Chapter 375 - Captain

The war came faster than any Ultraman imagined. The detection instruments deployed near the Land of Light detected strong fluctuations from the anti-matter universe. They transmitted the organized information data back to the headquarters of the Space Garrison, triggering an alarm.

A piercing sound echoed throughout the entire Land of Light within seconds.

It resonated through the exquisite, opulent buildings.

It resonated through the colossal Ultraman city, as vast as a mountain range. The city of the Land of Light was magnificent, extending not only upwards into the sky but also downwards into the ground. The underground city was just as grand and spectacular as the one above ground. The residents of the Land of Light were engaged in scientific research and training on this planet. The alarm sounded in every corner.

In the grand training grounds, in the light testing center, in the residential areas. The alarm echoed everywhere.

Ultraman warriors rushed out, holding their weapons, to defend their battle stations.

On the colossal orbital space station, Ultramen like Seven, Ace, and Taro gazed at the vast void. Tiny points of light appeared in the distance. That was ash and flame. They had arrived.

Symbols of evil and distortion.

Executors of chaos.

Destroyers of civilization.

Countless monsters and aliens surged out of the torn spacetime rifts. Their warships blotted out the sky, obscuring the faint starlight. Those terrifying monsters, at a glance, seemed to have no end.

Closely following them was an endless black tide, with terrifying daemon gods hidden in the darkness.

Pairs of cruel eyes glowed in the black mist, staring at the location of the Land of Light. They were filled with hatred for this nation that had blocked them for hundreds of thousands of years. Today, they would destroy everything.

As the alarm sounded, every Ultraman warrior prepared for battle. They didn't encourage each other, nor was there much romance.

Silence was their epitaph, and it also represented their steadfastness. This was an era destined to lose a lot.

Father of Ultra flew out of the Land of Light and stood before the many Ultraman warriors.

His arrival instilled more confidence in the Ultramen.

"For hope," Father of Ultra's spirit transmitted this message.

Like a war horn.

Countless Ultraman warriors charged into the sky. They transformed into light and rushed towards the vast horde of monsters.

Like mantises charging into a roaring traffic flow. The honor of the first kill went to Ace, who wielded a long blade materialized from Ultra psyker Power and light energy, unleashing an Ace Cutter that sliced a monster in half.

Led by the Ultra Brothers, many Ultramen plunged into the monster and warship hordes. They unleashed beams of light, destroying the enemies. The battle quickly ignited across the entire starry sky.

Zero also joined the battle.

With a swipe of his hands in the void, he outlined a shimmering shield, blocking all the volleys from the warships. Then, with a rebound, he sent all those beams back.

Accompanied by silent explosions, the warships blew up in the void, countless fragments engulfed in flames rushing in all directions. The corpses of the aliens were thrown out by the shattered warships, freezing into ice sculptures in the void, drifting along with the broken wreckage.

Occasionally, an Ultraman would be defeated, the light on their bodies disappearing, turning into stone statues, and then shattering into pieces under the enemy's concentrated fire.

Belial ordered the Reionics and tens of thousands of monsters following him to launch the first wave of attack.

Reionics are not a single race, but a collective force with certain characteristics. The omniscient and omnipotent Reibloodians widely scattered their genes throughout the universe, and Earthlings or aliens who acquired their genetic inheritance or were infected by their spirit could be called Reionics. They could summon their respective monsters using Battle Nizers. There is no racial barrier among Reionics; the strongest among them is revered.

Belial was the strongest of this generation.

He changed the previous style of Reionics fighting among themselves only to determine the strongest.

He gathered all the Reionics together, forming an unprecedented army.

With this army, he was able to continuously conquer other races, driving them to fight against the Land of Light.

Baltan, Alien Babal, Alien Empera, Darklops, and the most mysterious Absolutian race, among others, participated in the war led by Belial, attempting to conquer the Land of Light. This alliance was extremely fragile, with many factions having their own agendas. They would not obey each other, and if it weren't for the common enemy of the Land of Light, a war of unprecedented scale could have erupted among them.

Only through Belial's efforts to hold them together could they gather to launch an attack.

