The previously arrogant alien fleet and monster horde were all shocked by the scene before them.
Just a single strike had caused such massive casualties. The originally fierce monsters and aliens were all dumbfounded.
Space twisted.
It was as if an invisible hand was kneading the unseen fabric of spacetime in the void.
Squashing and shaping it.
In the wide-angle observation instruments of some alien spacecraft, the void warped within a thousand-kilometer diameter and produced invisible ripples.
It was as if something was hidden in the cracks of spacetime and was now squeezing out of that fissure.
Like a black hole placed in that location, the powerful gravity twisted the outer shell of the spacetime structure.
Before the eyes of all, a massive warship, comparable in size to a planet, materialized in the void.
Grozam's monster face actually contorted into an (ω)! expression!!
It seemed he had provoked something incredible!!
The bow of the ship was equipped with a wedge-shaped prow bearing a giant golden double-headed eagle.
Huge cathedrals and statues were carved into the rugged hull.
Gilded arches, sculpted cloisters, cathedrals with golden eagles—each structure was hundreds of meters tall.
Besides those, there were giant macro cannons, mass drivers, and planet-destroying cannons with massive muzzles tens of kilometers long.
Even a monster standing before it would be like an ant. That ship was no longer just a warship.
Instead, it was a mobile world, a fusion of manufacturing plants, refineries, power plants, and countless laboratories, chemical storage facilities, and gene banks. The existence of the ship itself was a self-sufficient world with a complete ecosystem.
Many monsters also constricted their pupils. They momentarily wondered if they had woken up too quickly today to be experiencing this illusion!!
They were having a perfectly good time beating up these little ants, but just as they were nearing their destination, such a massive warship popped out!!
Don't ask how big it was; it was about the size of stretching out both hands.
A sixty-meter monster was like a dung beetle before the treads of a heavy tank in front of that ship.
It wouldn't even be seen before being directly crushed.
Let alone launching an attack, just the impact of that ship crashing into them would likely spell their doom.
How did these humans build such a colossal warship?
Their previous performances showed they were so weak. They were crying and screaming at the feet of the monsters, looking utterly pathetic.
And now they've produced such a massive ship!!
If Grozam had known this behemoth was in the solar system, he would have turned around without a second thought and gone back to find the Dark Universe Emperor first.
"Who am I?"
"Where did I come from?"
"Where am I going?"
But the appearance of this gigantic, collosus warship was not the most terrifying thing for the monsters and aliens.
It was the human fleet that followed closely behind.
Ship after ship materialized behind the collosus warship. The scale was immense, numbering over a thousand vessels.
Although slightly fewer in number than the alien fleet.
Each human ship was incredibly vast, comparable to a mobile giant city.
Grozam felt like crying without tears.
He weighed twenty thousand tons and stood about fifty meters tall.
But even the smaller warships were between five and ten kilometers in length.
Standing before those warships, he was like a praying mantis facing a heavy truck.
Many monsters were actually suspended in space, and their slightly dilated pupils revealed their shock and disbelief. These humans must be cheating!!
How could there be so many ships!!
And each one is so huge!!
My own massive size seems to be smaller than their gun muzzles!!
Not only them, but people on Earth also watched this scene with wide eyes. The stark visual contrast made them realize just how terrifying the Imperium was!!
The monster army, which had been relentlessly defeating various colonies, causing Ultraman after Ultraman to fall, and plunging everyone into despair.
Before the Imperium, they were like ants that could be crushed at will. The disparity in strength between the two was like a chasm.
"Am I dreaming, seriously!!"
Horii blurted out, staring at the live broadcast on the television screen.
His eyes were practically popping out. The Imperium's strength was well-known.
But no one had imagined it was this powerful.
Next to him, Munakata, Shinjoh, and Nomi were also stunned and disbelieving. They can deploy such power??
What kind of existence is the Imperium of Man!!
Is this their full strength??
The people who had previously fallen into despair, believing that Earth had no way to stop the monster army, didn't fare much better in their expressions now. The entire world suddenly fell silent, with only the sounds of the self-operating machinery.
Some people slapped themselves hard, the intense pain making them realize they weren't dreaming.
It was too surreal!!
