Stellan Sutton turned his head and saw Eve Sherman's reflection on the antique vase beside him. He put away his phone, directly hung up the call, and returned to his seat, "What's wrong? You look a bit pale."
Eve Sherman cleared her throat, "Mrs. Shaw just called, saying she wants to meet you."
"I said I won't meet with the Shaws, did you decline it?"
Eve was about to say she neither agreed nor refused when Stellan continued, "It's fine, I'll handle it myself. In the future, just forward any calls from the Shaws to me."
"...Isn't that inappropriate?"
Eve was particularly afraid of causing trouble for others, and this was part of her duties. To pass the bothersome Shaw family onto Stellan because of her own reasons made her feel a bit unworthy of her salary.
"No worries, I can resolve it with a single word, it's more efficient that way."
After speaking, Stellan looked at her intently, "Is there anything else?"
Eve snapped back to reality and shook her head, "No, that's all."