Ultraman Zero charged through the monster horde, crushing the monsters with his immense power. Through years of battle, he had activated his Corona and Luna forms. These two forms possessed extraordinary combat power.

Many monsters couldn't withstand a single strike from Zero.

Before long, a large number of warship fragments and monster corpses were suspended next to Zero.

However, the enemies seemed endless. They had only eliminated cannon fodder.

More powerful beings were consuming the strength of the Ultraman warriors.

Only when the Ultraman warriors were sufficiently weakened would they appear one by one.

Father of Ultra was guarded by the Ultra Brothers.

Many monsters continuously charged towards them, attempting to completely annihilate Father of Ultra and extinguish the hope of the Ultramen.

But Father of Ultra was fearless.

He held the Ultra Holy Sword in his hand, slaying the monsters. The Holy Sword was incredibly sharp, containing unimaginable power.

A single strike could cut down a tough, thick-skinned monster dozens of meters tall.

However, no matter how many monsters the Ultra Brothers and Father of Ultra killed. There was an endless supply of monsters filling the gaps.

As if there was no end.

When the time was right, Belial and his allies appeared.

Each one was an extremely powerful dark daemon god.

Some were even infamous, having destroyed countless worlds. The first was the Hyper Spacetime daemon God Etelgar.

Legend says he was the master of the Spacetime Castle, with a brutal personality.

He had been defeated by Zero once, blown into pieces.

Unfortunately, daemon gods do not truly die. They have become one with darkness.

After a long period of time and Belial's efforts, he was finally resurrected and joined this battle to destroy the Land of Light. The second was Ultraman Tregear, who was also a fallen Ultraman.

He was once a friend of Ultraman Taro, but eventually turned to darkness for certain reasons.

He became a mortal enemy of the Land of Light.

More dark daemon gods emerged behind Belial.

Each one exuded a despairing and terrifying aura.

No power could completely destroy them.

Even if killed, they would be resurrected again and again. This is why the Land of Light built the Monster Graveyard, to trap these resurrecting daemon gods and prevent them from causing further harm. The war intensified.

No matter how strong the Ultraman warriors were, it was difficult to last long against the endless wave of monsters.

Ultramen constantly fell, turning into stone statues, and then being shattered. The battle was too fierce, with countless beams of light erupting in the cold universe.

Monsters were torn apart, warships exploded, and Ultramen turned into fragments of stone statues.

Facing the surging, endless enemy, the Ultraman warriors had to retreat little by little, consolidating their defense line.

"Ken, I thought you would hide behind those children," Belial mocked Father of Ultra, saying, "Today is the day of the Land of Light's destruction."

"Belial," Father of Ultra's voice was filled with anger, "You damned traitor."

"Haha," Belial burst into laughter, "Say whatever you want, Ken, today is your death day."

"It's not that easy to kill me," Father of Ultra said. The Ultra Brothers were blocked by the daemon gods around Belial.

And these former good brothers began to settle their grievances.

Father of Ultra had awakened the power of Truth and was also blessed by the Ultra Bell and the Ultra Holy Sword, so his strength was naturally not to be underestimated.

When Belial entered the battlefield, he immediately activated his Holy Radiance form.

His whole body was enveloped in light.

He floated in the void like a sun.

Countless monsters felt an unprecedented pressure and fled the area where Father of Ultra was.

Belial, however, showed a sneer and released his Ultimate form.

Darkness spread like a tide, engulfing him completely, suppressing the light emitted by Father of Ultra.

"Today, we should end everything."

Belial, in his Ultimate form, spoke coldly, his expression incredibly cruel, his towering body like a black mountain. The terrifying dark aura suffocated many Ultramen. The battle between the two was on the verge of breaking out. They were brothers who had grown up together.

But ultimately chose completely different paths.

Belial swung his Battle Nizer, unleashing all his power, and charged towards Father of Ultra.

Father of Ultra, in turn, wielded the Ultra Holy Sword to meet the enemy.

Light and darkness, protection and destruction. The two forces collided.

Soon, the outcome was decided.

Belial, who had long integrated countless dark powers, shattered Father of Ultra's light.