It felt like two tribes fighting, one already wielding bronze weapons, the other still using sticks. The side with bronze weapons was about to win. Then the other side pulled out a starship.
Cheating shouldn't be this terrifying!!
Keigo Masaki, in his office, swallowed several times.
What Chapter Master Tyberus of the Carcharodons said was not an exaggeration. The monster invasion, a catastrophe for their local forces, might not even count as a direct engagement in the eyes of the Imperium!!
It was like waking up from a deathbed dream, only to find that I am the cosmic overlord.
Megumi Iruma was also stunned.
She knew the Imperium was powerful, but she didn't know it was this powerful.
With such an army, she couldn't imagine what kind of life form could stand against the Imperium of Man. The people on the colonies were all silenced as well. Those who had previously grumbled about the harsh conditions of joining the Imperium were all silent now!!
With just this military might, crushing a few colonies would take no time at all, done cleanly and thoroughly. They weren't even worth mentioning before the Imperium.
If not for their human identity, their graves would probably be three meters high by now.
Many people looked at the colonial rulers with subtle expressions.
Back then, when the Imperium offered them formal Imperial citizen status, it was these guys who vehemently promoted the threat of Imperial autocracy, telling them not to believe the propaganda of the Imperial personnel. They portrayed the Holy Emperor as an ambitious schemer and even incited online trolls to smear him on various forums and websites.
Some colonies even made the Holy Emperor into mocking memes and spread them wantonly.
Such behavior, which would typically warrant a dozen exterminatus orders from an Inquisitor, merely resulted in being denied entry.
In a sense, this Advance Exploration Team that came to the Ultra Universe was already quite lenient. They had maintained restraint, not giving these clamoring people the shock of an exterminatus. Thinking of this, the colonial citizens felt a growing dissatisfaction.
If the Imperium were to become extreme, a fleet of that size could blast a planet into fragments in less than ten minutes. Those plutocrats and rulers were gambling with their lives by walking a tightrope!!
More importantly, if they had joined the Imperium, how could they have been so terrified by those damned monsters!!
The monsters and aliens probably wouldn't even be able to cross Pluto.
By raising the double-headed eagle banner, they skipped the struggle and became cosmic overlords directly!!
"Perhaps we can talk," Grozam released a mental wave, wanting to see if negotiation was possible.
"All xenos are to die."
The words of Chapter Master Tyberus of the Carcharodons were chillingly cold.
After speaking, he directly closed the communication channel.
"Let them burn in the void, for the Emperor, for the manifest destiny of the Imperium."
The captains obeyed the Chapter Master's command.
A massive number of warships unleashed a volley. The dense barrage of fire was enough to tear a huge rift in spacetime.
Large numbers of space fighters flew from the decks, like bees leaving a hive. The pilots shouted slogans for the Holy Emperor as they charged towards the enemy in their fighters. The battlefield was littered with vast amounts of debris, all left behind by that terrifying strike.
Fighters zipped past the debris, like hyenas scavenging, hunting down the disabled alien ships. They danced among the shattered metal and rock.
Missiles streaked from their wings, trailing exhaust plumes, slamming into the gaps in the damaged hull structures of the alien ships. The core of the alien spacecraft was detonated. The high-temperature explosion tore through the ship's reactor shield. The contained nuclear fuel surged out, engulfing the screaming aliens.
Plasma flames erupted from the fissures in the wreckage.
Many ships had just managed to escape the aftermath and flying debris from the previous strike. They quickly fell into the slaughter by the human ships. The Imperium had been waiting for a long time. They were experienced, skilled hunters, and the most terrifying thing was that they wouldn't hesitate or feel burdened.
Killing every enemy in the name of the Holy Emperor only made them more exhilarated and joyful.
"It's over," watching the void light up, Grozam used his psyker abilities to issue a command filled with panic to the other monsters and alien warships: "Retreat, flee with all your might. We must go back and tell the Dark Universe Emperor, tell Belial, that these humans now possess the power to resist the wave of darkness. We must gather a large army and destroy them as soon as possible, we must not give them a chance to grow."
Grozam didn't want to admit his failure. The problem was, it wasn't about whether he wanted to admit it. The previously aggressive monster army retreated in disarray.
