"She—" Victoria heard her own suppressed voice ask, "Sophie Davies—that girl—where is she staying now that she's back in London?"
He pressed his lips together, looking at his mother for a moment. "She's probably staying at her uncle Matthew's place," he replied calmly, without any change in expression.
Victoria frowned.
"Anything else?" he asked.
"One more thing—regarding the chairmanship of the group, lawyers are already handling the process. The final decision will only come after the board meeting," Victoria said, still unwilling to let go of what she considered her rightful position. "This isn't something that can be stopped just because your father wakes up or doesn't."
