it landed on April and the Asian girl." My name is Aviva, she thought.
"Looks like I'm daring you," April said, trying to look reluctant.
"Mhm," Aviva replied, staring into his eyes. Everyone waited in anticipation for what she would ask him. Finally, she said,
"Well, April… why don't you tell me why you broke up with me?"
Gasps echoed around the hut. Aviva had dated April, and she hadn't known this. April smirked.
"Is that a question…" he said, his tone mocking. Everyone reacted, but Aviva's face stayed straight. He continued, "…I like my girls simple, not crazy like you." He chuckled after those words. Fiona faced Aviva, but all she saw was his unshaken composure, as if the words hadn't scratched her at all.
"Now crazy girl…" Aviva gritted his teeth at him. "…I dare you to drink the whole bottle of alcohol, right here." He handed her the untouched bottle.
Aviva held it but didn't look away from him.
"Aviva, don't let his words get to you. You don't have to drink it," Fiona whispered. But Aviva ignored her, opened the bottle with her teeth, and drank straight from it.
After finishing, she wiped her mouth and glared back at April.
The game continued. As the bottle spun again, it landed on her and Frederick. What a day. Who knows what he might do… but I guess we're close to friends, so maybe nothing crazy will happen.
"Guys, can I change the person I'm daring?" Frederick asked, trying to avoid awkwardness with Fiona.
"But dude, you can't change the rules," one of Caesar's clique said.
"Yeah, you just gotta play," Caesar added.
Silver interrupted. "Wait, guys. If he doesn't want to hurt mommy's little virgin, he can change partners." She looked at Fiona, two people away.
"How about I help him then?" Silver smiled, eyes squinting mischievously.
Caesar agreed, and Fiona knew Silver had a plan. It was either a kiss or worse. "Ask me anything, Fiona," Silver smiled.
Fiona gulped. "Why did you stop talking to me?"
Silver raised a brow. "I just did. Now, Fiona, I dare you to…"
"But that doesn't answer my question, does it?" Fiona interrupted.
Silver smiled. "You see, Fiona, nothing lasts forever. That's why I stopped talking to you." Everyone waited for the dare.
"Now, Fiona… I dare you to tell everyone if you've ever had a boyfriend."
"No," Fiona replied sourly.
"No? Well, that means you're still a smelly virgin," Silver taunted.
"Being a virgin isn't smelly, Silver. Unlike you, you wouldn't know the value of dignity and chastity." Fiona's comeback had the hut laughing, though Frederick and Caesar remained expressionless, and Aviva seemed ready to throw up.
Fiona tugged Aviva to leave.
"Fiona…" Aviva's eyes spun with dizziness.
They reached the bathroom. "Fiona… I don't feel so good," Aviva said, face pale.
"Then you shouldn't have let his words get to you." They entered, and Aviva threw up into the sink. Fiona stood at the door, worried.
After splashing water on her face and wiping it off, Aviva smiled at Fiona.
"Now, let's get back to partying," she said.
Fiona placed a hand on Aviva's shoulder. "It's okay if you don't want to go, but I think we've had enough fun for today."
Aviva sighed. "You know, Fiona… the world is really wicked." Her voice shook, her eyes full of pain.
Fiona removed her hand. Aviva leaned on the sink, trying to control her feelings.
"Thanks, Fiona," she breathed, then smiled. "How about we go home now? You're right, enough partying."
They headed out. Somewhere else in the condo, Eden feasted his lips on Ramila. Suddenly, a low growl startled them. Eden paused but continued, brushing it off as another couple making out. Another growl, louder this time, made Ramila pull back, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"That doesn't sound normal, Eden," she said, wary.
He went to check the source, finding bloodstains on the floor. Suddenly, something yanked him by the neck, making him scream. Ramila followed, terrified.
Meanwhile, Fiona and Aviva heard the screams from the condo. "Did you hear that too, or am I imagining things?" Aviva asked.
"It sounded like it came from upstairs," Fiona said, worried.
They ran upstairs, following the trail of blood, and froze at the sight.
"There's blood on the floor," Aviva stated.
"Yeah… we should call the police before we become the next victims," Fiona said.