Facing the overwhelming human forces, they couldn't muster an ounce of courage to resist.
Even the Unparalleled Iron God, a crucial trump card of the Dark Universe Emperor - Alien Empera, could not survive the relentless bombardment and was blasted into fragments.
Lance strikes erupted, illuminating the entire space. Torpedoes spread out in a fan shape, wave after wave assaulting the alien ships. The alien warships exploded in the dark void. The engines, created by heavy element fusion, lost control after the hull was pierced.
Nuclear fuel exploded in the chaos.
Fireballs of intense light and heat erupted at the engine locations, rapidly expanding, illuminating the entire void, standing out against the black velvet backdrop of space. The alien fleet was illuminated by the strong light.
Ship after ship was destroyed at an incredibly fast pace.
Amidst the continuous flashes, metal melted by the intense explosions splashed outwards into the boundless space without resistance. The explosions created a rain of molten metal in all directions. The alien fleet looked as if it had been set ablaze.
Shining brightly, becoming an ocean of fire.
Melted steel, or wreckage carrying flames, surged outwards in all directions like waves. This was a complete and utter massacre.
Grozam's army was annihilated by the humans with overwhelming force, without even putting up a decent counterattack.
All the aliens were in a state of trembling numbness. The human destruction came too quickly, too fiercely.
It surpassed their imagination.
Within minutes, hundreds of warships and thousands of monsters were slaughtered. The void was scattered with a rain of explosion debris.
And countless monster remains.
Each monster weighed tens of thousands of tons, and now they were all blasted into fragments, flying everywhere under the impact of the explosions. They even posed a threat to the surviving ships and monsters. The explosions would give those fragments a terrifying acceleration.
And there was no friction in the void. These fragments flew with the inertia gained from acceleration, releasing all their impact upon hitting a target. The destroyed ships and monsters became obstacles for the remaining ships trying to turn and flee. The ships had to turn away from the battlefield.
And those wrecks were like a raging tide surging from the human direction. The flying debris was as dense as a hailstorm. The aliens' warships and monsters could not fully defend against it.
A considerable number of fragments passed through the warships' intercepting fire and struck the hulls. These mixed solid and liquid metal fragments and monster corpses possessed terrifying impact and destructive power. The hulls of many alien ships were severely damaged, or even penetrated, by the impact of those fragments.
Decompression alarms shrieked inside the ships, and countless aliens were sucked out through the torn breaches, becoming frozen sculptures. Those ships were filled with sharp screams and shouts. The monsters became prey to be slaughtered by humans.
Grozam had to shut down the psyker system connected to the warships.
Countless screaming voices recounted a terrifying truth. Tens of thousands of aliens were killed. The mournful wails were like hell itself. The battle in the void lasted for only half an hour. The previously unstoppable monster legions and alien fleets were reduced to fragments. They formed a debris cloud with a diameter of hundreds of thousands of kilometers, still rapidly expanding.
Flames from some exploding wrecks illuminated the outlines of the debris on the battlefield time and again. The high temperature of the fragments, not yet dissipated, showed as dark red.
Like a corpse bleeding crimson, appearing and disappearing in the dark night of the universe.
Only a small number of aliens, ships, and monsters managed to escape. These pitiful survivors of the massacre fled with all their might towards the outer solar system.
Compared to when they arrived, they were scarred and battered. The screams of the dead still echoed in the ears of the trembling aliens. The massive fleet had once consisted of thousands of ships, but now less than one in a hundred remained.
Grozam shrank his size and hid back inside a ship.
Flying through the star system using Aether Wings consumed stamina.
Moreover, the star system's gravity was like a quagmire, often requiring more effort to maintain high-speed flight. The other monsters were the same. They no longer maintained their giant forms but shrank, reducing stamina consumption. This was to avoid any unexpected situations. To survive, all ships accelerated using every means at their disposal. The Imperium followed closely, biting at the heels of the fleeing enemy.
Hunting down the aliens and monsters one by one.
Some heavily damaged alien ships lost power, their engines no longer working.
Without the protection of their gravity devices, their hulls also cracked under the stress of acceleration. The Imperium was like a pack of wolves, tearing at those ships.
