In Hoenn region, near Littleroot Town:
In route 101, where one can hear chirping of birds and howls from the creatures.
An unconscious body, with many wounds, was found lying against a tree.
Suddenly, a light from above went inside him, and his wound started healing.
5 minutes later,
The boy woke up from his slumber gasping for air.
He felt younger and stronger.
"What's going on?" He questioned himself with a teenager's voice.
The boy looked at his surroundings, full of trees and bushes, and himself. His clothes covered with blood.
"Did this boy got attacked and die? I possessed his body," The boy thought.
His vision caught a mongoose like creature in a distance.
'Is that a Zigzagoon? Am I Dreaming?' The boy thought to himself.

'A system? Like those cheats or golden fingers in the novels I read... never thought I would get one,' The boy thought.
He looked beside him and found a backpack beside him.
He opened it and poured the contents on the ground.
Snacks, water bottles, 2 pairs of clothes, camping gear, compass, first-aid kit, flashlight, a driving licence length card, and a letter fell on the ground.
He changed into fresh clothes and put everything into backpack.
He picked up the letter, saying recommendation letter signed by nurse joy.
The card was named as identification card.

"So this kid's name is Sam. since I am in your body, I will be Sam from now on." The soul called himself as Sam.
Just as he put them into backpack, a notification was heard inside his head.
"Pokemon trainer support system?" Sam asked.
"So, What can you do?" asked Sam.
"System, open status panel"
Reward: Hoenn starter Pokemon, unlocking host's status panel.
Failure: Random Pokemon, unlocking host's status panel.
Note: Random Pokemon can't be a rare Pokemon. Host might get a MagiKarp.>
"In an hour? I don't even know where I am!" Sam asked out loud.
A small arrow appeared in front of Sam, pointing south.
Sam asked few more times but got no response.
'Well, okay,' Sam gave up after getting no response from system.
He started walking in the direction showed by the system to explore the pokemon world with excitement.
45 minutes later…
"Finally, reached Littleroot town," Sam thought his eyes filled with relief.
'Is this really pokemon world? I haven't encounter single pokemon till now," Sam sighed.
Suddenly, his face was hit with cold air carrying saline scent of ocean.
Whoooo… Whoooo
Sam hears the horn of ship along with high pitched sound of Pelipper and Wingull in the skies.
He walk some more and finds streets filled with people and pokemon.
Sam sees a Meowth stealing fish, a skitty wearing clothes following beside a rich lady and some more.
"I take my words back. I really am in pokemon world," Sam commented with excitement.
But Sam's excitement cut short by system message.
"Yes, I didn't forgot," Sam said and started walking.
After 10 minutes of walking, Sam reached the lab.
Just then, his ears picked up footsteps. Sam spotted someone coming toward him.
A man wearing a white lab coat, a guarded expression on his face, on his upper chest a badge telling 'Pokémon Professor Aide: Joshua'.
"Who are you, and what business you have in the lab?" Sam heard a deep voice from the man in front of him.
"I am Sam from Oldale Town. I am supposed to receive my first Pokémon from prof. Birch," Sam informed Joshua.
Joshua looked at Sam to check whether he is lying or not.
"Show me proof," Joshua asked Sam
"Proof?" Sam blinked.
"Yes, Nurse joy recommendation letter, for passing the trainee exam," Joshua reminded.
Sam recalled the letter he saw in the forest.
He took it out and gave it to Joshua.
"Genuine one, come inside," Joshua told Sam after checking it and went inside.
"My name is Joshua, one of the aides of Prof. Birch. He is not here right now, so I will be the one giving you your first Pokémon," Joshua informed Sam.
Sam nodded, following behind him with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
Sam looked around, found the lab looked similar to the one shown in the anime.
Sam and Joshua reached a big room, a capsule in the center of the room containing one poke ball.
"This is the only starter Pokémon left, you are quite lucky Sam," Joshua told Sam.
"What do you mean? "Sam asked with confusion.
"Starter pokemon are rare and limited, not every one can get them." Joshua Said looking at Sam.
"In the past, one or two starters will be left out or never got picked by other trainers. Pokemon also has feelings, and these left out starters start to lose their confidence, affecting their potential," Joshua said, his voice filled with sadness.
"So pokemon league made a new rule that the left out starter will be sent to the one of the guilds across hoenn. The guild leader will give that starter to the promising trainee in the guild," Joshua said.
"Starter pokemons will be held in lab for 5 days, and trainers need to get them before time's up, or they will be sent to guilds," Joshua continued. "After all, you are not the only trainer who wants to start your Journey."
"If that is the case I am very lucky, "Sam realised.
Joshua nodded that Sam understand the situation but also confused.
"Kid, are you not angry? How are you taking this normally?" Joshua asked.
"Huh? Don't know," Sam replied, shaking his head.
Joshua want to say something, but he saw Sam looking at the pokeball.
He could see Sam's body trembling which he noticed many trainers get when they were receiving their starter Pokémon.
Joshua smiled and shook his head.
"What are you waiting for? Release your first Pokémon," Joshua encouraged Sam.
Sam nodded and walked closer and picked the poke ball.
Reward: Affection increases by 10 points,
An item that boosts the Pokémon power(Depend on Pokémon type,
Prof. Birch's trust increased by 30%.
Penalty: Affection decreases -20 points.>
Sam got notifications from system.
'A new quest,' Sam thought.
"You know, to release your Pokémon, you can throw your poke ball to ground or press the button in the middle," Joshua told Sam after seeing him not let the Pokémon out.
Sam took a deep breath and thrown the ball to the ground.
