When the illustrious pyrotechnics Zory had footed the bill on having imported began to light up their sky, Ozzy knew time was of the essence more than ever now. There were a great many things he had pretended to be incapable of doing mostly for show to deter people from realizing what the Nova Alliance had truly granted all of their generals the power to do on even a basic power scale. It had made all of their more esteemed generals like he had been more than capable of giving Yuri's people the slip one way or another. His truly dark origin story had also made certain that he could easily disappear in and out of the shadow planes on a far more grand sort of scale than Yuri had any reason to suspect he could.
"As much as I've enjoyed my latest time out?" He mocked with no tangible trace of amusement. "Time's up, Yuri."
Standing there behind a veil of sorts from the fanfare that was occurring on and above Cosmastelli Street was now exactly where he no longer belonged. He was already more than far enough along on the road to ascension that there was no need for him to pretend he hadn't remained here in the shadows by choice. While he might not ever be accustomed to the kind of limelight taking center stage to argue with Zory head on would cause, he wasn't going to let her sideline him as if none of their shared history mattered.
He had been avoiding home because he could no longer stand to follow suit in parading around like there was any part of him still wanting to call it his home. Trixxie was still young, malleable. She was still full of hope he had lost for all of their people by the time he was her age. Their depravity knew no bounds when it came to anyone who was too different from them. However Zory thought it was possible to prove that supernovas weren't all that different from regular nova-types was long doomed to be a waste of her breath.
"Ozzy-!" Vitale called out as he managed to appear only a fraction of a second faster than Ozzy disappeared.
"There's too many imminent threats there." Yuri counseled with urgency. "Whatever you were trying to say to me before he showed up will have to wait, Vitale… His main protective instincts are going to be so beyond overdrive mode he could easily go red, Vitale… So go…. Vitale? Go now."
He wasn't any more a fan of forcing her to repeat herself than he knew she was of having to do so.
"I was planning to ask you to take my hand," He notified her before bowing formally. "Yes, in marriage… But I respect why everything happening with Mari and Ozzy will continue to be the priority for you as always, Lady Mayuri."
For a man who was well known for being over the top at every turn, that lackluster proposal was far more alarming than just surprising to receive. Before she could even hit pause to try to scratch the surface on why he'd stolen his own thunder like that, he was already gone. He was long gone as always.