Every time a ship was surrounded by Imperial fighter swarms, countless desperate screams would erupt. The aliens were subjected to the Imperium's merciless slaughter. The sounds of despair and pain forced Grozam to shut down all communication interfaces.
No one could save those guys!!
Humans are too terrifying!!
Fewer and fewer ships survived, but they quickly approached Pluto's orbit.
Once they escaped the gravitational pull of the star system, they could warp away.
Just as Grozam thought he could finally escape, the ship slowed down.
Other ships quickly overtook his vessel, fleeing towards the edge of the star system.
"What's happening?" Grozam asked in terror.
"We've been caught by a tractor beam!!" An alien pounded on the chitinous panel in front of him, speaking through its complex mouthparts.
"Damn it, why us!!" Grozam broke down.
He was just one step away from leaving this terrifying place!
Why, why was he caught!!
"There are abnormal temporal fluctuations, those humans have invaded our ship," a crew member resembling a wasp shrieked.
"They didn't just grab us randomly, they want me as a prisoner for research!!" Grozam immediately guessed what the other party wanted to do!!
Grozam had been too arrogant recently!!
He had repeatedly invaded the human network, demanding they swear surrender to him, a subordinate of the Dark Universe Emperor.
He had exposed his identity completely.
Grozam had believed the battle was a sure victory, so there was no need to hide his identity.
Who could have expected such a turn of events!!
Humans are too malicious!!
They had been patient all this time, just waiting for this moment!!
During the teleportation, Tiberus experienced a brief moment of distraction. The temporal displacement always gave him a peculiar sensation.
He suppressed these emotions and focused on the impending battle. The battle-brothers of the Carcharodons were all well-equipped, skilled warriors, Primaris Marines who had undergone multiple upgrades. They were long familiar with boarding actions. They immediately pinpointed the location of the primary target and advanced towards it. The xenos on the ship quickly reacted. They rapidly assembled to resist the invading humans.
Soon, they realized that was a mistake. These individuals were pure avatars of slaughter. Tiberus did not use a bolter, but a massive power axe.
He repeatedly used his Flash, the enemy had no time to react before he was in front of them.
With a swing of his axe, he cut the body, protected by exoskeleton, scales, and other coverings, into two halves. The aliens under Grozam were primarily Tenbelians serving as armed forces and Mephilasians serving as scientists and strategists. The former had a bluish appearance, with wings on their backs similar to a dung beetle. Their entire bodies were covered in biological armor. They also had an antenna on their heads and a pair of red pointed horns.
In their normal size, they had four fingers on each hand.
When giant, their hands became pincers covered in biological armor. The latter were highly intelligent; the strongest Mephilasian, Mephilas, was also one of the Four Heavenly Kings, known as the 'Wise General'.
Individuals of both these races were very powerful, especially the Mephilasians; not only were they highly intelligent, but their defense was also terrifying. Their physical attributes were comparable to an Ultraman.
But in front of these humans clad in iron armor, the Tenbelians and Mephilasians were like paper, easily cut down and dismembered. Tiberus saw a group of xenos charging towards him and used his Flash.
He appeared directly among the xenos, swinging his axe left and right. The xenos' bodies bent in impossible shapes, broken limbs and debris flew like confetti. The fallen xenos were torn into pieces, leaving large amounts of green blood within the ship. The xenos shrieked in despair, showing their hopelessness against the invincible enemy.
No matter how hard they tried, they could not defeat a single enemy.
Batch after batch of their comrades perished at the hands of these gods of slaughter. They mustered their courage again and again, charging fearlessly towards the Carcharodon warriors. Their weapons landed on the humans' armor repeatedly.
But other than scraping off some surface paint, they caused no damage whatsoever. Tiberus casually shook off the xeno blood clinging to his axe, leading his battle-brothers through the pools of blood and corpses.
Heavy steel boots crushed the xeno corpses. The corridor became a morgue.
Innumerable bodies were piled there.
Splattered blood stained the walls. The Carcharodons quickly broke through the enemy's defenses and reached the bridge of the enemy ship.
A large black chitinous door blocked their path.
And their target, to be captured alive, was behind that door.
Captain Sharr, the Third Company Captain, quietly uttered a prayer to the Holy Emperor, then slammed his fist against the strange door. The material, which looked like chitin, was harder than steel.
