"Don't reply," Alex said, pressing down on Hale's hand.
Hale nodded and closed the messaging interface.
Ella returned to the window and looked back at her monitors.
The candlestick charts were still moving slowly. Harrington Group's stock had fallen a little further in after-hours trading.
The drop in Yamamoto Hotel Group's stock was even larger, approaching twelve percent.
She opened another page and pulled up the detailed information on the three offshore funds that were shorting Yamamoto stock.
She had noticed earlier that someone was using Yui's scandal to short the Yamamoto family's stock, but she had never figured out who was behind it.
Now she wanted to know the answer even more.
"Alex," she called softly.
"Hmm?"
"Help me check three funds. They're registered in the Cayman Islands and are currently the main force shorting the Yamamoto family's stock." She sent the fund names to Alex's computer. "I want to know who is really operating behind them."
