Eve looked at the scenery flashing by outside the window, and suddenly felt much lighter at heart, a smile unknowingly spreading across her lips.
This seemed to be the only happy thing she had recently.
Thinking about it, her smile deepened, and just as she was about to take out her phone to call Zoe and Wyatt for dinner, Skye's call came through.
Skye usually wouldn't call her randomly so as not to disturb her life; if he did, it was either because Grandma's health was poor, or something happened in the Shaw Family again.
She answered the phone, "What's up, Dad."
"Eve, are you off work?"
Skye's voice sounded somewhat cautious, needless to say, he was still at the Shaw Family.
"I am. Just tell me what's going on."
"Well, Mrs. Shaw wants to see you. She wanted me to call and ask you to come over. If you're still at work, forget it, I'll go talk to her."
"Dad."
"Sorry, madam, Eve is still working, how about..."
"Get her back here!"