A single punch only caused a few minor cracks.
"I told you to train properly, but you wouldn't listen. Now look, you can't even punch open a door," Chapter Master Amborlus said mockingly.
"This material is a bit strange. It absorbed some of the impact," Sharr prepared for his second strike, coordinating with his Heart of the Imperium and Armour Cogitator System, ready to unleash his strongest blow.
Grozam, one of the Four Heavenly Kings, watched the cracked door, his heart filled with extreme fear. The door was made of Nagin, the rarest material in the universe, capable of withstanding the full force of an Ultraman's attack.
Yet now it had been cracked by a single punch from the person outside the door. Those guys were definitely monsters!!
The second strike came as Grozam waited in despair.
A muffled sound rang out. The door protecting the bridge was opened. Those terrifying figures walked in.
Clad in black and gray armor, with a shark symbol on the shoulder.
A golden double-headed eagle was on the chest.
Wearing helmets, red light emanated from the visor devices in the eye slots. Their speed was extreme.
When the door opened, the slaughter began.
In less than a breath, all the aliens holding weapons were killed. The remaining aliens were all trembling.
Grozam was also forced to his knees, a collar restricting giant transformation placed around his neck, completely stripping him of the ability to resist.
"State your name, xeno," Tiberus walked up to Grozam, his voice slightly distorted as it came through the helmet's grille.
Grozam looked up at him. The figure stood over him, his massive gun and axe blade hanging at his waist. The large muzzle was dark, and Grozam felt that the other party probably only needed one shot to blast his non-giant form into pieces.
"I am Grozam, a subordinate of the Dark Universe Emperor, one of the Four Heavenly Kings."
"Is that all the Four Heavenly Kings are capable of?" Tiberus said mockingly, "Can't even fight a proper duel."
This humiliation ignited rage in Grozam's heart.
Even when fighting the Land of Light, he hadn't felt as stifled as he did today.
"Your strength is impressive, why not join the ranks of the Dark Universe Emperor," Grozam said, "The dark tide is about to engulf the entire world; as long as you submit to the Dark Universe Emperor, you will be safe and sound, and can even rule the universe together."
Several Carcharodon warriors exchanged glances, then burst into laughter.
Watching such a foolish primitive being try to recruit them was somehow comical.
Grozam heard the distorted laughter.
He felt a chill run down his spine.
He quickly spoke again.
"We can cooperate, there's no need to be enemies. The Dark Universe Emperor is destined to become an unprecedented great monarch; he will rule countless dark worlds."
Tiberus leaned down to look at Grozam, patting the head that had lost one horn.
"Your so-called Dark Universe Emperor is just a pathetic clown. The being we serve is countless times greater than him. Your only value is to be sent to a biological laboratory, have your memories extracted, and then be made into a specimen."
"No, if you do that, the Dark Universe Emperor will not let you off. He is very powerful, one of the leaders of the dark tide."
Tiberus stopped responding to him.
He straightened up. Two warriors came from the side, placed restraint rings on the xeno named Grozam, and dragged him away.
Grozam tried to struggle, but it was futile.
Facing two fully armed Primaris Marines, even in his giant form, he might not have been able to withstand their strength.
What's more, it couldn't even giantize. This so-called Heavenly King was quickly sent back to the celestial battleship where Magos Sigma was located.
After all his memories were extracted, he was fixed within a time-stasis field like the other monsters, serving as a specimen for the Imperium's cosmic ecology.
Perhaps he might be useful later if an ecological museum or something similar is built.
Very few of the cosmic beings who invaded the solar system managed to escape, but some did return to the Dark daemonic World where the Dark Universe Emperor, Emperan Alien, resided. That daemonic world was terrifying.
It was filled with twisted tentacles, evil eyes, and mouths everywhere.
It was as if the world itself was a living creature. The Dark Universe Emperor sat on a throne made of countless tentacles and skulls.
Hearing the descriptions given by the cosmic beings who had fled back. The Dark Universe Emperor vaguely felt that humans were strange, and perhaps they were even an opportunity for him to become stronger.
"That useless Grozam was captured? He couldn't even escape!! It seems I'll have to go personally. I want to see just how strong these so-called humans are!"