Suddenly, a sharp growl sounded behind them. But when they turned, nothing was there.
The creature, sensing their fear, lured them into a room where Eden and Ramila were unconscious in a pool of their own blood.
"I… I can't move my legs," Aviva whispered.
Fiona struggled but couldn't free herself. Fear paralyzed them, and the creature revealed itself.
Elsewhere, Twilight and Zavion searched for the creature. Twilight instructed Zavion, "Don't call me sire around humans."
After fruitless searching, Twilight spotted Fredrick. The tension between the brothers was palpable.
"You seem to be tensed, brother." Twilight turned around to the annoying voice of his stepbrother. Frederick held a smile on his face; Twilight gave a look of both annoyance and no hint of remorse.
"You seem to be enjoying yourself when a white Annis lurks in the vicinity." He raised a brow. Frederick frowned for a moment but then smiled.
"And how does that bother the likes of me?" He raised a brow, showing no change in emotions to the news. He then placed a hand inside his pocket and walked a bit closer to Twilight. The atmosphere was lovely and full of vibe, but the aura between these two brothers was petrifying.
"Of course it doesn't bother you. I forgot that children weren't told these kinds of stuff." Twilight raised the side of his lips, amused by Frederick, who gritted his teeth in annoyance.
Of all the annoying things Twilight had said earlier with Fiona there, this one really sparked madness in him, but he kept his calm. Frederick let out a sigh, as if controlling himself from darting heavy punches at his face.
"And where did you keep the remnant?" Twilight was referring to Fiona, and Frederick chuckled lightly.
"And why would you be asking for remnants from a child?" came the proud insult from Frederick. On the other hand, the person he insulted didn't seem to care.
"I'm asking to know if the so-called child finished his meal before wandering about, playing like a confident fool he is." Frederick was about to grab Twilight by the collar, but when Zavion returned with the coconut drink, he returned his fake smile and calm demeanor.
"Prince Frederick." Zavion gave a small bow. Although the humans had fun and made a ruckus, it didn't stop the wary in the eyes of Twilight.
"What an honor seeing you here." Zavion handed the drink to Twilight, still with the same bow he gave Frederick. Frederick offered him a charming smile.
"I heard a white Annis is on the loose. I'm guessing you need some expert help." Twilight glared at Frederick after he handed the coconut drink back to Zavion.
Zavion seemed really glad that His Highness Frederick was here. "We really do need the help, sire, but we wouldn't want to bother you though." Twilight looked pissed but let out a tired sigh.
"Zavion…" Twilight called his name with boredom, eyes still on Frederick. "…If you want to do some more chit-chat with Frederick, I will leave you to it, while I go find the white Annis." Twilight turned his back to them. He made some steps before he stopped.
"Frederick…" he called, forcing the words out of his mouth.
"Yes, dear brother." Frederick replied with a dashing smile still on his face.
"If you don't mind, stepbrother…" Twilight paused, still backing him, as Zavion hurried to stand close to his Highness. "…do you know where the chosen one had lingered off to? It would do you some good at least to say. Who knows if she has been killed by the Annis already."
As he continued his steps with no word from his stepbrother, Frederick cleared his throat before saying,
"The last time I got a glimpse of her, she headed for the condo."
Hearing this, Twilight thought to himself: the condo was the last place they hadn't checked for the Annis.
"Zavion… let's check the condo." Twilight held seriousness in his tone. And with that, they both headed for the condo at a hurried pace.
At the condo, the creature had wrapped Fiona and Aviva in a sticky web, keeping them unconscious. Eden and Ramila were wounded.
Fiona slowly regained consciousness, noticing Aviva still asleep. "Aviva," she whispered. Eventually, Aviva woke. "Sir Lewis!" she said, still dazed.
Twilight arrived, poured a purplish liquid on the web, and freed them. He healed the wounded couple, saying, "You do like to get in trouble, don't you?" before leaving.
Fiona tugged Aviva. "We better go. My dad's gonna kill me."
Aviva drove them away as the sun set. "Call me. We have a lot to talk about. What happened back there wasn't a dream," she said.
Fiona just nodded, feeling the chaos was only beginning.