Under the gaze of countless Ultramen, the Father of Ultra's Ultra Holy Sword was shattered, and a huge gap was blasted into his chest. The light faded from his body, revealing a pale, stone-like physique.

Unwilling and unyielding determination shone from the Father of Ultra's eyes.

However, all efforts were futile in the face of absolute power. The Father of Ultra was killed, turning into a stone statue.

"I told you I would kill you today." Belial looked at the Father of Ultra's stone body, casually swinging his Giga Battlenizer to shatter it.

Countless fragments mixed with the remnants flew into the depths of space.

A hero who once protected hope and light thus departed. The Ultra Brothers roared in despair, but they were each entangled by their opponents, only able to watch the Father of Ultra die before them.

Not a single Ultraman failed to show grief and indignation.

However, their anger was useless.

In front of Belial, any resistance was meaningless.

Wielding the Giga Battlenizer, he struck down Ultramen blocking his path one after another. They were powerless to fight back, like frail ants being crushed.

It wasn't until the Ultra Brothers merged their light together, forming a new Shining Ultraman, that they barely broke free from their opponents and blocked Belial from continuing to slaughter the other Ultramen.

"Zero, fulfill your mission."

A voice echoed in the heart of the grieving Zero Ultraman.

Ace Ultraman, who had merged with the other Ultra Brothers, spoke to him telepathically.

"The Plasma Spark Tower is the power source of the Land of Light. Take it away."

Zero was about to object.

How could he leave the battlefield!!

"Child, it takes courage to keep fighting, and it also takes courage to leave." Seven had already guessed his son's thoughts. "Ultramen are born to protect; this is the belief of the Land of Light. Death is not frightening; what is frightening is that everything we protect is completely gone. Do you want this world to fall into eternal darkness?"

"Go. There is still hope in this universe. The sleeping Ultraman King and the other three mysterious Ultras have not yet been defeated, and light still exists in other parts of the universe."

Seven's words made Zero let out a mental roar, then he turned and left, flying towards the Land of Light.

Several New Generation Ultramen also turned and withdrew from the battlefield. The Father of Ultra was dead.

Ultraman King's injuries from the previous battle had not yet recovered. The enemy's numbers were so vast. The defeat of the Land of Light was already a certainty.

When Zero landed on the surface of the Ultra Star, the Plasma Spark Tower had already been moved into a dimensional cube. The Father of Ultra had long anticipated the outcome and had people prepare in advance. The Mother of Ultra handed the dimensional cube to Zero.

"Go, Zero, go find a place where there is light."

"Please come with us," Zero said to the Mother of Ultra.

"No, I have my own mission," the Mother of Ultra said. "Go, take the New Generations and leave. From now on, you are their leader. Remember, don't be reckless anymore."

Seeing the Mother of Ultra's resolve, Zero's face showed pain, but he still turned and flew into the void with the many New Generation Ultramen. The other Ultramen struggled to prevent Belial and other enemies from intercepting the New Generation Ultramen.

Until the New Generation Ultramen tore open a rift in the anti-matter universe, rushed in, and disappeared. The combined power of the Ultra Brothers was extremely strong, no less inferior compared to the Father of Ultra.

But Belial's power was simply too strong.

Besides merging with the omniscient and omnipotent Alien Reiblood, he also possessed other dark powers, and even the legendary Heart of Darkness, which embodied the darkness and evil of the entire universe, had been devoured by him. The Ultra Brothers soon met the same fate as the Father of Ultra. The light disappeared from their bodies, and their stone bodies were smashed to pieces. The Land of Light had fallen. The dark tide swallowed that world.

Storms and vortices of light energy were slowly consumed by it. The pitch-black void was stretched like overly extended tendons and bones, causing planet-sized tentacles to spill out. The Land of Light was destroyed. The biggest obstacle to the dark tide had also been removed.

Like a flood that had lost control of its dam.

It would pour out and inundate the entire universe.

"The age of light is over." Belial watched the Land of Light being devoured by darkness, stating indifferently. This world would soon be devoured.

Plunging into eternal darkness.

"The Plasma Spark Tower has been taken away, my lord," a space alien reported to Belial.

