Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Are You Going to Eat or Not?

If Jiang Ran knew she would transmigrate into a book, she would have carefully read it to the end, maybe even memorized every word.

Otherwise, what if she accidentally died again?

The taste of death is truly unbearable.

Having experienced it once, Jiang Ran didn't want to go through it again.

Even if she was now fat, ugly, poor, and miserable, she still wanted to live well.

It's better to live a rough life than to die well, not to mention the original owner died so tragically.

While Jiang Ran was thinking, she suddenly heard a loud bang.

The noise was huge and sudden, startling Jiang Ran, and she felt the bed shake slightly.

Jiang Ran, "..."

Jiang Ran turned her head to look at the door and saw a young man standing there.

The young man looked about seventeen or eighteen, tall and thin, with somewhat dark skin, but his features were quite nice.

Looking at the person in front of her and comparing it with her memories, Jiang Ran recognized who it was.

This was indeed the male lead's brother, Pei Yang.

Jiang Ran kept staring at Pei Yang's face, quickly noticing Pei Yang's frown, a look of displeasure, and even a hint of wariness in his eyes.

"Why are you staring at me? Are you feeling better? If so, get up and eat. Don't always make me bring the food over."

Jiang Ran blinked, just realizing why Pei Yang would come over and say such a thing.

The original owner went for a stroll by the river yesterday and somehow fell into it.

Fortunately, the water wasn't deep, and she wasn't actually drowned.

But she didn't fall lightly, was frightened, and fainted.

This was also in the original novel, where the original owner bounced back after lying in bed for a day.

But now, for some reason, the original owner died, and she transmigrated into the original owner's body.

Thinking of this, Jiang Ran couldn't help but fall into deep thought again.

But in Pei Yang's view, Jiang Ran's reaction was sheer laziness.

Clearly alright, yet refusing to get out of bed.

She used to get up and eat by herself, but does she now not even want to get up for meals, wanting someone to serve it to her?

Thinking of this, Pei Yang's frown deepened, almost pinching a fly to death.

Without looking at Jiang Ran again, Pei Yang turned around and walked away angrily.

When Jiang Ran came to herself, she only saw Pei Yang's departing back.

Jiang Ran blinked, not knowing what was wrong with Pei Yang, and didn't think much of it. She tried to sit up.

She tried.

Carefully tried.

The original owner was simply too fat.

Jiang Ran didn't know how the original owner managed to move freely in this body, but she, using this body for the first time, felt somewhat anxious.

She turned sideways, propped her hands on the bedboard, and straightened her upper body.

After sitting up, she didn't rush to put on shoes, but sat for a while to adapt before putting on shoes and stepping down from the bed.

Putting on shoes was also a bit of a struggle.

Her belly was so big that she couldn't even see her heels when she looked down, so she had to fumble with it.

After finally putting on her shoes, Jiang Ran stood up and headed outside.

With every step, Jiang Ran felt her body constantly jiggling.

Jiggle after jiggle.

The feeling was a bit like bouncing on a trampoline.

Jiang Ran, "..."

The sensation was both wonderful and amusing.

Before transmigrating into the book, Jiang Ran, although a food lover, was well-versed in traditional Chinese medicine and the art of health maintenance, ensuring she never over-ate regardless of the temptation, keeping her figure not perfect but without excess flesh.