After conquering the Land of Light, the Dark Universe Emperor, Emperan Alien, was no longer willing to obey Belial's commands.
He was also searching everywhere for ways to increase his power.
He was preparing to contend with those Transdimensional Chaos Gods and Belial for the position of Lord of Darkness.
Grozam was captured.
A newly born planet of Light.
Regardless of the reason, it was worth the Dark Universe Emperor, Emperan Alien, making the trip.
Even if there was nothing else, distorting that planet of Light and turning it into a daemonic planet would be a good harvest.
Under the astonished and bewildered gazes of the other Chaos Gods and Belial, the Dark Universe Emperor, Emperan Alien, took his capable subordinates and came out in full force, heading straight for the solar system.
"Respected Evolvers, welcome to the world of rule-bending horrors."
"This instance is the Twisted City. Main quest: Survive for seven days. Side quest: Please excavate within the instance."
"Upon completing the quests, you will receive tickets and return to your original world."
"Please spin the activated roulette in front of you to draw your newbie talent."
"You will have twenty minutes to adapt and make your choice."
"Good luck."
A clear voice sounded in his ear, and Nagase Taku's eyes widened.
A giant roulette wheel emitted a faint glow, floating right in front of him.
"Did I wake up too fast, or did that girl last night use too much force!!"
Nagase Taku rubbed his eyes. The roulette wheel hadn't disappeared.
It just floated there.
After the initial shock, Nagase Taku quickly regained his composure.
He even felt a hint of excitement in his heart.
Could he have become the protagonist in a novel!!
Entering a game, rising all the way, reaching the pinnacle of life, marrying goddesses, older sisters, lolis, rich and beautiful women, tsunderes, twin sisters, mother-daughter pairs... Thinking of this, Nagase Taku became excited.
His hands were trembling slightly as he reached out towards the glowing roulette.
With a touch of his finger, the roulette spun rapidly.
A moment later, it slowly stopped, finally landing on a square that read (Insight).
A ray of light appeared on Nagase Taku's body.
A flood of information poured into his mind, letting him know what this talent was about.
Insight: Passive talent, allows you to see the target's health, status, and weaknesses, and can also initially appraise game items.
"Good stuff," Nagase Taku said with some excitement.
Is this what it means to be an 'Ouki' player!!
Getting a skill like this right from the start!!
What's most important in a game is information.
According to the initial introduction, it seems to be a rule-bending horror instance.
Information is even more crucial then.
Hahaha, this skill is simply heaven-sent.
His vision swayed, and when Nagase Taku recovered, he found himself in a completely new environment. They were on a bustling street, which looked no different from a modern city.
A halo enveloped them. Outside the halo, the people, buildings, and vehicles were all black and white, only they themselves had color.
**Hide yourselves, do not let them discover that you are different from them.**
**Given that this is a Newbie instance, the system will reduce the difficulty.**
**Hint 1: Do not reveal your identity as a player, nor express any abnormality about this city in front of others.**
**Hint 2: If you feel watched while alone, please go to a crowded place as soon as possible.**
**Hint 3: Remember your name and appearance, and always keep a mirror with you.**
**Hint 4: If you see someone who looks exactly like you, kill them immediately.**
**Hint 5: The dead will return, but their memories are chaotic, be careful of them.**
**Hint 6: At night, please stay in a room with a door and walls.**
**Hint 7: Do not directly answer any questions from the natives, nor ignore them completely.**
**Hint 8: Ensure you have enough sleep and food, poor mental state and excessive hunger are likely to lead to some bad things.**
**Hint 13: Go to the nearest supermarket at nine o'clock in the morning six days fromnow. Simply state that you want to leave to complete this instance quest.**
There were a total of thirteen hints, and Nagase Taku quickly memorized them.
With his Insight talent, clearing such an instance would be like a fish in water.
Nagase Taku observed the other players.
Besides him, there were five men and four women.
A total of ten players.
"Are we really chosen? Just like in the novels."
A player who looked like a college student seemed a bit excited.
Presumably, he was someone who often read novels and played games.
Even being pulled into this so-called instance game, he wasn't very scared, but rather eager to try.