"Go and bring them back," Belial said to the Dark Giant - Ultraman Dark Killer.

Ultraman Dark Killer was a dark giant born from the grudges of monsters and aliens defeated by the Ultramen.

It possessed the ability to resurrect, just like other daemon Gods.

And it could seize the light energy of Ultra Heroes.

It was an existence specifically designed to counter Ultramen.

Ultraman Dark Killer nodded, then took several powerful daemon Gods and a group of monsters and pursued in the direction the New Generation Ultramen had fled. TPC Headquarters.

"These things are enough to prove how terrifying the Imperium is." Nori fiddled with the control panel, displaying a series of photos. These days, the Victory Team members had been using Masaki Keigo as a lead to investigate the Imperium.

Hard work pays off. They finally uncovered some important clues. The Imperium was an invading force from another universe.

Ruled by a cruel, terrifying emperor. This could be seen from the computers and various mechanical equipment they used.

Human brain computers soaked in nutrient tanks.

Naked human bodies bound to mechs with steel spikes and connected by countless metal cables.

Dark skull markings were everywhere.

And some people who disobeyed their orders would be secretly executed. Their frontal lobes removed, programmed, and made into puppets.

Director Sawai's face immediately lit up with joy upon seeing this evidence.

With these, they could use this to make people recognize the true face of the Imperium. The Imperium was not humanity's savior, but merely a terrorist organization.

"You've worked hard," Director Sawai said to the Victory Team members. "This evidence is enough to make countries understand the Imperium's cruelty and untrustworthiness."

"This is what we should do. The Victory Team will absolutely not let those damned guys fool the public like this," Munakata said.

Sawai nodded. There was no time to lose.

He immediately sent some photos to the media, stirring up public opinion, and requested that countries convene a hearing. These terrifying photos were enough to make countries calm down.

And realize from Masaki Keigo's deception that the Imperium was not as wonderful as it was advertised.

As an experienced politician, Director Sawai's network and influence were considerable.

A day later, the entire world was stirred up by those photos, creating a storm of public opinion.

Who would have thought that the Imperium, which had been portrayed so well, would use such terrifying machinery in its daily operations!!

Hearings in various countries were quickly convened.

Masaki Keigo was also required to attend and explain those photos.

At the United Nations Headquarters building.

Representatives from various countries convened this sensational hearing in the Joint Assembly Hall.

Media from various countries also broadcast the hearing live.

"I have nothing to say about these words. These are just slanders and malicious photos. the Imperium does rely on biotechnology, but it is absolutely not as terrifying as shown in the photos," Masaki Keigo said to the representatives from various countries. "The Imperium was born to protect humanity."

"Does protection mean removing people's frontal lobes and turning them into mechanical slaves?" Director Sawai questioned.

"Those who were sentenced as guilty, they betrayed humanity. This is their punishment. the Imperium's enemies are more terrifying than we imagine, and anyone who betrays humanity could cause unimaginable casualties. Therefore, this type of punishment is extremely severe. the Imperium has complete and advanced biotechnology. They don't need to use living people to create those machines; they create them through culture dishes. This is because the Imperium once experienced an AI rebellion, and they firmly believe that the human brain possesses the human soul and will not rebel against the human race itself,"

"Such a statement is simply absurd," Director Sawai said.

"Before Director Sawai questions these things, why not first explain your identity as a traitor?" Masaki Keigo retorted. "I received a report that you are a staunch anti-humanist."

"Absurd! This is blatant slander," Director Sawai said.

"I have evidence, and I have witnesses. You are the real traitor to humanity." Masaki Keigo turned to the representatives of various countries and said, "I request that my witness be allowed to come forward."

"Yes, I testify. Sawai has been plotting anti-human actions."

A gentle female voice came from outside the Joint Assembly Hall. That voice was very familiar.

Causing Sawai to look confused, and after seeing the person, he was dumbfounded and couldn't believe it. The arrival also caused the many members of the Victory Team who were watching the hearing to show astonishment and cry out in surprise.

Because the person who walked out was their long-missing Captain - Iruma Megumi.
