As the two approached, they overheard some of the previous secretarial staff murmuring.
"I don't know, maybe it's because everyone insists that the restart at Sterling was her accomplishment. Clearly, it was President Sutton's successful decision. I really don't understand how these people can flatter her like that."
"Who knows? People nowadays get by flattering others everywhere. She's no better, Eve Sherman."
Gigi Thorne is now a loyal fan of Eve Sherman, and she can't stand such talk. Her expression darkened as she prepared to step forward and argue with them but was quickly held back by Lucas.
"Don't bother with them. Now President Sutton is no longer the person who allows them to casually speak about the lady. Now, President Sutton is Sherman's husband. Just wait, President Sutton will handle them himself."