"It doesn't look like a prank," a woman in an office uniform looked around, "Current technology can't do this."
"Technology?" The college student said in a mocking tone, "Behind such a game, there can only be one creator, either an omniscient and omnipotent God or some great being we cannot imagine. In any case, this is our opportunity. As long as we can clear the instance and return to the real world, becoming superior to others will be a very easy thing."
"You should have all drawn your newbie talents, right?"
"I got Control, I can control a dead person, and even swap places with them in danger," a seemingly delicate girl said.
"I got Strength. Now I feel like I can punch a cow to death. Kenichi Shirahama is just a small piece of trash who sets up a sign and sells his head."
Nagase Taku didn't speak, just watched coldly as the college student and the woman in white tricked the information out of those fools.
In a game like this, information is the most important thing.
Protecting your own information and acquiring others' information is the best way to clear the instance.
He wouldn't be as stupid as these guys!!
"What's your newbie talent?" A man who looked like he often exercised looked at Nagase Taku.
"None of your business," Nagase Taku said coldly. These words instantly made the muscular man frown.
"The situation is unknown right now. It's definitely best to stick together. You're not even willing to say your talent, do you want to be a lone wolf?" The muscular man asked in a cold voice.
Nagase Taku clenched his fist, then held up a finger.
"Get the f*** out. I'm not walking with you bunch of deadweights."
Anger appeared on the muscular man's face, but he quickly suppressed it.
Nagase Taku walked off to the side by himself. The student guy followed suit. They had read many related novels and knew that those who grouped together often died the fastest. Those guys would soon betray each other due to their inherent flaws, and then they would all die.
Lone wolves live the longest. The muscular man's ability was still decent.
He convinced six people.
Including himself, they formed a small team of seven.
Seven people meant that when they encountered danger, they would have seven talents to solve the problem.
Much better than a lone wolf.
Nagase Taku and the student guy looked at those seven people as if they were already dead.
Grouping together means certain death, don't they understand this?
**Instance officially begins.**
A notification sound rang out. The student guy walked out directly. The task of surviving for six days was still quite simple.
"Brother, do you think my clothes look good?" A innocent and cute loli with a tender face, wearing a JK short skirt, over-the-knee socks, and carrying a small bag, ran up to the student guy.
"Beautiful," the student guy blurted out subconsciously, completely forgetting the hint he had just received.
And the loli tilted her head, her two eyeballs dropped out with a plop, and a large number of tentacles appeared on her face.
Her legs wearing over-the-knee socks also turned into disgusting, rotten sheep hooves.
"Do I still look good like this, brother?" The gentle and sweet voice became sinister, her mouth split open, revealing small but sharp teeth. This sudden scene made the student guy scream subconsciously.
A moment later, the upper half of the student guy was swallowed.
Only his two legs were left outside, kicking and struggling. That desperate scream scared the other players into scattering and fleeing.
Nagase Taku, who was alone, was so scared that he hid in a sewer, his mind completely stopped thinking!!
Novels are all lies!!
If he could get back alive, he would definitely kill those guys for misleading the youth.
"Still can't find the mother body."
It wasn't difficult for the Imperium to infiltrate agents into newbie instances.
Litte, whose appearance had been altered, wandered around in the Twisted City.
He was one of the three from the group of ten who chose to be lone wolves just now.
He was searching for traces of the Chaos God behind the creation of rule-bending horror instances.
A Lord of Wolves had arrived from the Imperium, said to be the Holy Emperor's brother. That guy was incredibly fierce, having killed many powerful enemies.
Many gods in the Cycle Game fled upon hearing his name.
Along with the Lord of Wolves came several Sages. Those guys reeking of machine oil were frantically searching for rule-bending horror Chaos Gods, saying that a crucial experiment required specimens.
If successful, the Imperium would break through an extremely important field, and might even take a big step forward in subspace research.
For this experiment, Litte, who was part of the intelligence group and responsible for literature and scholar work, was sent out.
Acting as an agent, infiltrating the Cycle Game instances, locating the controllers behind those rule-bending horrors, and then notifying the regular forces to capture those unlucky ones.
"I'm a scholar, yet I have to be a hunter," Litte muttered, stepping towards the distance.
