Amelia's back slammed into the cold stone wall. The impact knocked the air from her lungs. A sharp cry tore from her throat as a large hand closed around her neck, lifting her effortlessly. Her feet barely brushed the ground, toes scraping uselessly as his grip tightened, fingers biting into her skin.
She clawed at his wrist, nails scraping useless against his strength.
"P-please…" she gasped, tears spilling as her vision blurred. "Please don't kill me…"
Her voice broke, each word dragged out by pain and terror.
The vampire only smiled. Her fear fed him, she saw it in the brightening glow of his eyes, heard it in the deepening of his breath. Slowly, deliberately, his fangs slid free, sharp and gleaming under the pale moonlight spilling through the high windows.
Amelia squeezed her eyes shut, "This is it, i'm going to die here"
His head tilted toward her exposed neck, suddenly something slammed into him from the side.
